I am extremely disappointed with my recent dining experience. Firstly, the portion size of the salmon sashimi on the black plates has become noticeably smaller. Considering that each black plate costs over S$1 per piece, the salmon slices are now so small that some pieces are not even larger than my thumb. I clearly remember dining here in November last year, and the portion size was significantly better. The reduction in size is very obvious and feels unreasonable given the price. Secondly, the service was highly disruptive despite the staff being efficient. While I appreciate that the staff respond quickly when customers request items, they were constantly clearing items from my table while I was still eating. For example, whenever I removed a sushi cover from a plate, a staff member would immediately take the cover away. I understand that the covers are supposed to be returned onto the conveyor system, but I was intentionally keeping them with me while waiting for the cover-return conveyor to come around. Before I even had the opportunity to return them myself, staff repeatedly approached my table and removed them. This happened throughout the meal and constantly interrupted my dining experience. In addition, some items served on the white plates come with a small dish placed inside the plate. Staff repeatedly removed these small dishes even though I was still using them. I genuinely do not understand why items are being cleared away before customers have finished using them. Surely it would be more appropriate to wait until customers have left or clearly indicated that they are finished. The constant clearing of covers, dishes, and other tableware became extremely frustrating. Staff came to the table so frequently that it felt like I was being rushed to finish my meal rather than being allowed to dine comfortably. Overall, the combination of shrinking portion sizes and the excessive, intrusive clearing of items made this one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I have had. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews both the food portions and service practices, as they are negatively affecting the customer experience. I have been a customer for quite some time, which is why this decline in both food quality and dining experience is particularly disappointing.

Came here to have a sushi fix. This was the first time we came to this branch. It was almost a full house but there were still a few seats available. There are some menus that need to be ordered through staff, like miso soup, chawanmushi, tempura etc. The rest we can pick from the sushi conveyor. There are three color plates in correspondence to their prices, ranging from $1.50++ to $3++. The tea uses tap system on the table, with utensils like chopstick and soy sauce. However, the wasabi and ginger are on conveyor belt, which is inconvinient. I like ginger but had to wait for one or sometimes two rounds to get it. And the ridiculous thing is the spoon. There are on the conveyor belt as well! We waited for a long time to eat a puding and settled to reuse a spoon after my chawanmushi arrived. Seriously though, why the spoons have to be on the conveyor ride? The conveyor also has many desserts that belong to the fridge. I don’t want limp mille crepes and unappetizing looking cake. The taste, some were good, but some were disappointing. The chawanmushi was pretty good, I had two servings (it uses shallow bowl and mostly because there were not many other varieties that I like). I am a fan of classic ebi sushi but all it has is the semi transparent crunchy ebi that tastes like those abomination frozen prawn that dominate Singapore food now. This is very dissapointing because that is my main to go when eating sushi. The salmon is good, ebiko, tofu, tamagoyaki are okay. The spicy mushroom in the bowl, not sure what is the name, is good. The jellyfish taste is standard, however, the eating experience is borderline repulsive. It was frigging long! Because of that it was hard to chew and slimy to swallow. The lack of variety of other basic sushi like kappa maki to clean the palate, endamame, yasai tempura, is dissapointing. Another thing to note, the size of the sushi is almost half of the normal sushi I eat elsewhere. The price became not cheap plus the high ++. Based on those reasons, I won’t be back anytime soon.

Crowded and Q expected during meal hours. Located at Level 2 of Sembawang Sun Plaza. Surprisingly quality isn't bad. Service is prompt. Price of food item starts from $1.50++. Before heading to cashier, do let the staff count/verify the color plates first, for ur final bill. Washroomand carpark available on site.

Walked past the outlet on 17/06/26 around 3:45 PM and glanced inside to see if I wanted to eat here. The chinese female staff (older, plus sized) member at the counter area made eye contact with me and just stared without any greeting or smile. It felt unwelcoming and hostile, like I was inconveniencing her just by looking into the store. She was the only staff outside and there were very few customers. Still, I decided not to enter and took my business elsewhere. Please train your front counter store staff to acknowledge potential customers with a simple 'hello' or a smile—it would make a huge difference.

The service was okay—staff were polite and greeted us. However, I spent $22 on my meal, enjoyed every piece of sushi, salmon bites, and the mayo provided. When I got to my last sushi, I noticed that one of the mayo portions had a strand of dark black hair, half an index finger long. I didn’t manage to take a photo—probably for the better, as it would have completely ruined anyone’s appetite. I felt disgusted, and even more so afterward. What made it worse was that I wasn’t compensated at all—I essentially paid $22 to consume mayo contaminated with hair. I was appalled that the staff simply took the mayo away without informing a manager or making any effort to rectify the situation or improve my dining experience. As a business owner myself, I would never handle service recovery this way.

I was very impressed by one of the staff members, who appeared to be the most senior, yet was the most efficient and effective among the team (Mr. D). From arranging seats, taking orders, clearing tables, to wiping them down, he handled everything seamlessly from start to finish. Despite his age, he was extremely quick, efficient, and meticulous. I would give him 5-star service, even though he only attended to us once or twice. The food here was fresh and well-prepared. Hot dishes were served hot, and cold items were kept properly chilled. The quality control was excellent. I especially enjoyed the 5-in-1 sashimi platter and the mussels topped with mentaiko sauce.

Many items are not on the track, need to call busy staff for order. I came for the beef sushi, but on an early 6pm Saturday they say it’s out of stock… I ordered unagi sushi and waited 15 mins for it to be served. (Rushed 3 times) the food tastes ok, but the service and operation management is horrible. The piles of plates also another issue. A customer’s pile of 8 plates just slipped towards me and food spilled everywhere…!!! The customer was clumsy, but isn’t the operation’s fault as well? For the plates to pile up so high without proper area to store the plates.
