Had a belated Christmas dinner with my team at Rhubarb Encore last night and was such an enjoyable experience for all of us. The food and wine recommendations were excellent. We added on two dishes - chicken cooked in hay and cauliflower beignets for sharing, and all of us particularly enjoyed the chicken. The private room upstairs was beautifully furnished and the service staff was attentive and yet not intrusive, giving us the room and space to conduct the gift exchange in the midst of our meals. Chef/Owner Paul was responsive to the enquiries and requests I had leading up to the dinner itself. Highly recommended.

My wife brought me to Encore by Rhubarb for my birthday dinner, and we had a wonderful time. We both chose the set dinner and shared every dish so we could try the full range, and everything we had was delicious. Even the bread and butter stood out! We happily finished all of it because it was that good. They also have a solid wine selection, and we picked a bottle of Lalande de Pomerol to celebrate the occasion. Service was excellent throughout. The wait staff were friendly, attentive, and prompt, and it was a nice touch that each course was thoughtfully presented as it arrived. The dishes were beautifully crafted, and all the flavours just worked. We truly enjoyed our dinner and are already looking forward to coming back to try the lunch menu.

Encore by Rhubarb is an exceptional French restaurant that keeps me coming back—I've visited three times in just one month! The food is consistently outstanding. Chef Paul is talented and nice, ensuring that every dish, from the freshly baked bread to the delightful desserts, is perfectly balanced and delicious. Some highlights from my visits include: - Pan-fried duck liver - Cured yellowtail - Pigeon - Salmon - Chestnut mousse During my last visit, I celebrated a special occasion and was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary chocolate from the chef. It is truly a hidden gem in town.

I was immediately drawn to the atmosphere upon entering; chatting and dining there was incredibly relaxing and comfortable. Each dish was a visual feast, the presentation so exquisite I couldn't help but take photos for ten minutes straight. The foie gras was absolutely divine, silky smooth and delicate with not a trace of fishiness, perfectly balanced by the accompanying bread. The salmon with vegetables was even more amazing; the salmon was fresh and firm, while the vegetables were crisp and refreshing—a perfectly balanced flavor. I felt fantastic after the meal, and it's already on my weekend dinner list!

I was immediately drawn to this restaurant by the pictures; each dish looked like a meticulously designed work of art, so exquisitely presented that I almost didn't want to eat it. Fengchao Desserts completely overturned my impression of overly sweet treats! The textures were incredibly rich, a delightful interplay of smoothness and crispness, with perfectly balanced sweetness, leaving a subtle, refreshing aftertaste. The beef was so tender it melted in my mouth with a gentle bite, bursting with a rich, milky flavor, perfectly tender and easy to chew. It's impeccable in both appearance and taste! ^_^

The set lunch here offers great value for money. Every plate is beautifully presented, a real visual treat. Among the starters, I especially enjoyed the cured salmon with orange and the ballotine pear, the latter being such a unique and clever pairing. Dessert was a highlight too, the bergamot posset served in the cute little rooster cup, was both refreshing and fun. The only dish I couldn’t quite get into was the roast quail with confit leg, pumpkin and grapes. The plating was stunning, and both the pumpkin puree and grapes were delicious, but the quail itself lacked flavor. The confit leg even had some blood around the bone and wasn’t as tasty as I’d hoped. Overall though, it’s definitely worth a try, especially for the set lunch which is excellent value.

Rhubarb's rebranded Encore offers a fresh take on French classics. Maintaining its stellar brigade under Chef Paul Longworth, the casual bistro delivers Michelin-level flavors without the fuss or hefty price tag. Highlights include the cep & chestnut emulsion, pork belly wrapped in flaky filo, and an unforgettable tete de moine cheese Warm hospitality and attentive service. Chef Paul came by our table to check if everything was ok. When we commented that the wine had abit of sediments, he offered to decant it for us. We appreciate it :)
