I originally requested a medium-rare steak, but the male server strongly recommended that I order the restaurant’s in-house “rare” instead, assuring me that it was equivalent to what is commonly considered medium-rare by local standards. Unfortunately, the steak was ultimately served at a medium doneness, which was not what I had requested. I had even reconfirmed my preference with the server before the dish was served to avoid any misunderstanding. What made the experience more disappointing was that I noticed diners seated beside us, who appeared to be of Western backgrounds, were not asked the same question or given the same recommendation regarding doneness levels. This left me feeling that my preference was not taken at face value and resulted in an unsatisfactory dining experience.

very disappointing experience got the free flow chuck steak weekday buffet. for the medium rare, 1/3 of the plate was inedible because of how sinewy it was. full of tendons and fat that was so difficult to chew. service staff mentioned that the french doneness used here is usually more rare than other places so was recommended to get medium-well. gave it a try, meat was slightly better, fat was well rendered, but tendons were still tendons. service was good, cook was great, but the cuts were bad. unfortunately, will not be back again.

Paying 6$ For mineral water? Seriously the whole restaurant only I can see 2 repsonsible working. The part time youngster can act as though they did not see customers waving. Upon seating and ordering. We was served a bread with no butter. And no cutleries was given on table. Tikl we have to ask for the butter and the cutleries Then. Then the steak came out , i ordered medium well and was being lectured that medium well looking medium is perfectly fine. In a French restaurant. Later when requesting for my medium well steak to be re-Done by the chef and it came back with a very burnt Foie gras that i paid $12. Its decent price for every other other restaurant, but the standards cant compare with others. ! Althogh i was offered another piece for such outcome. The piece came covered in butter and they're so oily. ! Such a dissapointment. Being, educated of French style of doneness while Not according to sg's standards. Upon taking order, the staff should have advised beforehand that they are following French standards. Instead of upon Receiving ,expectation aint met and yet still got educated!

Had a lovely dining experience here! The staff were really friendly and observant throughout our meal. Special shoutout to the dashing Indian gentleman (I think he might be the manager) — he was super warm and thoughtful. Thank you again for the special birthday cake arrangement, and for personally coming over to wish me a happy birthday. That small gesture really made my day 😊 (p.s. we accidentally pressed 3 star on the app, it should’ve been a 5 star) Food & Environment The beef steak was decent, though I’d say the prices lean a bit on the higher side. The environment was quite lively and noisy since the restaurant was about 80% full, so not a very good place if you need to share some stuff between your friends and the seating between you and the next customer felt a little tight and close 🥹 Overall, great service and a memorable birthday touch. Would come back for the service and hospitality!

The food feels average for the price. We ordered the beef carpaccio, foie gras, onion soup, two steaks, and three desserts. Overall, everything was decent, nothing was very bad, but nothing really stood out either. Will I come bk again, maybe no. The foie gras, in particular, didn’t quite feel as authentic as what you’d get in France, though I understand that this is fairly common in Singapore. The steaks were fine, not especially memorable. Desserts were okay as well, quite traditional, but without much wow factor. For 3 people, the bill came close to SGD 300 even without ordering any alcohol, which made the value feel a bit questionable for what we got. Overall, it’s not a bad place and you won’t leave unhappy, but at this price point, expectations would naturally be higher.

Service was great but maybe because it wasn’t peak hour. Ordered medium rare but I was warned it would be quite rare (as cooked per French standards). Haven’t eaten the same dish in Paris before, I was fine. However, I think medium would have been better. The salad was great, the sauce was a little acidic (doesn’t taste like the ones in France). Salad with balsamic and then sauce is acidic it was both a little too much. Meat was good even though it was quite rare, fries were good as well. Indian manager was great and friendly. He was training a staff and can see he cares. You can find deals on Eatigo.

We were there for lunch on a Sunday. The place was full, good thing we had a reservation made. Complementary bread was served. We had the free flow sparkling water for $3 per pax. The salad was fresh and crisp. The steak was perfectly cooked to the doneness I like and the serving of the fried was generous. We also enjoyed the crab cake and duck rillette with baguette. It’s pretty good value for the price we paid. Will be back for more good food

Discovered on the EATIGO app that lunches here were 50% off for their popular dishes during lunch on weekdays & all day on Sundays for the month of Sep2025! It was already almost full when I arrived at 11.45am on a Sunday. The relaxed atmosphere, quiet murmurs and tinkering of cutlery indicated a serious interest in the food before the other patrons so I happily indulged in a bowl of French Onion Soup, Crab cakes and Marrow Beef Tartare with a glass of Aperol. After a short wait, the feasting began. This was a really good bowl of chewy melted cheese on toast floating on gazillions shreds of onions that just disintegrated into unami bursts of delight as soon as it entered my mouth. Definitely one of the best onion soups I’ve tasted. The two crab cakes were pretty to look at, nicely fried all round with generous amounts of crab inside. My ‘main’ not only looked beautiful but tasted pretty good too: small cubes of beef tartare piled high over the length of the sizzling bone marrow: how decadent and unctuous. Yum! A happy palate deserved to be cleansed with a delicious creamy flat white, which L’Entrecôte delivered. What a delightful Sunday lunch. Getting here by public transport (MRT) was a breeze with the TEL line (Exit 3 @Maxwell), cross Neil Rd, then a short walk up Duxton Rd, turn right onto Duxton Hill. If you drive, just park @Craig Place Garage (off Craig Rd) or the carpark @Duxton Hill.
