I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Francis. Francis was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional throughout my visit. His genuine hospitality, friendly attitude, and attention to detail made my dining experience truly memorable. He anticipated my needs, ensured everything was perfect, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. Outstanding service like his deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Francis, for making my experience at Republic so enjoyable. Your dedication and passion for hospitality are truly appreciated, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Went there for a soft launch of their new Sunset Aperitivo. Had a great time! The cocktails and alcohol provided were excellent! (even on free-flow, where quality usually takes a hit) They were consistently well made and enjoyable. Service was top-notch too. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and made the whole experience even better. Shoutout to Aleron and Zack. Atmosphere is definitely what you expect for an upscale bar in a high-class hotel. Appropriate lighting and chill music. The food was also delicious overall, but don't expect a full meal. It's an Aperitivo after all. Perfect spot for chill drinks and light bites though.

I've been here many times but it's the first time that i felt that the service was really bad. when we sat at the bar, menu was passed by the bartender to us, without saying hi or hello... it was drop infront of us, like we were not welcome to sit at the bar. (we used to sit at the bar) he left, after few minutes he came back, just plain staring and not even asking if we were ready to order/need more time etc.. (no upsell, no recommendations, not even asking what's our preferences). Just plain staring and standing infront of us. we were struggling coz it was a new menu, as we used to Patronise the bar using the old menu (+points). When we asked out of curiosity on who's doing the drinks, the Bartender came in and said, "me, I'm the executive here". (staring on us, not even a single smile or happy face). we don't mean to offend, we were just asking on who's taking charge or doing the drinks. (the way they shake, stir drinks, hold trays...etc..) reflects on how well versed they were. looks newbie.. drinks were served, not even mentioning what it was,. not even a check back on how's the drinks and everything was done on our side. guess the great folks all left the place to be replace with newbie without passion. I'm not trying to be picky, we were paying a $30++ worth of drink per person and expects a little bit of a better service. not a grumpy staff staring on us. BAD SVC!!!!

Firstly, I must say the photos does not do the place justice. Rupublic Bar, located inside Ritz-Carlton Hotel is a wonderful place. A good bar has quite a few key ingredients; ambience, drinks, service, and Republic has all of them. Its been days, but I still think about their drink "Mission" that has the Macallan Sherry Oak in it, which comes out so floral and delicious whilst retaining the strength of a whisky. Special mention as well not only to the creative drinks created, but also the way the menu was presented. I tried to take a photo of it but again, you got to see it to understand the heart and design that went into it. Very interesting. I hope that menu is there to stay; cheers!

Visited in Jan 2026 Visited with friends. Ended up trying quite a few cocktails from their drinks menu. Their signature cocktail menu is quite extensive and you have quite a few options to choose from. The drinks were decent on average. Some drinks were really good while some had a bit of questionable taste profile - it is a matter of personal preferences I guess. My favourite drink was the Strawberry Fields. The Food menu has some light bites and appetisers. We ordered a few dishes to accompany with the drinks. Service was quite good. Overall, a decent bar.

It was my first time having afternoon tea overseas! Everyone was very friendly, and the female waitress who guided me was especially lovely. There was an online confirmation of the occasion, and when I wrote "wedding anniversary," they brought out a celebratory plate. It was truly wonderful! That's all I can say. It was the last day of our trip, and we were exhausted. We couldn't catch a taxi, so we walked from Chinatown, and my kids were tired and in a bad mood, but they served us drinks and other treats with a smile, and I really appreciated the hotel's service. Thank you for the first-class service!!

Visited for the festive afternoon tea to celebrate my mum’s birthday. Savoury bites were enjoyable, but the desserts leaned overwhelmingly sweet. I had indicated in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration and this was acknowledged by the staff beforehand, so it was disappointing that nothing was arranged on the day. This felt out of character for any establishment that prides itself on good service, let alone the Ritz. We did notice that a large portion of the staff were gathered celebrating another birthday, which appeared to be for a staff member. While understandable, this does not justify our booking note being overlooked. Overall, the food was pleasant, but the experience fell short of expectations for a birthday celebration.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the delicious dessert. The bar is gorgeous, and the Ritz’s commitment to excellence really shines through in every detail. I’d happily come back again to chill and enjoy the space.
