One of the densest eating districts in the city, and the one with the widest range. Old kopitiams, claypot rice and Cantonese shophouse restaurants sit a few minutes' walk from Duxton Hill's steakhouses, French bistros and tasting-menu rooms. After dinner the same shophouses hold one of the city's thickest clusters of cocktail bars, several of them regulars on regional best-bar lists, while the specialty coffee bars open early and run through the afternoon. Prices go from a few dollars at a food-centre counter to a full fine-dining bill, often on the same block.
