I had a very enjoyable dining experience at this restaurant and would definitely consider coming back in the future. The restaurant is located inside the casino complex, but it was surprisingly easy to find because there are clear signs and directions throughout the mall. Even for first-time visitors, locating the restaurant should not be a problem. One thing I appreciated is that although the restaurant is associated with the casino area, there is a separate entrance available. Guests do not necessarily need to walk through the casino to reach the restaurant, which makes the environment feel more accessible and comfortable for families, couples, or people who simply want to enjoy a meal without entering the gaming area. The overall atmosphere is elegant, upscale, and well-designed. The interior feels luxurious without being overly formal. The dining space was relatively quiet during our visit, which created a calm and relaxing environment. At the same time, it did not feel awkwardly silent, and conversations at the table were still comfortable and enjoyable. I think it would be suitable for casual meals, business meetings, or special occasions. Regarding the food, every dish we ordered was delicious and seemed carefully prepared. You can notice attention to detail in both presentation and flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, the seasoning was balanced, and the cooking showed consistency. It gave the impression that the kitchen puts effort into maintaining quality rather than simply serving food quickly. I was also impressed by the service. One staff member appeared to be taking care of several tables at once, but the level of professionalism remained good throughout the meal. Orders were handled efficiently, staff remained polite, and the service never felt rushed or careless despite being busy. Maintaining that level of attentiveness while serving multiple tables deserves recognition. Overall, this restaurant offers a combination of good food, professional service, a comfortable atmosphere, and a convenient location. It was a pleasant experience, and I understand why people may choose to return. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter dining experience with quality food inside the casino complex.

An absolutely exceptional experience at Waku Ghin. I’m genuinely surprised this restaurant isn’t consistently ranked as Singapore’s best — it truly deserves to be. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of extraordinary. Puvi and Tristan went above and beyond, making my fiancé’s birthday incredibly special and memorable. It was, without a doubt, the best service we have ever experienced at any restaurant. Every detail of the evening was flawless — the food, the presentation, the atmosphere — all 10/10. Having dined at renowned venues such as Odette, CUT and Labyrinth, we can confidently say Waku Ghin surpasses them all. Photos simply don’t do it justice. As true food lovers who appreciate exceptional cuisine and cocktails, we were completely blown away. The level of service here is, in our opinion, unmatched anywhere in Singapore. If you’re visiting, this is an absolute must — put it at the very top of your list. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a phenomenal evening.

Attentive and polite, Kimi made us felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout our dinner. He remembers our preferences and ensures that we are well taken care of. The place was well decorated and the food was excellent. Kimi was detailed in explaining the food that was in front of us. He was also very careful in ensuring that we had good angle of the food for taking photographs. We walked away with a satisfied tummy and an unforgettable experience. Perfect way to celebrate birthday! Thank you, Kimi!

Good food, but shockingly rude service. I prepaid for Waku Ghin’s signature matcha opera cake when I dined at the restaurant with my family last week. I picked it up a day late due to a medical emergency. I arrived at Waku Ghin around 3pm yesterday (10/30). The receptionist (a Filipina woman, I believe her name is April) was openly hostile – no greeting, just an aggressive lecture about how she was “going to throw the cake away” and that I wouldn’t get a refund. I told her I had a medical emergency the day before, but she continued to rant that she was going to throw away the cake. Maybe she was having a bad day, but she should not be lashing out at a customer. For a one-Michelin-star restaurant, this type of behavior is unacceptable and extremely inappropriate. It’s a shame because my family and I do enjoy the food at Waku Ghin, but this encounter left such a poor taste that it will be hard for us to return.

Precision in finding each ingredient’s peak lets temperature and texture contrasts stretch the finish beautifully. From sashimi and shellfish to wagyu, aromas rise cleanly, then settle into a quiet, spreading savor. Counter choreography is tea-room precise—few words, warm gestures. The pairing program ranges widely across wine and sake, shifting between verticals of aroma and horizontal lines of umami to bring each course into focus. Dishes carry serious density without weight, where tension and comfort coexist. Discreet, disciplined service protects the rhythm and quietly heightens the sense of occasion. It becomes the kind of night you want to carry with you, the aftertaste walking alongside. The menu arc has bold swings, yet the pacing eases nerves and leaves no heaviness. Seats are limited, so reserve early; celebration requests are handled gracefully, and small attentions raise the value of the whole. A rare, quiet fullness.

We invited some friends who live in Singapore to this restaurant to celebrate our visit to the city. Make sure to have advance time to find the entrance of the restaurant. Being Japanese, we asked our friend to be our guide, so we could have a unique experience!! We tasted a variety of dishes that transported us as if we were in the land of the rising sun! The quality of the ingredients is top-notch. The wine and sake list is very interesting, and there's also a cocktail list. The service was attentive, professional, and very friendly. Recommended for connoisseurs and gourmets. We chose two sakes that, in my opinion, are unique and of excellent quality. The bill is proportionate to the quality and shouldn't shock you!!! We've never dined at this level of Japanese cuisine, and I'm honestly happy we chose this restaurant to celebrate a visit to friends after such a long time. A unique experience!!!

Comfort Indulgence at Waku Ghin Waku Ghin may be known for its exquisite omakase and fine dining precision, but what truly elevates the experience is how effortlessly it embraces comfort favourites with the same level of care and finesse. The Spaghettini with Uni is a showstopper — rich, briny, and perfectly al dente, with just the right amount of umami to make you close your eyes in satisfaction. It’s luxury comfort food at its finest. The Waku Ghin burger is another hidden gem — deceptively simple yet bursting with flavour. Every bite delivers juicy, tender beef paired with just the right amount of seasoning and texture, reminding you that comfort food can still be exceptional. And then there’s the wagyu steak — truly in a league of its own. Grilled to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and deep, beefy richness, it’s a masterclass in quality and restraint. Whether you’re indulging in the full omakase or stopping by for a refined take on comfort classics, Waku Ghin proves that even the most familiar dishes can be extraordinary in the right hands. An unforgettable dining experience — both sophisticated and soul-warming.

Probably the best restaurant I‘ve ever been to - after I had been searching for it for more than 15 minutes. Food is on another level, service is outstanding, guest room is nicely small and quite so you can have a good conversation. But again: the real thing is the food for which „outstanding“ or „incredibly good“ doesn’t come anywhere near it‘s actual quality.
