Verandah Rooftop Rotisserie

Extremely disappointed with how Verandah Rooftop Rotisserie handled what I believe is a misleading promotion and a poorly managed customer experience. Before making my reservation, I checked the DBS promotion page for Verandah Rooftop Rotisserie. The page clearly advertised “20% off dinner” and “dine-4-pay-3”. The visible Terms & Conditions did not state that bookings made through third-party reservation platforms would be excluded from the promotion. Like many customers, I searched for the restaurant via Google and used the “Reserve a table” function that appeared on the restaurant’s listing. At no point was it obvious that using this booking route would allegedly make me ineligible for the DBS promotion. A reasonable customer would assume that booking through the links associated with the restaurant’s Google listing or the DBS promotion page would qualify for the advertised offer. To avoid any misunderstanding, I specifically asked a young Chinese male waiter before dining whether the DBS promotion was valid. He confirmed that it was (please review your CCTV if needed). Based on that assurance, my family and I proceeded with our meal. The problem started when it came time to pay. The cashier immediately said, “You booked through Eatigo right? So no discount.” I was surprised because I did not recall booking through Eatigo. The explanation given was that Eatigo already provided discounts, therefore the DBS promotion could not be applied. Fair enough. At that point, I was managing young children who were tired and cranky, so I paid the bill and left. After leaving, I checked my booking confirmation email and discovered that I had not booked through Eatigo at all. The booking was actually through Chope. I returned to the restaurant to clarify the situation. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, I was simply told that any third-party booking platform would not qualify for the DBS promotion. This place deserves more patrons. It was two thirds empty when we were there. We reckoned that the people who know it are mainly the guests of the hotel. The atmosphere is lovely and next to an inviting swimming pool. The wait staff were superb, so friendly and so open to joke and laugh with us. One staff who's name I regret I did not get, who still stood out for her constantly smiling demeanor. The mains that we had were very good, the steak, the chicken, the pizza. The staff were kind enough to warn us that the pizza was quite big. The pizza came straight from the oven, almost too hot to eat. The steak was excellent, the chicken was the weakest of the three. The chef's love was apparent. The items on the buffet were very local, and it's here that there was a slight letdown for me. I would have preferred some cold seafood. I would have preferred a wider selection instead of a few carb heavy items, like laksa, fried rice, and potatoes. I would have preferred a few types of satay, instead of just chicken. All that being said, what was on offer was good. Just that nothing really stood out for me. All in all, a nice place to hang, and you can certainly talk as much as you want and not bother anyone!

We LOVED the floating basket experience by the Verandah infinity pool!! Everything went perfect for my friend's birthday surprise. Communication and organisation was super easy with email, Arin assisted me and thanks to her great communication and support we had a great experience. The food was superb quality - super tasty vegetarian food was served. And the cocktails also to die for!! Would totally recommend as a break from the busy city! Thank you Arin!!!!

Our first visit to this establishment with the use of eatigo’s 30% dining deal. Arin welcomed us warmly at the entrance and Thiban served us at the table. Interiors were plush and spacious. It was one of the rare times we had a semi buffet, and we were excited to get a recommendation of the their top mains. We were very pleased with Thiban’s recommendation of the Miso Cod with Potato Espuma which came hot and done à la minute. The spread of the buffet, though limited, had superb quality. Especially enjoyed the fresh seafood on ice, the octopus carpaccio and the availibity of pate, rilette and a wonderful kombu butter that went with sourdough available at the bread station with a toast machine. Mushroom soup was super as well, although we would have preferred if it was made to be served at a higher temperature. My mother especially enjoyed the pasta aglio olio and the baked salmon at the mains station. We were pleasantly surprised to see durian pengat at the dessert station too and I enjoyed in particular their chocolate mousse, it was smooth, rich but not overpowering. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Arin, Thiban, Ruben and the chefs at Verendah! We will love to return! :)

Had a lovely Sunday brunch here 😊 The rooftop layout is beautiful, bright, and offers a wonderful, breezy view by the pool deck. While the overall buffet selection was fairly elegant, the service team made the afternoon special. Special thanks to May, who was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and took great care of us throughout our meal. It's a very pleasant, relaxing space to unwind! Thank you Cynthia for your warmth and hospitality as well !

Really enjoyed our visit here. The staff were friendly, attentive and very accommodating. I especially appreciated that they took the initiative and noticed what we needed without us having to keep asking. Special thanks to Cynthia, Thiban and Samuel for taking such good care of us and making the experience even more pleasant. We booked through Eatigo, which made it really good value for money. The pastries were also very good - fresh, tasty and definitely a highlight. Overall, a very pleasant experience with good service, good food and great value. Would happily come back again.

A wonderful time with family & friends! Chantel⁩ & Celestine supported in the planning of the birthday celebration. They were collaborative with taking in suggestions & providing feedback. Overall the venue & suport teams shined in their presentation & service Feedback received from almost all at the celebration, of how amazing the dishes from menu tasted 😍 full complements to the Chefs & kitchen support team. The restaurant has been decorated well & allowed all at the event to enjoy the cozy setting.

Had an amazing experience with the Romantic Dip & Sip package. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Connie was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. She even kindly offered to take photos for us, which we truly appreciated. Her passion for her work really shows in the way she serves with warmth and enthusiasm. My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing afternoon enjoying the Dip & Sip experience.
