Moutarde

I loved every dish I had at Moutarde. It was my birthday lunch, and the staff and chef gave me such a warm welcome, which made the experience feel even more special. ❤️ What really struck me was the quality, creativity and thought that went into the food. You can feel the effort the team puts into making the best use of each ingredient and turning it into something special. I particularly enjoyed the appetisers served at the bar. What a delightful way to start the meal — getting to try a variety of different bites and flavours. I loved the houmous with za’atar, grilled piquillos, tomato & mint salad, carrot & citrus salad, eggs mayo and rostbif carpaccio. Each one was different, and it was so much fun working my way through them. Beef tartare was pleasantly delicious. Then came the Caesar salad, which genuinely impressed me. Omg! The thin, crispy cured meat (was it bacon?) was a delicate touch to the dish and the croutons were so flavorful — definitely not your usual plain croutons. Every component seemed to have been thought through. Thank you for this salad. 👏 And then the French toast — what a perfect ending to the meal! First of all, thank you for making it the size it was. 😂 Just enough to finish my very satisfying meal without being overly heavy. It had a beautifully caramelised crust. Whatever it was, it was absolutely delicious. That crisp, caramelised sweetness was the perfect finale for my taste buds. Most importantly, I left feeling that every dish had been made with care. It wasn’t just good food — there was creativity, technique and thought behind it, and I really appreciated that. Had dinner with a large group of friends here, everyone loved the food, meat was cooked to perfection, the lamb was marinated well, beef wellington was chefs kiss 👩‍🍳💋, so glad we came on a wednesday to be able to try that dish. Apart from that, service was immaculate, all the staff were attentive and enthusiastic about the food. They also remembered of our food allergies! and for that 10/10 would come back <3 Millene stood out for us as she assisted us with our requests too!! She was also friendly and helped us get comfortable around with a nice table :)

Exquisite food, right down to the simple potato fries. All around incredible sauces that complemented the dishes. The steak, lamb rack and fish were wonderfully prepared, leaving behind no trace of any typical unpleasant gaminess or fishiness, then cooked to perfection. Desserts were delightful as well, with slightly mature, not overly-sweet profiles. Even as a fussy foodie, tonight’s food left me in a rare high — will definitely be back! (Was so busy eating that I didn’t even remember to take pictures; except for this beautiful egg mayo) Huge shout to the general manager Bruno for his warm hospitality and engagement with us, and for sharing about the food and desserts and the restaurant’s philosophy, which really completed the experience Honourable mention: Frequent water refills, nicely balanced weighted cutlery. Excellent excellent food and service!!! Probably the top restaurant in the whole of 2026 for me and my partner. Must try’s: cheese soufflé (never had this anywhere else and it’s fantastic), prime rib 300g cut was very generous, tarama-zalatar (foccocia and dip were top tier), iberico pork chop so so well marinated and tender. Service staff were also very accommodating and friendly with menu recommendations and checking up on us. Thanks Bruno and Mil!

I definitely recommend coming here to dine at least once. We had the weekend lunch buffet and the food was definitely worth the price. The food isn’t mind-blowingly good but the quality and variety of items available is fantastic especially considering it’s a buffet. Really enjoy the real French toast and sundaes. Couldn’t get enough of them. The roast meats and fish were great too. There’s even a variety of interesting drinks to choose from.

What a wonderful evening we had at Moutarde by Paul Pairet! We arrived unexpectedly and were immediately greeted with smiles and professionalism. We ordered three starters to share: onion soup, eggs mayonnaise, and cheese soufflé—all excellent. Our two main courses were also perfect: duck confit and Iberian pork chop, presented with a deliberate bistro simplicity but executed with masterful skill! And the desserts were marvelous! The French toast and the praline soufflé were simply stunning. It was a wonderful, relaxed, and unique experience of French gastronomy last night. And honestly, the prices are more than reasonable for cuisine of this quality. Thank you to the entire team at Moutarde!

honestly i don’t know where to begin. i really wanted to like this place as we were there for my birthday dinner but alas no matter how i tried to enjoy myself it proved to be difficult. when we entered the restaurant we were seated and proceeded to browse the menu and place our order. we order the charcuterie board, french onion soup and minute steak frites for sharing between the 2 of us. my partner ordered us some sparkling water as well whilst i browsed the wine menu. when the server came to top our glasses up with water we were served still water mistakenly - which is no issue, we told them it’s fine and we’ll finish these glasses before getting it topped with sparkling the next round. the issue comes when the entire night our water kept going from still to sparkling when different staff members topped it up and at one point my glass was even half still and half sparkling? wine comes in 3 sizes 10cl, 15cl and 50cl. i ordered a 15cl glass of wine and the server came with 50cl, poured about 10cl in my glass before another server realised this issue and apologised and took away the extra wine (without checking if i was correctly served the 15cl) food came almost all at once, our main came whilst we had barely started on the charcuterie board making the table quite cramped. strangely the french onion soup came towards the end despite it being a starter?.. staff seems uncertain and kept making mistakes throughout the night, couldn’t even have dessert here as i’m not sure what else could go wrong. when the bill came i asked my partner to check before paying and sure enough they charged us for 50cl of wine, whilst the staff apologised about the mistake it seemed insincere as the apology was delivered smiling? when leaving none of the staff thanked us or even looked at us (perhaps i expected better service standards for a restaurant at this price point) food was extremely mediocre as well, minute steak was overcooked and charcuterie board just came with a selection of meats no cheese (could be a mistake/oversight on our part, but we were not informed the smaller size does not have cheese)

Really quality French bistro style food. It gives off the bistro vibe for sure, and the waitstaff is super attentive, we even got to meet the head chef! Food it top notch, the salmon was cooked to perfection, it just flaked and was super tender. The steak was tender and juicy and well seasoned, but for me the pork chop took the show, might be the best I’ve had in Singapore. So so tasty! Highly recommend!
