Hakata Japanese Restaurant

Interesting find. Udon is surprisingly good. My 4 years old loved the tempur. And the udon. It's so good she can eat on her own and don't need me to feed her. She says 5 stars for this restaurant. The environment is good and she says she feels like she is having a holiday.

Our regular lunch spot for a decent Japanese meal as it is nearby our office. Great option for a business lunch meeting. Good Japanese food with very reasonable price, especially the set meal. Ingredients are always fresh and the food are flavourful. Although not top-notch, but certainly way above your average Japanese chains found in your heartland malls. All food are well-treated and prepared fresh in their kitchen, not from some central kitchens. Service is also very good. Quick, attentive and warmth. Parking is easy. Highly recommended!

The food was good, but the service was a bit slow, probably because it was busy or peak hours. A lot of items were sold out, and I only found out after I ordered. The place is a bit small.

Homely food, soba is nice and tempura is nicely fried and not oily. Taste is light and not salty. Grilled chicken skin was good and crispy but will be even better with abit of sauce. Throughout the meal, there was loud Chinese tv voices blasting near the kitchen so I have to minus stars for ambience. Pity

I come here with family on Sundays for special occasions. Very unpretentious. Simple good food.

This will be my first and last dining experience here. The staff made us feel rushed throughout our dining time and gave the impression that we were being chased out even though we were still eating. This was especially disappointing as we were there for a birthday celebration and had even prepared a cake, but we were unable to properly celebrate at the restaurant due to the way we were rushed. In addition, the dining duration should be clearly advised during check-in at the restaurant so customers are aware from the beginning. This kind of service is unacceptable and made the entire experience very unpleasant. The restaurant should seriously improve its service attitude and how customers are treated during dining.

Never know Hakata Japanese Restaurant is allowed us to customise (x4 Blue Fin “Otoro”, x2 Salmon belly, x2 hamachi & sea urchin) based on own preference. Ordered for 3 pax, each $80 (included GST+Service Charge)

Thought I try this place if it tastes anything like ramen I find in hakata. I had the bifu ramen. Noodle was just nice like how I liked it. Soup not too salty but tasty. Good value for money. The charsiu was nice too.
