I have been bringing my clients here to have lunch together for years. Usually I call restaurant first to reserve/book a table. What I like is the set meals they provide for easy ordering of each person, and different set meals to cater to each person’s appetite. For this time round I got Salmon Nigiri set meal, which may not look much but I was still full afterwards. Kudos to the staff for constantly refilling our hot/iced green tea 😁

⭐ 1/5 Stars – Rude, inflexible service The restaurant was more than half empty, yet we were bluntly told we could not take the sofa seats just because there were only two of us. The staff’s reply was impolite and completely inflexible, with no proper explanation given. It makes no sense to keep seats empty for unknown guests while turning away paying customers right in front of you. Since it felt like they clearly did not want us as customers, we left immediately. We will not be returning.

Price vs. Quality: Having visited in the past, the standards have fallen noticeably. A bill totaling $661 did not align with the mediocre quality of the meal. Amongst the dishes, ika yaki was so tough and hard to chew. The dishes left us very thirsty afterwards. Will not return.

The food variety and taste was really good but service can still improve especially for 1 staff who hide her badge and perform badly. Sakai san is very friendly though. The atmosphere is good and spacious with moderate noise.

I’ve been coming to Tomi Sushi for years and have always enjoyed the food, so it’s very disappointing to leave this review after the way we were treated last Saturday. We arrived at around 6:45pm and queued for a table like everyone else. A staff member came out to ask each group how many people they had. When it was our turn, I told her we were 7 people — 5 adults and 2 children. Her first response was that there was no space for our stroller. I said that was fine and asked if we could have one baby chair instead. She said no, and told me that I would have to carry my baby, otherwise we would have to “wait long long.” Trying to accommodate the restaurant, I then said we were happy to split into two tables and did not need to sit together. Again, the answer was simply no, because she had second-round reservations coming in. She then moved on and continued taking the number of people from the customers behind us in the queue. What I found particularly frustrating was that there seemed to be no attempt to find a solution or even explain what our options were. Everything I suggested was immediately dismissed, while the customers behind us continued to be considered for tables. It left me wondering whether she was simply telling us, indirectly, that we should go somewhere else. And in the end, that is exactly what we did. I completely understand that restaurants can be busy, understaffed, or have limited seating, especially on a Saturday evening. But there is a respectful and professional way to communicate this to customers. After being a customer here for years, I was genuinely surprised by the dismissive attitude and the way the situation was handled. Unfortunately, this experience has really changed how I feel about Tomi Sushi, and I don’t see myself returning after this.

Randomly walk to Tomi Sushi for dinner.. unexpected goodness.. price wise i think slightly on the high side but quality of food justified it. Had the cold udon., oh my the texture so good the right kind of chewiness and i paired w a tonkatsu.. again the texture of meat juiciness couldnt be better.. sushi i cant say as i dont eat raw.. but looking at the colour i can tell is good stuff. Will be back again. Totally recommended! Oishiii

A friend and I came here for sake and Sushi. They were both great. We selected the house recommended sake which has a +2 alcohol level. It was a very nice, mellow sake that was light and a good balance and bittersweet. Sushi was very fresh! Service staff were also very good. Very attentive and friendly. Overall we had a good experience.
