I was worried about being disappointed when I went to restaurants recommended on an app, but they were all surprisingly good! The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and having dinner there was a really nice experience. The staff were also very friendly and provided excellent service. The food was great too; the miso salmon soba was unexpectedly delicious, and the soba sauce was very unique. It's just a pity I don't like rare salmon 🥲, but I still thought it was very good! I also ordered a steak, and even though I'm not a steak fan, I thought it was excellent. The sauce was very flavorful, and the steak was cooked to perfection. I rarely write reviews, so this was truly exceptional!!

Magnificent meal. The prawns were so fresh that I could almost hear them singing "under the sea". They were not kidding when they said it was shrimply the best. It was seariously one with the sea, I would come back just for this. Like do you see how the stock looks???? The Mongolian lamb chops were done so well (although a lil fatty, but I still gobbled it up). Inside was medium rare and was so so tender, that I swear I almost started bahhhhhing aft having a bite. Dessert was pretty good, but the mains was where it was at. Only comment is their non-alcoholic drink have limited options, but with the mains so good , I am already drunk on them.Special mention to the sides, marvellous, and I would definitely come back here again. One of my best meals in 2026.

I had passed by this spot a few times and was always intrigued by its name, so I finally decided to visit on a weekday with a group of colleagues for lunch. We immediately loved the quiet vibes and the old-world charm aesthetic of the space. Though the restaurant was very quiet with only one other table occupied, the service staff definitely deserve a shout-out. The staff member who served us was incredibly welcoming and patient with our queries. He was highly accommodating, even allowing us to order an appetiser that is usually reserved for the evening menu. Following his recommendation, we went with the Sautee Garlic Prawns, which he shared had been sourced fresh from the port that very morning. He was spot on. I have not had such fresh and perfectly cooked prawns for a long time, and the caramelised garlic was beyond words. For the mains, the menu features Western dishes with a creative Asian twist, and every item looks interesting. Each of us went for a different pasta dish. I ordered the Mala Prawn Fettuccine, which was generously loaded with fresh prawns and delivered a fiery kick. I also got to try a little of my colleague’s Kyoto Seafood Spaghetti and really liked the rich umami notes of the sauce. What a great find, we are definitely coming back!

Time flies, it's only when the owner reminded me that I noticed I have already been here 27 times, and I have followed this place from Farrer Park to Maxwell, adding some photos from my visit today and some of my previous visits. This place is my go-to for any occasion, and I have brought many of my friends there before, for simple reason - food prepared by veteran hotel chef that never ever disappoints with value-for-money serving size and wonderful ambience. Chef Fred has always been humble and remembers his patron's preference, for me was since the 2nd time I went. The owner Joe has been going to the port for his 4am prawns that are so succulent and fresh. This is a place I have always felt comfortable like its 2nd home to me and will always go back.

This small Singaporean spot blends Italian and local flavors seamlessly. The salted egg prawns are a highlight—freshly prepared tiger prawns delivered just that morning, handled personally by the chef. Another standout is the Japanese eel with baked shredded potatoes, which are not the usual creamy mash but finely sliced and baked for layered texture. Each bite reflects the chef’s attention to detail and care for ingredients. The restaurant is not super spacious, early visits are ideal, and the overall experience is affordable—three dishes plus drinks come under 70 SGD. Subtle flavors linger longer than the meal itself.

Deserving of 5 stars. We were only here for light bites and dessert, having just had dinner elsewhere, but were impressed by the 2 items we ordered. The battered prawns in salted egg yolk aioli (sgd16) was amazing. Served piping hot. Sweet, salty, slightly crunchy breading exterior, juicy and fresh prawn meat. I ate first prawn without salted egg yolk sauce and it was already so good. Second prawn with the flavoursome egg yolk sauce, it isn't your usual cloying thick salted egg yolk that you need to drink copious amounts of water with. It was balanced and nuanced. Highly recommend. Apple crumble dessert (sgd14) was a couple of ingredients thrown together in a ramekin, but isn't something most of us can put together. There were caramelised apples, caramelised banana chunks, granola crumbs, spirit soaked raisins. Topped with fresh and sweet strawberries chunks, and berry compote. Enjoyable, but would have liked some thick or fresh cream, ice cream, or mascarpone cheese on it, to introduce some moisture to bring the rest of the dry ingredients together. Chill jazzy laid back background music played. Only one other group of patrons were dining alongside on a Wednesday evening at 8pm. Service was prompt, adequate, unobtrusive. Washroom on 2nd level, clean and decent. We'll be back to try the pastas which other reviewers have raved about.

The cute little restaurant serves fusion cuisine- western food with Asian twist. We had 3 mains, 3 teasers and 2 desserts. One of us is vegetarian, so most dishes ordered were for vegetarian. We really love the mushroom fritter and the ugly cheesecake! Ambiance was cozy and service crew did a great job! It was an enjoyable night celebrating my friends’ birthday. Will return again!

Visited Bone Apple Tea Bistro and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was great — cozy, intimate, and with only a few tables, it felt relaxed and comfortable, making it a nice spot to hang out and chat with friends. We tried a few dishes, and the standout for me was the seafood spaghetti, which was flavourful and well-balanced. The beef rigatoni was also good, with flavours reminiscent of Japanese curry, which made it interesting and comforting. Overall, the food was good, and the vibe makes this a great place for a casual meal or a long catch-up with friends. Would come back again.
