Pasta Grove

A hidden pasta gem recommended by our friends living in the area! I am a self professed pasta aficionado so trust me when I say THEIR PASTA IS LEGIT!!! Loved their handmade pasta especially the spaghetti in their carbonara which was perfectly al dente and had the most satisfyingly firm yet chewy texture! The tortellinis were little (or actually large) umami flavor bombs packed with the perfect balance of ricotta and meat…and also harmonized well with the sweet butternut squash cream. For the starters and sides, we got the mushroom soup and also BONE MARROW!!!! So unctuous and indulgent especially spread across their delectable focaccia. Oh yes and how could I forget the Cacio e Pepe fries!!! You won’t find loaded fries like these, where the whole bowl comes loaded with a creamy cheesey and peppery carbonara-like sauce! I loved mopping up every drop of the cream sauce with each fry YUM! Remember to call in advance as they do get crowded at dinnertime. Thanks for having us!!! I have been here 5+ times with friends and have enjoyed every meal to date! The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the food is genuinely one of the best Italian places I've had in Singapore in a long time. I have to praise the cacio e pepe fries and the bone marrow with focaccia, they're so tasty - homely and comforting and a real treat. The pasta itself is superb: personal favorites are the carbonara, scoglio, rigatoni, and tortellini (both classic and butternut). The tortellini has the perfect amount of bite and weight. It's hard to find good tortellini in Singapore in my opinion, and it's even harder to find good Roman-style carbonara, and Pasta Grove does such a fantastic job with both, for a very reasonable price. I'm normally forgetful when it comes to reviews but seeing some unsubstantiated negative reviews pop up for one of my favourite restaurants really makes me feel like I have to speak up for how good this place is. Truly a gem of a find. I really appreciate the staff here as well, they've always been warm and gone the extra mile for us. Thanks as always and looking forward to coming back! Not sure why there has been a number of recent 1-star reviews on Pasta Grove (all in such a short span of time from what seems to be fake accounts) and was honestly surprised, as my experience has been completely different. Have had the pleasure to have dined here a couple of times and have always found the food, service, and overall atmosphere to be consistently excellent. The team genuinely cares about their guests, and it shows in both the quality of the dishes and the hospitality. I think it's important that we support and provide feedback to businesses based on real experiences. Whether your review is positive or negative, it should reflect an actual visit and not just some fabricated story. In my experience, Pasta Grove has been a fantastic neighbourhood restaurant that deserves to be judged on the food and service they provide. Looking forward to having another Allo Scoglio here again

First time visiting here. Quite empty/quiet during weekday lunch. Ambience is nice. Ordered the weekday lunch set (1 Appetiser - soup/salad + 1 Main). Food taste delicious, love the Fettuccine chilli crab fusion which is on the spicy side which is similar to a real chili crab dish. Salad could improved, suggest go for soup instead for the appetiser.

pardon the horrible photos they actually don’t do justice to how good the food looked AND TASTED!!!!! we got the chili crab fettuccine, pork belly spaghetti (pic 1) and tortellini (pic 2). pasta for all 3 were damn good al dente etc etc everything good you can say about pasta just paste here the CRAB. soft shell fried goodness not fishy tasting at all and really texturally satisfying super crunchy but not hard at all. and the chili crab sauce was insane. this one is for all those whose favourite part of chili crab is eating the fried mantou with the sauce. not spicy at all btw if anyone is worried about that. i think even my baby cousin could slurp it up no hesitation. we loved the sauce and polished it off it was actually so delectable. tbh the pork belly spaghetti reminded me of zhnged up ramen LOL but not to say it wasn’t good bc it was amazing as well. pork belly was extremely melt in the mouth and i also never knew spaghetti could be cooked to be so qq!!! honestly sooo similar to a good bowl of ramen if that’s your thing, but not my top choice at a pasta place. NEED to speak abt our tortellini situation!!! we were actly super stuck between getting the butternut squash vs parmigiana but ultimately decided on parmigiana after a loooong deliberation that the service staff bore witness to (sorry….) but the staff was so gorgeous and kind and in the end we were served a half and half situation which let us try both sauces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! delighted us so much we were (and are) so grateful to have been able to taste both. the stuffing in the tortellini was really good on its own also but paired with the sauces? flavour town flavour nation flavour economy. butternut squash was nice and sweet, going well with the more savoury cheesy filling of the tortellini stuffing. parmigiana was cheesy but absolutely not cloying at all and i think it really amplified the taste of the tortellini stuffing. both were good in kind of opposing ways and i think that’s Beautiful. polished the sauces off on this as well. omg mixing them together was also so interesting flavour-wise if anyone else gets this combination pleaaaase try!! tantalising stuff thank you to the staff who made this possible cdc voucher friendly also btw. if my date brought me here to eat this gorgeous food AND paid using cdc… TRUST no tiktok commentary would be written

The food here is always delicious, and the desserts are just as impressive—rich, satisfying, and the perfect way to end a meal. It’s become one of our go-to places whenever we’re craving something comforting and enjoyable. The quality and taste are consistently good, which keeps us coming back time after time. There’s something about the food here that just feels like “happy food”—it lifts your mood and makes the whole dining experience so enjoyable. We enjoy it so much that we often end up ordering extra to da bao (take away) and continue enjoying it at home. Definitely a place we’ll keep returning to!

I was genuinely delighted with my dining experience at Pasta Grove. The website provided all the key functions I needed such as menu offerings, location, and reservation expectations (eg. 1.5hr dining window). The restaurant feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the world, yet is accessible by car with adequate nearby parking or a pleasant 7 minute walk from the Jelita Mall bus stop. We were greeted by polite and well spoken banquet staff who were familiar with the menu offerings and offered thoughtful recommendations without being at all pushy. Service was prompt and responsive. At one point my table water was refilled so discreetly that I had Harry Potter magic dining hall vibes. I really got the positive impression that staff balanced being watchful and proactive without being hovering. Food portion and quality was excellent for the price point. $12 for a very substantial, delicious breaded cauliflower that two hungry people could commit to polishing off but would be just as well placed as a appetite whetting starter for 3 or 4. The pastas (mid-$20s) that we had were just a whisker softer than al dente, which in my view was a good balance for them to have texture without being harsh on the gums. Pastas were also seasoned adequately that they brought out the taste of the sauce, without being too bland or otherwise overpowering. Don’t expect to eat till you burst just from just your main but I dare say you’ll feel like your calories were well spent without inducing postprandial discomfort. This visit, my dining partner and I tried fusion flavours; The chilli crab fettuccine and the scallion pork belly spaghetti. Both were measured and layered in flavour and texture with the chilli crab being more front-loaded in taste while the scallion pork had a gentler undertone that spoke to you like a thoughtful suggestion in your ear rather than a blared public service announcement. Those looking for knockout umami hits may not be satisfied but for us it left us satisfied and discussing which dishes we would try at our next visit. Dessert was tiramisu and chendol panacotta, both of which were excellent in the ways that in-house made fare excel at being. I’d have the pana cotta ($12) again if I were eating a full meal, but if I just visited for coffee and cake the tiramisu ($16) would be substantial enough to leave me feeling very fulfilled. Overall I’d say I’m adding this establishment to my (short) list of places I’d bring friends and family alike people to for “more special than everyday” occasions, while also being reasonably within price reach for the periodic self-treat that needs no pretext. Was looking forward to my first meal there with the high ratings on Google Maps. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. Everything was just ok, nothing really stood out. Service was perfunctory. The pastas were al dante but this should be minimum requirement for a pasta restaurant. The best was probably the seafood pasta. The chicken dish was tasty. The food pacing was uneven. The appetisers came out quite quickly but thereafter there was a significant pause while we twiddled our thumbs till the pastas and the mains appeared, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We felt the portions were small for the price and the price felt high for a restaurant in this location. We didn't feel like ordering desserts. Unlikely to return with the many other good Italian and pasta eateries in Singapore.
