One of the reliable spots for tempura don in the area—crispy, consistent batter and fluffy Japanese rice every time. Each table comes with free-flow soy sauce and chilli powder so you can tweak the bowl to your liking. My personal ritual: adding a tempura tamago, drenching it with soy sauce, and letting the yolk run over the rice. Honestly, I could just eat that on repeat. Hungry and craving something heavier? Go for the premium option. Want something lighter to leave room for dessert or a second stop? The vegetable don is a good choice. SOP has changed a little—you now order via QR code at the table and pay at the counter (used to be order-and-pay at the screen first). I do miss the days of unlimited tempura crumbs, though; they were the perfect topping. But I guess tweaks like these come down to customer habits.

What I enjoy about their tempura is that it doesn’t leave you with the guilt or discomfort that usually comes after eating a large, oily meal, because the batter is so light. Their sauce is delicious and you can always add more by yourself. Sad to see this branch is closing in a few days.

Japanese fast food restaurant. Use QR quote order and pay first before food is served. Tempura set is good. Hot udon is very good, cold soba al dente. Fried chicken wings delicious. Ordered tea and have to self help at dispenser counter.

The food was good. Service was a little lacking though. Probably due to a busy weekend. Tendons were great. Cha Soba had a good texture. Would come by again or try other tenya outlets. A far cry from Japan branches tho

I order a soba and chicken don set . Omg my don came like grandma porridge. Don’t know is it normal . If u like wet wet rice then good for u . Not me ! And the watery sauce is salty and sweet at the same time .

Food is pretty average when I compare to kohaku or makino. The fried batter is crispy but that's about it. Surprisingly the fried chicken wings were good. Good for a quick tendon fix though.

Be aware they have decided to serve only peak-hour patrons. Yet to update their gmaps opening hours as well so be careful of wasting your time.
