The previous time I came here it was good and I thought I give it a try again. Ordered kaisen don, tempura ika and shisamo. Tempura Ika came first and I asked for wasabi. This gray hair server looked at me weirdly and said “tempura ika you don’t eat with wasabi one.” I said “but I want wasabi? Can it be done?” She turned around said “Okie, by right cannot one” What the heck is by right cannot? Damn outrageous. I ordered enough food with kaisen don, why I cannot have wasabi? Just because you are lazy to go get wasabi for me you want to question and dictate how I eat my food. When I go in to asked for a second serving of wasabi with another server, she happily gave me. Then I know it was just that gray hair lady being a bad mannered server. It’s because of your bad attitude at service you lose customers who genuinely want to eat the food serve by your chef.

Am happy with this resturant, overall, food's nice and fresh and environment is good except it is a bit hot but can't blame them as the aircon is from the building... The sashimi was fresh, even the cooked was nice - karage and grilled squid but can't say much abt the tempura, the inside was a bit moist, may be they didn't fry the batter long enough. Overall, still very happy with this resturant. There were 5 of us and we have lots of sashimi and a bottle of 720ml sake, total bill only $363!

First and last visit to this restaurant. Firstly, the lady staff who served us seemed unwilling to do her job, rude and wasn’t very welcoming, which made the dining experience unpleasant from the start. Secondly, we came specifically for the 9-type sashimi platter after seeing it on “bigjohnjiak”. We knew it required ordering beer to get the promotional price, but we thought one beer would be enough. Only then the staff told us then we know that that each person had to order a beer. Unfortunately, I don’t even drink beer, so that was disappointing. Lastly, we ordered the à la carte sashimi instead. The prawn wasn’t fresh and very fishy… and it took very long to serve us our food… there is only 3 tables of customers… Overall, the food and service did not meet our expectations & wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

this was the first time i had went to uouo after seeing a recommendation on tiktok. honestly, worst sushi place i’ve ever been to. this is the first time we didn’t finish our sashimi because it was so bad. 1. it was not fresh 2. it was not scaled and deboned properly service staff seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing, constantly looking confused. i had asked for 3 glasses of cold water, and had to ask 3 times before we got the water eventually. the staff also didn’t inform us that the water was chargeable. in addition, they double charged us for 6 glasses of tap water at the final bill at $2 each (there were only 3 people dining) the discounted price is not worth the disappointment… you will never catch me there again!

*4/5 stars* Good spot for premium fresh sashimi if you drink. We ordered alcohol and got the meal pricing — $39.90 for the sashimi platter of 9 fish. Decent deal, but not all cuts were premium. You don’t get a whole platter of top-tier fish, some pieces were just okay. They bring out the fresh catch of the day on Tues/Fri. We went on a Wed but they still showed us what they had — huge 15-inch shellfish and bamboo clams. We went with the shellfish sashimi at $49.90 and it was pretty cheap for how big it was. Other stuff we tried: - *Cabbage vegetable* — really nice, light and fresh. - *Sperm whale* — also really good. - *Oyster 10pc set $59.90* — a bit too creamy for my liking, but okay. Won’t call it amazing. Interesting bonus: they sell frozen seafood you can scan QR code to order online. Neat if you want to stock up at home. Only downside — *pre-order the uni*. It was sold out by 6pm when we arrived. Apparently you need to reserve it. Overall it’s pretty interesting and good value with alcohol. Not bad at all, I’d come back again. Just plan ahead for the uni.

1. Sashimi: everything is very fresh and in season We had Isaki, chutoro, Otoro, salmon, botan or Aka ebi, Kinmedai?, some kind of mackerel, shinko?, and an unidentified fish. All the meat is firm, sweet and clean tasting. The tuna and salmon are rich and fatty. Good knife skills. An excellent platter. 2. Grilled hokke (Atka mackerel): butterflied and grilled until skin is crispy. The meat is fatty and fragrant. The oil goes well with white rice. Well done. 3. Grilled hotate: huge scallop grilled to perfection with salt and butter. Wonderfully sweet and incredible texture. The juices from the scallope is delicious. 4. Tori karagge: juicy and crispy. But the outside batter tastes more like western style fried chicken than Japanese style karagge. Can't really taste the marination but still delicious. Wish they use actual kewpie mayo than some off brand mayo. 5. Yaki soba (not pictured): seafood izakaya style yakisoba. Stir fried with top shell clams and cabbage. The sauce is slightly tart. The noodles are overcooked and slightly soggy. Again should have used kewpie mayo instead of off brand mayo. 6. White rice (not pictured): I do not appreciate the rice. Not sure if it's Japanese short grain rice. It's dry and hard. Even Sukiya's rice is better than this. An authentic izakaya should have proper rice. 7. Drinks are cold and refreshing.

Saw online post and decided to come try. I did reservation online knowing it will be crowded as the post is up on social media. We got a seat and some walked customer was turn down due to no reservation.. ordered the sashimi platter and it took a while to come which is not that long. We ordered sake and cover change $4 comes with clam appetiser ( very yummy) . The sashimi was very fresh and thick cuts. This is really a place for drinkers. If you like to drink and enjoy good sashimi, is the place to come. They have other food but we were so full and couldn't order other cook food. We visit again and try other food. ( evening reservation is full till next month fyi)

Came here after seeing some online recommendations. The 9 types sashimi platter was generous and fresh. Mostly thick cut. I like the way they serve the platter with the remaining parts of the fish. Can see that it's fresh! Some one commented about the $4 per pax beer starters. In Japan it's common in izakayas and here they do tell you up front. And rather than serve you simple appetizer, today I had marinated clams and again very generous in the serving. Also regarding the small fish sashimi that has small bones, you can actually eat it with the small soft bones. It's very oily and fragrant, when it's fresh! The stir fried dishes were good as well. Lastly they serve Kirin! Which in my humble opinion taste alot better with food than the other popular beers! Say hi to the affable Jap boss who speaks fluent Chinese.
