Armoury Steakhouse - Orchard Central

Not sure why my Reservation on the website did not register, and staff could only seat our party at a inner booth. However, they were really helpful in moving us to the window seats once available, checking in regularly if we were happy for our seats. Food-wise - had the A3/4 Wagyu Ribeye (Japan) Medium Rare and it was amazing! The Australian Black Angus Ribeye was a little tough and chewy. Had sharing sides like Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and the Asparagus, those were so-so not bad. The Molten Lava Cake was so good, will come back just for the dessert. However, we mentioned to the staff that it was for a birthday celebration and they forgot, so there wasn't much of a surprise :(

We are a family of 2 adults and 1 child, and we were starving, so we decided to try their buffet option, especially since we’re big meat lovers. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. However, no matter how great the service is, the food is ultimately the main reason we came. For the mains, we ordered five portions of ribeye, striploin, BBQ pork belly, and oven-baked dory. For sides, we had one portion each of chicken karaage, fries, greens, and buttered corn. Armoury’s focus is steak, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The steak was tough and rubbery—far below what we would expect, even from a casual coffeeshop. We tried a second round of ribeye and striploin, and while the striploin was slightly better, the ribeye was still unacceptable. We’ve read glowing reviews praising the restaurant, but perhaps those are only applicable to the à la carte menu. If a restaurant offers a buffet, the quality should not fall this low. Will we return to try the à la carte menu? Sad to say No…

My friends and I had our post‑Christmas gathering at Armoury Steakhouse – Orchard Central a week ago, and it was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the warm ambience set the tone for a festive evening. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure our group felt well taken care of throughout the night. The food was the highlight — beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. All the food we ordered were cooked to perfection, tender and flavourful, while the sides and starters complemented the mains perfectly. Every dish, from the creamy mushroom soup to the grilled salmon, showcased quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. The drinks were equally impressive, with creative presentations that added a fun touch to the celebration. This was the perfect place to gather, laugh, and enjoy a memorable meal together. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Armoury Steakhouse has truly earned its reputation, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great dining experience in Orchard Central.

On the positive side, the menu offers a wide variety of steak cuts and the food presentation looks genuinely appetizing. The pricing is also quite reasonable for a prime location like Orchard. ​However, two major issues held back the experience: ​The Environment: The dining area was extremely hot, as if the air conditioning wasn't working at all. It was quite uncomfortable to enjoy a meal in such a humid atmosphere. ​Steak Quality: The quality was very inconsistent. My steak had a lot of gristle and excessive fat. I’m not sure if this was because I ordered a promotional item, but it definitely felt subpar. I suspect their regular menu items might be better, but this particular experience was a letdown. ​The Service: I must say the staff were quite friendly and the overall vibe of the place is nice—if only they could fix the cooling system! ​Verdict: I’m giving 3 stars because the service and variety are there, but the heat and meat quality need urgent attention.

Dined at Armoury Steak House and came away impressed. While the steak comes in at $63, it was honestly shockingly tender. Cooked beautifully and incredibly easy to cut, with a rich, beefy flavor that justified the price more than expected. Each bite felt well thought out, from seasoning to doneness. The ambience is stylish yet comfortable, making it a great spot for a proper sit-down meal, whether for a special occasion or a quality steak craving. Service was attentive and polished without feeling overbearing, adding to the overall experience. It’s not an everyday splurge, but for the quality of the steak and the solid execution, Armoury Steak House delivers. A strong four-star experience and one I’d happily return to when I’m in the mood to treat myself.

Meet some friends and decided to hang out here for dinner, considering the good reviews. Ordered a wagyu burger, onion ring and craft beer. Craft Beer was good and priced by the hour. For example, 6pm cost $6 dollars. Quite a deal at Orchard area. However, the burger was not good. After the few bites the bread become soggy, wagyu beef patties was bland and not much taste. Avoid the burger if you are here. Not really sure about the steak, but it wasn't some good experience with the burger. Overall, it would be a good place to hang out and have some bites with beer. I would not return for food.

⚠️The staffs are really great and polite!! Their service is good and they are very helpful. I gave 1 star specially for the one in the kitchen.. ⚠️ Definitely not recommended if you are here for the steaks! What is the point of asking me how well I want my beef to be cooked when you can't even cook it??? Give me the steak and kitchen, I can definitely do better than this... Medium rare, that's what we wanted. Nothing we get was medium rare, some parts are medium well and the ends are totally well done lol. See our pic, no red at all, left only pink and so much brown. We splurged $300+ sgd on this tomahawk, half of the steak was well done and tasted like dried tissue paper. It's soooo hard for us to chew! We were vastly disappointed by the tomahawk steak, which was the main highlight of our dinner. It was a total waste of such a good steak because of poor cooking from the kitchen. Kitchen, please go back to class and learn again. Other items of the menu like pasta and soup are still worth to try. Definitely not the steaks, you can't trust this kitchen with such a highly priced steak bro. We will never come back again, and we hope innocent diners won't come here and experience what we had.

Was such a frustrating experience trying to get the wait staffs attention especially since we dined here for a birthday. Several times we’d have to wave like our lives depended on it (to no avail) and stand and head to the kitchen to order because no one looks around. Even still they didn’t want to take our order and told us to ask someone else. Right from when we sat down we were left to our own defences and was not instructed how to go about ordering. Food is strange too, with random doneness and cuts. It’s a mixed bag of well done, medium and rare and definitely not ribeye as stated. Steak taste is below average too unfortunately. Some cuts were shockingly inedible. Would not recommend and not worth the $50 per pax :(
