MERCI MARCEL ORCHARD

Visited Merci Marcel with the family on a Sunday morning and had a fantastic experience. We opted for the outdoor seating to enjoy the lovely weather, and the whole setting paired with the chic, relaxed atmosphere set the perfect tone for the weekend. The breakfast was spot-on from start to finish the French toast was beautiful, the açaí bowl and granola were fresh and delicious, the eggs were cooked just right, and the coffee was great. The staff were wonderfully warm and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel genuinely looked after. Highly recommended for anyone wanting top-notch food, warm service, and a beautiful weekend brunch vibe in Singapore!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Merci Marcel for my birthday celebration. We started with two bottles of champagne and a cheese platter featuring three cheeses from their daily selection, which was a great way to kick off the meal. For mains, we had the Roasted Chicken served with tarragon-infused tagliatelle and a tomato & raspberry vinegar sauce, as well as the Barramundi Fillet accompanied by slow-cooked bell peppers and onions spiced with cumin and fresh coriander. Both dishes were beautifully presented, flavourful, and well-executed. What truly stood out was the warm and attentive service throughout the evening. To top everything off, the team surprised us with a complimentary chocolate brownie for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to end the meal. Thank you to the Merci Marcel team for the excellent food, wonderful hospitality, and for making my birthday celebration extra special. Looking forward to visiting again!

A cozy spot with great vibes, greenery, and a really welcoming atmosphere. The big windows bring in plenty of natural light, while the semi-outdoor seating makes it feel relaxed and refreshing. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Conveniently located right next to the Royal Thai Embassy, it’s a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. Definitely a place I’d visit again!

Staff- Marilyn is exceptionally warm, welcoming & fast to attend. She attended to customers with her best smile, paying attention to details of order made. Location is easily accessible. Located beside the Thai Embassy, it gives you a view of the embassy with some greenery as well. Internal ambience of the place is good as well.

Amazing service! The food was delicious and it was worth every penny. Nice ambient and was there for a bridal party! Huge shoutout to the team for taking good care of us. We were seated facing the large glass window and there was a guy who kept taking photos of us (we were a group of 5 ladies). We told the staff and they went out to speak to the individual. It was really commendable and we really appreciate them going out of their way to help us feel more comfortable dining there. Thank you to the team for looking out for us! FYI we were there on 16 Aug evening, dinner time.

+ the truffle scrambled eggs were delicious 🤤 Eggs benedict also very tasty + the cortado was very good. They offer alternative types of milk too + they pay attention to dietary restrictions + fast service ans the place has a nice design - the chia pudding was ok, the consistency felt a bit too thick for me though Brunch time was a bit busy, it might be better to make a reservation.

Came here for a very early breakfast with my sister, and we enjoyed our time despite the hiccups. Coffee is always lovely with Merci Marcel, and food is generous with quality ingredients. We got the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and a warm croissant. The music inside is a little too loud but it isn't a dealbreaker. We aren't rushed, and had a relatively comfortable booth. The service, however, left much to be desired. Our table was not cleared until we asked, and we were repeatedly skipped by the staff who would hurry to clear and serve the only other table there (2 expats). There was also a Caucasian waiter who rudely and coldly told me to "use the QR code" when I asked for the bill before huffing and walking off - that left me a little surprised when he was smiling and warm to literally everyone else (maybe it's silly but another staff took our order verbally, so we didn't know about the QR code. If I knew to use the QR code to pay, I wouldn't have asked at all mate). I frequent the Tiong Bahru branch a lot, and based on this experience, I think I'll just stick to them from now.

Nice café at the quieter end of Orchard Road, next to the Thai Embassy. Opens from 8am, making it a convenient place for an early breakfast or coffee. The setting is relaxed, with a mix of vintage & modern furniture.
