Armoury Steakhouse - Orchard Central

Came with a small group and took the Aussie Angus buffet at $50++. First set of sides ( fries, Onion rings and Karate) came semi ward, fries were almost cold) and the first round of steak came. Round, succulent but pretty cold. Where do they rest these steaks?? sent them back and and we got some fresh ones but a couple of reheated old ones. They were fine. Second round were fine but came with the pepper sauce already on ( we asked for on the side as 2 of us don't like pepper sauce) we the any way by just sharing between 3. So at this stage 2 people has been given 2 reheated steaks and nothing else) Round 3 got interesting as we had the same meat or so we thought but you will see the difference in the pics. Again, meat was not that warm but we let is fly as 2 of us had not much to eat at that point. Round 4, same poor quality steaks but by that time we had given up as we can get 2nd rate steaks elsewhere at half this price. (photos) steak one and steak 3 pictured. First one round and meaty, 2nd one full of gristle and fat. Good wine selection though. Will we go back, that's always the question. No.

Tucked away on the 11th floor of Orchard Central, Armoury Steakhouse might not be the first name that pops up in mainstream Orchard Road dining discussions, but it is an absolute legitimate hidden gem of a steakhouse and bar. The ambiance is wonderful, and the service team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. ​We ordered the A3/4 Hokkaido F1 Wagyu Ribeye set (which was beautifully marbled and cooked to absolute perfection) and upgraded our sides to the deeply savory truffle kombu fries, alongside a portion of earthy sautéed mushrooms and perfectly charred grilled asparagus. We also added a rich, buttery roasted bone marrow and their tangy spicy buffalo chicken winglets to share. Rounding the entire meal off with some incredibly value-for-money beers from their "beer-o'clock" promotion made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening of great food and long conversations. Highly recommended if you want an excellent steak night away from the usual chaotic crowds.

A weekend lunch at Armoury Steakhouse in Orchard Central surprisingly quiet for a city centre location, and the menu holds its own comfortably against the surrounding competition. We ordered two steaks, A5 Wagyu and Australian Ribeye. The A5 Wagyu was the undisputed star; perfectly cooked, effortlessly tender, and that signature melt-in-mouth richness that reminds you why it commands a premium. The Australian Ribeye, tasted side by side, inevitably suffered by comparison, noticeably chewier against the Wagyu's buttery texture. In isolation though, it's a genuinely solid, well-prepared cut that would satisfy on any other table.

Weekday lunch set $11.90. The grilled chicken was so so. Astons chargrilled chicken is a lot better

I ordered the Truffles Kombu Fries & it was perfect. The Sake Clams was ok. Not very flavourful. The nightmare was the 500g Black Angus Ribeye. After we ate half of it.. our jaws were aching. We asked the waiter to witness us cutting into it and even he said “wah so tough the meat”. But even after he conveyed the message to the chef we were not offered an alternative. So yeah. We left half a slab of rubber steak on our plates. I chose the premium steak and this happens. Imagine if I chose the buffet with “regular” steak 🙄. Never again. $120+ for inedible steak is a no no.

Tucked away on the top floor of Orchard Central, this is a great value for money place to dine at if you're craving steaks. The sides here are generous and taste really good, the loaded fries in particular are pretty yummy! The steaks of course were also well cooked and flavourful. The staff were super attentive and very friendly, it's a pleasure to dine here whether you're here for a date night or a bros night out, or a family dinner, everyone should feel pretty comfy here!

Place looks pretty classy, had the steak buffet and it was really underwhelming. The 500g add on was probably the better things you can get from it but being limited to 1 for every 3 people is pretty upsetting. The cuts of steak were thin, overcooked and very greasy. The must have re-used some of the oil that they fry the fish with because it tasted pretty fishy too. Additionally it takes like 30++ mins for the steak order to come. All in all the sides were not too bad the onion rings were pretty good but first order of them came kinda cold and took very long as well. All in all, not worth to get the buffet. Steaks are medioace at best absolutely terrible on average. Barely any char and looks very unappetizing with how gray it is. Let alone the fact that my steaks tasted really fishy.

Not sure why my Reservation on the website did not register, and staff could only seat our party at a inner booth. However, they were really helpful in moving us to the window seats once available, checking in regularly if we were happy for our seats. Food-wise - had the A3/4 Wagyu Ribeye (Japan) Medium Rare and it was amazing! The Australian Black Angus Ribeye was a little tough and chewy. Had sharing sides like Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and the Asparagus, those were so-so not bad. The Molten Lava Cake was so good, will come back just for the dessert. However, we mentioned to the staff that it was for a birthday celebration and they forgot, so there wasn't much of a surprise :(
