Came here for a quick catch up with friends, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The pizzas were decent, and between the ones we ordered, I personally preferred the Nera pizza over the La Nonna pizza, though that comes down to personal preference. The crust was nice and thin, which I enjoyed, and overall I would rate the pizzas as slightly above average. What really stood out was the service. The staff were attentive and friendly, constantly refilling our water and wine and even making small talk with us, which made the experience feel more welcoming. Another pleasant surprise was the price. Considering the quality of the food and service, I found it really affordable. Overall, it’s a great place for a casual meal with friends, offering decent pizzas, excellent service, and good value for money.

So why not 5 stars? So the manager, yes can be friendly but over friendly and joking, and can some quite guai lan when taking my order. So I changed my order from the set lunch to the 1 for 1 promo, he acknowledged and joked that my set lunch starter is coming. It’s a playful comment but I did not appreciate it. La Nonna feel like an Italian place for more matured dining experience, and not some teenage cafe. The vibe and attitude needs to cater to the setting. This place gets 5 stars for its food, definitely tasty and value for money. Service, can be bad if u are seated outside without reservations. It’s very hot, fan is not enough. Person who tops up ur water needs to pay more attention to the people sitting outside in the hot temperature, not serving water to people inside aircon room only. Atmosphere is a darn 3 stars because it was a mess for me. It feels like there is lack of attention outside, hard to find a waiter and have to stand up to find one, if not for the 1 for 1 deal, I might not come back again.

Always enjoy having a good Italian lunch at this place 👌 The food and service have consistently been top-notch every time I visit. The dishes are well executed, comforting, and full of flavour, while the staff are always warm, attentive, and welcoming. It’s one of those places that feels reliable no matter what you order, honestly you can never go wrong dining here!

Dine at La Nonna using Eatigo 50% after 830pm. Promotion was value for money 👍🏻 Tried the signature La Nonna pizza and Bismarck Pizza. Wished the egg was more runny for Bismarck. Asparagus on La Nonna pizza added great texture, not dried up 👍🏻 the truffle mushroom on both pizzas made them both taste the same though. The calamari was ok, the batter was light. Will come back again and try the pastas.

I ordered the signature truffle pizza. Very disappointed because the there is no wow factor. The truffle taste is weak. The pizza dough is average in texture. It just tastes like a normal pizza with mozzarella cheese. My meal was lifted up when I ordered the lobster Ravioli . The Ravioli was al adante ! And the lobster filling was delicious. You can taste the lobster meat sweetness and it’s not mushy at all. Service is normal , likewise for atmosphere.

How this restaurant has a 4.2-star rating is baffling to me. When I asked a waiter about the arrabbiata, he didn’t even know what that was… How are you a waiter in an Italian restaurant and not know one of the most basic pasta sauces? That was the least problematic thing that happened during our visit. The food is absolutely abhorrent. We ordered the lobster ravioli and their “signature” pizza. The ravioli’s tomato sauce tasted like pre-made NTUC sauce. The “lobster” tasted more like frozen prawn paste. The ravioli was definitely pre-packaged—it tasted worse than the pre-packaged ravioli I get from M&S. It literally tasted like a prawn dim sum dumpling you’d get from a random coffee shop. Their “signature” pizza tasted like it had been pre-made and then just dumped in a microwave to heat before serving. Maybe if they had actually done that properly, it might’ve tasted better, because when we received it, the pizza was lukewarm. The base was also soggy and didn’t taste fresh at all. Possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Even Domino’s could serve you better. The asparagus was soggy too. This meal absolutely ruined our Valentine’s Day, and I genuinely hope nobody ever patronizes this restaurant. **EDIT/ UPDATE: They have also responded to this review by accusing me of ‘working for a competitor’… I wish I were, because I wasn’t compensated at all for the absolutely terrible food they served me. My goodness… they haven’t even taken any form of accountability and instead have resorted to making up lies. Also, really appreciate the compliment about my writing lol… Yes, reported to Google… and they will see from my review history that I indeed have not gone around rating Italian restaurants one or two stars! In fact, I have given many restaurants of varying cuisines 5 stars. And they mentioned they reviewed the CCTV footage? What’s there to review… us coming into your restaurant like normal people, dining and leaving? Extremely dishonest establishment

We came as a group of 7 pax with 5 adults and 2 kids for lunch last Saturday afternoon. As it was hard to find parking, part of the group arrived first and we proceeded to order a variety of pizzas and other mains, with an aim to order more when the rest of the group arrives. Halfway into our meal, the restaurant manager (middle aged Chinese lady) storms over and hastily scolded us for not ordering enough and that there was a minimum order of 6 mains, since the two kids would be counted as one adult. While we have no issues ordering more and in fact; we were already going to order more… there was no need for the manager to adopt such a tone. This was after all a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant had ample seating. Why was there a need to be so curt and rude to your patrons? FYI: we did end up ordering more simply because we were a big group needing to be fed but the service attitude can be improved. Apart from the manager, the rest of the service crew including part-timers were courteous and helpful.

I passed by this pizza shop and noticed their selection along with a 1-for-1 🍕 takeout deal. Even though I had already eaten, I couldn’t resist trying their Cinque formaggi and Prosciutto di parma e rucola. I was glad I did—they were delicious 😋, even after two hours and eaten cold. I can only imagine how much better they’d taste fresh out of the oven. _________ 📨 to the owner: Hi, you’re welcome. My rating reflects the overall experience, not just the food. The food itself was 3 stars for the area — decent quality. The service was 2 stars because it felt purely transactional; your staff only engaged after I stood there for a while and asked questions, the chef didn’t show a welcoming face, and if you are the owner I saw that day, you didn’t even greet me — you were focused on your accounting work instead. I didn’t feel the Italian grandmother’s warmth. The atmosphere was 1 star, as the space lacked the ambience for a true la nonna Italian experience. To me, a higher rating comes when food, service, and atmosphere all feel above average — where warmth and genuine hospitality are part of the experience, not just the transaction. That said, I would still recommend your food.
