Yakinikutei Ao-Chan

After living here for eight years, I finally got the chance to visit the famous Yakiniku Ao-chan, a place every Japanese person is said to have visited at least once. It’s a yakiniku restaurant that’s “ordinary” in a very good way. The atmosphere feels like a cozy, community-based BBQ place you’d find in the Japanese countryside. The meat and a la carte dishes aren’t extraordinarily amazing, but they’re simply delicious. In Singapore, having good yakiniku and drinks usually costs around 200 dollars per person, but here it’s only about 80 dollars, which is very reasonable. The staff’s service was also excellent. I’ll definitely come again—thank you!

I've lived in Singapore for a long time, but this was my first visit. I was very satisfied with the taste, portion size, and everything else. Among the many yakiniku restaurants in Singapore, this is definitely a Japanese yakiniku restaurant I can recommend.

Better than I thought! Very authentic, one of best Japanese BBQ I had in town. $188 for two people, we order three plates of meats, rice ball, salad, soup, two ice creams, and vegetables. Will bring my mom to here again.

Food was decent. Love the vibes here although it is a self service cooking. Able to accommodate up to 8 pax a private room.

It's affordable and incredibly delicious! It doesn't leave you feeling bloated! The yukhoe and the lean yukhoe are both delicious ❤️ The skirt steak is also amazing 🩷 I always finish off my meal with yukhoe bibimbap 🩷

This is a yakiniku restaurant that serves yakiniku of a quality very close to the Japanese style. The prices are not too high for Singapore, and the yakiniku is very delicious!

Came here on sat evening for dinner. To be seated in a room, a min spending is required. The meat is fresh and tasty. An enjoyable experience and dinner. Cost abt $50 per pax
