⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My visit to Sago House was easily one of the highlights of my time in Singapore. It’s easy to see why this bar has earned recognition among Asia’s most celebrated cocktail destinations. From the moment we walked through the black curtains, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. The team was knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely excited to guide us through the menu. What really stood out was the creativity behind the cocktails—beautifully balanced drinks made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and presented without unnecessary fuss. The venue manages to combine world-class mixology with the warmth and charm of a neighbourhood bar. Every drink felt thoughtfully crafted, and the energy of the room made it difficult to leave after just one round. To top it off they have a tradition of an antique gum ball machine with surprise gifts. I got a baseball cap. If you’re visiting Singapore and appreciate exceptional cocktails, outstanding hospitality, and a unique local experience, Sago House deserves a place at the very top of your list. Highly recommended. 🍸👏🍸

They change their menu weekly, which I found really interesting! I actually first came across this place while looking for another bar I wanted to try, and one of the staff told us, “Come back here as well.” And we actually did! At first, we thought the place was empty, but it turned out there was a curtain separating the space—and inside, it was packed with people drinking and having fun. The ambiance was really nice and had such a great energy. I forgot to get the name of the staff who assisted us, but he was very accommodating and patiently answered all our questions. Even my friend said he would definitely come back because of how good the drinks were.

Drinks weren’t exactly what we expected. Requested for fruity/sweet palate drinks, that would best represent Sago House and got very spicy drinks. Wouldn’t blame the staff, it was on us to try. Very loud ambience..staff was somewhat rude(?)..not sure how the check system worked but I had to ask 5 times.

My wife and I made a trip to Singapore to explore the hawkers and cocktail scene. We stopped by Sago House on our last night there (1/25) on a recommendation from a friend who came for a Singapore GP event and we were glad to be able to sit at the bar. I recommend coming on a Sunday if you like to relax and chat with the bartenders while they build your drinks. We had the pleasure of being there while Hazel, Nazri and Josh were working the bar and they made our last night in Singapore an unforgettable experience. With their drinks changing weekly you get to try new cocktails every time if you are there more than a week. We started off with the Flower Child and Lightning Bug both ended up being delicious drinks. Here is a review of the drinks we had: Lightning Bug Rating: 5/5 -very refreshing -balanced citrusy taste -not too sweet -subtle oolong taste Flower Child Rating: 4.7/5 -Rye is the forefront of the drink -Spirit forward -Subtle St Germain flavor on the tail end of the drink -slightly sweet Popcorn Old Fashioned Rating: 4.7/5 -buttery mouthfeel from infusing popcorn oil into the bourbon -nice twist on a classic old fashioned -spirit forward cocktail -nice slow sipping drink Sichuan Negroni Rating: 4.8/5 -classic Campari flavor with a twist of strawberry infusion for some tartness -spirit forward cocktail -can taste the tequila flavor right away? -flavor profile develops as the ice melts and opens up the peppercorn spiciness in the drink We got to ask for some bespoke drinks based on our flavor preferences and the drinks Hazel made did not disappoint. My wife tends to like more spirit forward tart drinks and I typically like to order creamy gin floral drinks. We got some cool merch hats to bring home with us. We will definitely come back here to try their new creative cocktails.

Visited on a Friday night. Brilliant vibes, fun crew and delicious drinks. Food was hit and miss. Cocktails: Popcorn old fashion - Spectacular. A gentle popcorn flavor in a pretty good old fashion. Sichuan Negroni - Very pleasant. Strawberry notes complemented the bitterness and the kick from sichuan peppercorns. Also had a cocktail with blueberries and lemons. Delicious overall but way too much ice and too little cocktail. Food: The popcorn chicken was bomb but the philly cheesesteak was a soggy, meekly flavored disappointment. Overall, had a great night and will definitely be back for more.

Last visited in May 2025 This was my first time visiting Sago House at their current location. Had been to their previous Chinatown location a few times. As usual, Sago House has a drinks/cocktail menu which changes every week. For my May 2025 visit, they had a Lady Gaga theme for the menu (since it coincided with the Lady Gaga concerts in SG). The drinks were good, and like always, it’s nice to visit Sago House to try new concoctions. Service is really fantastic here. Kind, polite and helpful staff. There was one drink which we did not like that much and the staff figured that out and gave us a complimentary drink. Do a reservation, esp if you are visiting in weekends as this place can get really crowded due to its popularity. Would always recommend a visit to Sago House for one and all.

This bar is a vibe. Waiters are cute and friendly. I didn't like my drink, but really enjoyed the sago milk cookies skillet. Quite quiet and easy to have a conversation. Decor in the restroom is as eclectic and inspiring, there's a stand-up comedy audio playing, so you're having laughs while you're on the toilet. Half filled on a Tuesday at 9pm. Will be back to check out other drinks.
