Sukiya

Went down to try their in-store exclusive hotpot. The staff was kind enough to explain the portions are SOP. But the portion of soup is abit ridiculous. The food was served with so little soup, that my ingredients were sitting above the soup line. That barely leaves any option for me to enjoy the broth, or heat up my ingredients. The staff were patient and kind, and understood my concerns, but were unable to do anything about it. It's unfortunate. I would not recommend trying their special items, it just is not worth it.

One of my favourite outlets very spacious lots of seatings than the rest of the Sukiya, fast service you can eat at ease without having to squeeze. Dinner crowd sets at 6pm 🕕 + so be sure to grab good seats.

Had the ND chili crab gyudon. It was too spicy for me. It does not have the sweetness of the normal chili crab.

had the yakinuku beef kimchi bowl (upsized) with a side of chicken yakotori. the taste wasn’t all that good, it was pretty bland, and meat portion was little despite the upsize, and the beef was mainly fats and barely any meat. the chicken yakitori was quite bland as well. pretty disappointing food. the service was very prompt though and food arrived within two minutes of ordering.

Been here a couple of times. Service is always fast and efficient. This outlet serves free tea as well. The $5.90 breakfast set is so value for money. The place is usually quite empty if you come at off peak times like early breakfast-lunch or dinner. But why they always break my egg 🥲

food is tasty, but meat portion has been shrinking over the past year 🥲 will still come tho cos halal options in the area are very limited.

the portion (of meat) has been becoming smaller and smaller and it’s very apparent because i visit on a weekly basis… shrinkflation is real
