Yakiniku Like

This is the first time in my life where I’ve had to leave a food establishment without paying, and it infuriates me as I am a non-confrontational person by nature. I was here on 10th August, Monday, around 1.35-1.50pm. The Like Original BBQ Sauce was not available. This was not made known to me. I saw the notice, which stated that ALL sauces were available, upon request. To clarify, it wasn’t just unavailable as a sauce topping. The meats, when served, had no sauce on them as well. If you’ve had Yakiniku Like before, you would know that the Original Like sauce is served together with the meat as a marinade. I requested for the original sauce and was told it was not available. (Was provided the lemon and miso sauces) After eating the plain meats, I could not accept the lack of a soy marinade which made the food very unpalatable (if I paid money to eat plain meats I might as well cook myself or dine somewhere else) and told the staff that I could not accept this, and would be leaving without paying (I had not touched even 10% of my food) What ensued was the guy (who told me he was the manager) telling me that the notice was already put up, to my dismay, because clearly the staff does not understand the meaning of what was on the notice. He told me that there was a shipment delay, which I don’t think is of my concern. I was told to pay since I had already touched the meats / it was served. Some back and forth ensued before the guy relented. I just cannot understand why I would be made to pay for something that isn’t a complete product. Some suggestions: a) If it was made known at the start, that the original sauce was not available, I wouldn’t have dined there. b) I trusted the notice that said all sauces would be available upon request. The notice can be simply updated to reflect that that is not the case. c) Please take some accountability/responsibility instead of asking your staff to masquerade as a manager when they are not around. I was fine speaking to a manager about this. Else, if the person I spoke to was truly a manager, I think it’s a gone case and some reconsideration may be required. d) With the number of outlets in Singapore, your sauce can be rationed. How can you serve your meats without any marinade when it is the mainstay? Is there no shame whatsoever in serving an incomplete product? I have had Yakiniku Like many times and I was very disappointed by this visit. It was a waste of my time as I had to go somewhere else to get lunch.

Service damn meh even restaurant almost empty! What pissed me off is this is the first time i ever came across a restaurant that do not allow me to charge my phone while eating instead asking me to download and borrow their portable charger with free 1 hour (paid charging after that) whats the difference? I dont even spend more then 1 hour eating there. Why would i do that when i paid gst & service charge for dining out? I will not come back here! Will go to Yakiniku go instead my usual Yakiniku spot!

Bumped into this place inside clementi mall. Fantastic food and generous portions, we had a set bbq menu and the meat was delicious.

Regarding the food, the quality of the meat is consistent with the price point; it is advisable not to have high expectations, but the portions are sufficient to ensure you leave feeling full. This establishment seems particularly well-suited for hungry students looking for a substantial, filling meal. One point to note is the service charge, which felt somewhat high relative to the level of service provided. Aside from the basic delivery of dishes to the table, there were no notable service interactions or extra hospitality during the visit. In summary, it is a practical choice for those prioritizing quantity over premium quality in a casual environment. If you are looking to satisfy a large appetite on a budget, this location fits that need, provided you account for the additional fees.

I have been a loyal patron of Yakiniku Like, until today’s visit that I found that they are limiting choices and supply of the BBQ sauce to dine in customers. What a joke! What’s yakiniku without sauce?

We had our first time dining at this outlet. Since we arrived quite early from the dinner service, we didn’t have to queue much. The meat and side dishes are a great selection, and the meat is incredibly tender. The staff is also very attentive and lives up to their 3-minute rule of service. A special shoutout to Ms. Nini and the rest of the staff for their exceptional service.

first visit, nice experience. went early before 6pm for dinner, not much queue. crowd came in after dinner. ingriedent fresh, portion average. ownself cook using condiments by the side, important point everything works. furnishing is simple, useable for its purpose. staff overwhelmed but still friendly and helpful.

Weekday Monday night. Been 20 minutes and the raw food is not even here yet. Staff were overwhelmed. Only one auntie knew what she was doing and the rest just stand around clueless. Please train your staff better and change your service timing.
