I had an excellent solo dinner at Loulou. From the moment I walked in, there was an understated confidence that told me this was going to be a treat. I began with a steak tartare that was beautifully seasoned and well balanced, simple on the surface but full of flavour. I then chose the Margaret River tenderloin, served with charcoal grilled asparagus and Provençale potatoes. Fresh thyme sat alongside the steak, with a parsley and garlic sauce that worked perfectly. Everything was cooked with precision, exactly as you would hope from a place of this calibre. Not fussy, not overworked, just very good French cooking with real self assurance in both preparation and plating. I could not resist the Champagne infused Poire Belle-Hélène to finish, an all time favourite. A perfectly poached pear in a pool of dark chocolate, with touches of cream and crunch. Just classic. I dined alone, but never once felt overlooked. The front of house team were warm, chatty, and engaging without being intrusive. Loulou is a real gem. Warm, confident, and somewhere I left already planning to return with friends. (Visited April 2024)

It's December 24th, and my partner made a mistake when booking a table at another French restaurant. Luckily, this one was very close, and we were able to enjoy our Christmas meal with delicious French cuisine just the way we like it: tournedos Rossini, rack of lamb, mille-feuille, and profiteroles... not forgetting our glasses of white wine with the starter and red with the main course. The meal went wonderfully well thanks to the professionalism of our very dedicated Jeff. I would like to thank him warmly for serving us as if we were close friends. Because during this festive season, even though it was our decision to go on holiday to another country, we still miss our families and friends a little. Thank you for this heartwarming gesture, and Merry Christmas.

I went there for a french lunch. Service was excellence. 1st order Pate en Croute. Minced Fioe Gracas, Kurobuta Pork Shoulder etc . Bake and freeze. A cold dish. Go well with those tiny sour cucumber. 2nd order was Seafood Mix Gill. Monkfish,Prawns, Squid and Octopus. The Monkfish taste like COD. I don't know why some people say it taste like lobster. All the seafood was gilled at the right temperature, so is tender and able to bring out the favor. It go well with the Prawn taste Bisque Sauce. The French Pilaf rice taste like Bangladesh Rice. 3rd order Parisian Custard Tart. Soft inside and Crispy outside. Not too sweet. Good for after meal. The waiter recommended me Flat coffee. Thick foam topping with many heart design. Taste good. Overall good experience lunching here.

My friend had made a booking under a name I wasn't aware of, and I'd arrived earlier. The Filipino service guy simply dismissed me and said "maybe you don't have a booking then" but thankfully I spotted my friend's number on his screen. I was told I could choose any of the 2-seaters. One was in the middle of the restaurant but seemed too close for comfort with the 4-seater next to it so I simply asked if it is reserved (if it's occupied I wouldn't want to sit there because it would be too close to strangers), and the guy immediately say, "the restaurant is fully booked." My friend arrived and we ordered quite a bit of food, and then suddenly the guy said we could move there (the 4-seater) if we ordered some wine. I declined as I was on antibiotics. He said we could move, as the table is available now. I declined again saying we're comfortable where we are. Then he explained the plates might be too big for the table we're at, and we moved. Why lie that the restaurant is fully booked then? We were there until almost closing and there were so many empty tables. I wasn't even after that big table. Food wise: Oysters are fresh. Interesting escargots cooked in a pastry though it was more mushrooms than escargots. Loved the tuna tartare! The ribeye sadly was really tough but we just soldiered through it. (Someone returned the monkfish saying it was too tough.) Hoping for sincere service! Then this place will be pretty nice for a simple dinner. Quite value for money as well - the bill was much smaller than I expected.

The ambiance is lovely — warm, cosy, and very pleasant for a relaxed meal. Service was fine and the overall setting makes it an enjoyable place to spend time. However, the food was just okay. The pork chop was noticeably on the salty side, and the sea bass was also quite salty, which took away from the enjoyment of the dishes. While the presentation was decent, the flavors didn’t quite match the quality of the environment. A nice spot for the atmosphere, but I do feel the food could be better to truly live up to the experience.

To start, if I could give more stars I would, I normally dont leave reviews which you can tell from my review count but this establishment deserves an absolute stellar review. From the drinks, to the food, to the service, everything makes you feel like you're the main event. The food has been absolutely incredible, we had the camambert with fig and honey, alongside the beef tartare with bone marrow and it was absolutely divine. We're not even onto mains yet and I couldnt wait to write the review. Please visit if you get a chance!! If you get the priviledge of having Dexter make you a cocktail, I couldnt recommend the Singapore Sling more, if im ever in the Sahara looking to quench my thirst with a drink, I wont be hallucinating about water, it would be this Singapore Sling!

From the moment we arrived, Loulou impressed us tremendously . Jeff the staff warmly greeted us at the entrance and even offered to take a photo of me and my spouse, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. The food and service were nothing short of sublime. Standout dishes included the escargot, Bouillabaisse, and grilled octopus. The escargot were prepared in a unique way (I won’t spoil the surprise), the Bouillabaisse was rich and deeply flavorful, and the grilled octopus was incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. Every element of the evening felt intentional and refined. An exceptional dining experience — I can’t wait to return.

A quiet lunch at a restaurant that is normally really crowded and vibing at nights. 3 lunch set options at $28, $34 and $40. The better half and I opted for the $34 set as it had dishes we personally liked. We had the: - 1/2 dozen Fine de Claire oysters on the rocks - Sun-dried tomatoes & mini mozzarella pesto salad - Tuna tartare - Grilled tiger prawns - Grilled pork secreto Every dish was well-prepared. Service was exceptional - water topped up quickly, attention was immaculate. Superb value for money. Will return definitely! And thanks to Jeff and his wait staff for the hospitality.
