it's the member day, which expected long Q and busy crowd i came in around 5pm, most probably it’s still early for crowd, enjoy the nice sushi by myself; there is a guy server very friendly, keeping himself busy with all customers request, and answering our question, which is or which is not part of the promo. i find it is alright, just when the time i am seating in , the choices are mostly salmon , salmon and salmon, be it sashimi, grill or other form😂. But due to not really bad crowd, the team are not really that strict with the 40mins dine in rules, allowed me to try more n more item. i do appreciate the gesture, considering it is a promo period, allowing customer to enjoy a proper nice meal is really an experience that stays. Lastly, the cashier is a sweet lady with specs, love her smile, i indeed had very much enjoy the member day😊

It was our first time here, and we had to figure out how everything worked. A brief explanation from the staff would have been helpful. The selection wasn't particularly extensive, but what we did try was tasty. A big plus is that you don't have to wait for your food; this was especially convenient for us since we were short on time. As a one-time experience, it was okay, but we probably wouldn't come back.

I usually don't ever write bad reviews but the service provided here at 8.30pm on 23rd May was quite disappointing. There were empty tables but apparently they stopped sitting people there and the people in the queue with us were equally puzzled because wouldn't you prioritise sitting your customers first? There was also a lack of manpower so the remaining tables were being cleaned by only 1 guy. We waited for a total of 30min (with empty tables) together with a few others and there was no sign of the staff acknowledging our presence nor giving us a heads up about the situation. It was so bad that the people behind us went directly into the restaurant to ask what was going on. When we were finally given a seat, the place smelt so bad + the covers on the sushi were so dirty and cloudy(?). No staff came to give cups/explain anything to us even though we waited for them. The remaining plates of food on the table looked unhygenic so we eventually left without eating. That being said, this could be a one-off incident and I hope the service will improve from here on with some proper training.

I’ve been coming to Sushi Express for about a year now and it has become my go-to sushi spot. I probably eat here three times a week, sometimes alone while waiting for my dad to finish work and pick me up, and sometimes with my best friend. My usual order is the salmon sashimi and the salmon mentai hanamaki, and the quality is always consistent, fresh, delicious, and super affordable. For a casual sushi place, the freshness really impresses me every time. What really makes this outlet special though is the staff. Rick the manage is especially amazing, always so friendly, attentive, and hands-on with customers. Teddy karpoh and Steven are also fantastic super friendly and makes the best fresh food, they often already have my hanamaki and usual orders prepared the moment I walk in, which makes me feel incredibly welcomed every time I visit. As someone who occasionally does food reviews and posts on social media, I’ve tried quite a lot of places, but this has genuinely become my favourite casual sushi spot. The service, consistency, and welcoming atmosphere keep me coming back again and again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good, affordable sushi with wonderful staff. 🍣

Ever wanted sushi without having to flip through a long, confusing menu, or just need a quick, no-frills bite? Sushi Express is perfect for that. Once seated, there’s already a good variety of sushi passing by while you help yourself to complimentary Japanese tea. Wasabi sachets are conveniently available on the conveyor belt too. They’re currently running a festive menu, and the citrus aburi salmon really stood out. It comes with a generous, long slice of salmon that’s lightly seared for a nice smoky aroma, topped with a small caramelised orange segment. The result is a great balance of sweet, sour, and savoury flavours, nicely rounded off by the rice. It’s apparently limited during the CNY promo period, but honestly, this deserves to be a permanent item — easily one of the best $2 aburi salmon sushi you can get. Overall, the rest of the items offer very good value for money, with freshness and authenticity that’s noticeably better than supermarket sushi chains.

Today just now I am extremely disappointed with the service at Sushi Express, Parkway Parade B1. I work in the building upstairs and visit this outlet quite often. In fact, my past experiences have generally been fine, and most of the staff are usually polite and professional. That is exactly why today’s experience was especially disappointing. When I entered the restaurant, I politely asked for a corner seat and was already met with an unfriendly tone. After being seated for about 5–6 minutes, I requested a sweet sauce, which is a very basic request. To my shock, the staff said in Chinese, “Wow, what a hassle,” right in front of me, clearly referring to me. I was completely stunned. Making such a remark about a customer, especially saying it directly in front of them is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful!! This behavior is unacceptable in any service environment and does not reflect the standard I have come to expect from this outlet. I hope management will take this feedback seriously. This is not about the brand as a The issue isn't about the whole restaurant, but about the attitude of a specific staff member. Proper service training is clearly needed. I was extremely disappointed with the service at Sushi Express on Parkway Parade today. I work in this building and frequently dine at this branch. Frankly, most employees are usually quite friendly, which is why today's experience was so disappointing. When I politely asked if I could sit in a corner, the staff member's tone was already unfriendly. About 5-6 minutes after sitting down, I simply asked for a sweet sauce—a very basic request—and the employee actually said in Chinese, "Wow, this is so troublesome," right in front of me. What was they thinking? Were they taking their work frustrations out on me? I was truly shocked. Complaining about or showing disdain for customers in front of them, regardless of the situation, is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. This attitude is completely unacceptable for a chain restaurant brand. I hope management will take this feedback seriously. This isn't about the entire brand, but rather the attitude of a specific employee, and they definitely need to strengthen their service and communication training. Although I know my complaint will not get any response, I probably won't be visiting your store again.
