Had a really enjoyable lunch here with their 5 course dining experience. The space felt cosy and comfortable and the overall atmosphere was nice for a catch up meal. The set was nicely balanced and came with fresh oysters, a few smaller dishes and their special Tomo Bara Chirashi which was probably my favourite from the meal. Loved that the chirashi was served differently from the usual bowl style too. Overall a pleasant dining experience with good food and a nice riverside location at Clarke Quay.

The lovely array of sashimi in the Chirashi is tender, do not have the ‘heavy-seafood’ smell. Oysters, with a pinch of lemon and spicy sauce are umami. Chawanmushi egg is the melt in the mouth type, with the delicate Uni. Duck Fat Chips served as a good crunch for the meal. Kanpachi Goma’s rich filing is too umami! Virgin Mojito is sour with a light mint, while Lychee Blossom is cheerfully sweet. It has both indoors and outdoors seating by the Singapore River. In the indoors there are 2 private rooms suitable for 6-8 pax.

Had dinner at Tomo Tokyo and it was a very enjoyable night out. We ordered many different dishes to share, together with their happy hour drinks, and it was a great spot for both food and drinks by the river. The small plates and Japanese fusion dishes were flavourful and went well with the wine and beer, making it easy to just sit back, relax and enjoy the evening. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, with a nice waterfront vibe. Overall, a good place to come with friends for a variety of sharing plates and happy hour promos in Clarke Quay.
