Yakinikutei Ao-Chan

13th Sept 2026 dinner. Back here for dinner since my gf has craving. Had different types of beef, garlic fried rice and shiso rice. I liked the garlic fried rice as it had strong garlic aroma and taste. Would try another cut of the beef as one of them not up to my standard, maybe it was my cooking. Overall good experience again. Verdict for food: 4/5. Total damage for 2 persons: $122.80 (inclusive of service and taxes).

used to be really hard to get a reservation but managed to get a table!!! i like the prime gyu tan which is not tough and chewy! the prime karubi is decent but the wagyu one is definitely meltier the beef tartare is very fresh no complaints garlic rice is also my must order but i recall there used to be more smokiness the $5 small ramen damn worth it... actually pretty good

After living here for eight years, I finally got the chance to visit the famous Yakiniku Ao-chan, a place every Japanese person is said to have visited at least once. It’s a yakiniku restaurant that’s “ordinary” in a very good way. The atmosphere feels like a cozy, community-based BBQ place you’d find in the Japanese countryside. The meat and a la carte dishes aren’t extraordinarily amazing, but they’re simply delicious. In Singapore, having good yakiniku and drinks usually costs around 200 dollars per person, but here it’s only about 80 dollars, which is very reasonable. The staff’s service was also excellent. I’ll definitely come again—thank you!

I've lived in Singapore for a long time, but this was my first visit. I was very satisfied with the taste, portion size, and everything else. Among the many yakiniku restaurants in Singapore, this is definitely a Japanese yakiniku restaurant I can recommend.

Better than I thought! Very authentic, one of best Japanese BBQ I had in town. $188 for two people, we order three plates of meats, rice ball, salad, soup, two ice creams, and vegetables. Will bring my mom to here again.

It's affordable and incredibly delicious! It doesn't leave you feeling bloated! The yukhoe and the lean yukhoe are both delicious ❤️ The skirt steak is also amazing 🩷 I always finish off my meal with yukhoe bibimbap 🩷

This is a yakiniku restaurant that serves yakiniku of a quality very close to the Japanese style. The prices are not too high for Singapore, and the yakiniku is very delicious!

Came here on sat evening for dinner. To be seated in a room, a min spending is required. The meat is fresh and tasty. An enjoyable experience and dinner. Cost abt $50 per pax
