Griglia Open Fire Italian Kitchen - Katong

Had such a lovely dinner at Griglia for our anniversary! The food was delicious from start to finish: the Sicilian tomatoes, Hokkaido scallops and crab pasta were all really good, and the 30-day dry-aged porterhouse was such a showstopper (the bell when it came out was such a fun touch 😂🔔🥩). The service was also warm and attentive throughout the evening, which made the whole experience feel extra special. We also really appreciated the complimentary anniversary photo, such a thoughtful touch and now we have a little keepsake to remember our 12th anniversary by. 🥹❤️ Thank you Griglia for making our celebration such a memorable one! We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back. ✨

We had a fantastic dinner at Griglia Katong to celebrate a friend’s birthday — seven of us in total, and it was such a great evening. The ambience was fabulous: warm, stylish and lively, but still comfortable enough for a proper group dinner. Service was equally good — attentive, friendly and well paced throughout. We ordered quite a spread, including the homemade focaccia, sun-dried tomatoes with burratina, beef tartare and the house-made lasagna. From the grill, we had the pork chop, suckling pig porchetta, 30-day dry-aged porterhouse and Mediterranean sea bass, together with sides like Brussels sprouts, potato purée and peppers. We finished with tiramisu. The food was consistently very well executed, especially the grilled dishes — great char, flavour and texture, and ideal for sharing. The porterhouse and porchetta were particular highlights for us. Overall, a really memorable birthday dinner. Great food, fabulous ambience and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back.

First experience at this casual place and it was for the well priced 3 course set lunch. Appreciated that most items on the menu did not need an up-charge for meat/seafood items which is common at many other business lunch spots. Delicious starter of beef tartare, main of crispy skin sea bass with asparagus and dessert of a canoli. Service was attentive (water topped up, bag hook for ladies and asking for feedback). I’ll return next time to try their Craig Rd outlet and steak.

🔥 Griglia Open Fire Italian Kitchen – Katong Went to Griglia with pretty high expectations, mainly because of its impressive Google reviews — and thankfully, it did not disappoint! 😍 The dishes we ordered were all on point. Everything was well executed, flavourful and nicely presented. Griglia specialises in Italian dishes with an open-fire grill, and you can definitely taste that smoky, charred touch in some of the dishes. Other diners have also particularly praised their steaks, pasta and scallops. (Griglia⁠) Service was good too — quick and attentive without making us feel rushed. They do have two dinner seatings, so the pace was efficient, but it never felt like they were pushing us out. The restaurant has a nice, warm and slightly upscale atmosphere, making it a good choice for a dinner with friends, family or a date night. And yes… no food photos this time 😂 We were so ready to eat that we immediately tucked in! ⭐️ Overall: A satisfying dinner and one place where the high ratings actually lived up to expectations. By the way, reservation is highly recommended

Third visit and the service is always warm and welcoming! Food presentation and taste is as preached so grilled meats and vegetables are a MUST! Had the 900g comprising of sirloin and tenderloin sections 🥰 accompanied by Kale, potato puree and brussel sprouts which i couldn’t stop snacking on (i had never liked brussel sprouts based on what i was served at other establishments)! Can certainly taste the smokiness of the 24mth aged Parma ham and smoked pear! Beef tartare with truffle slices is our usual order too! Tried the Pappardelle and loved how the pasta sheets are so thinly fine and fresh and is the perfect base for the tasty and tender pork cheek 🤤 As the space is small and cosy, maybe about 25 seater thereabouts, any larger and rowdier group would render the place a challenge for normal table conversation, hence a 4-star for Ambience.

We visited this restaurant for the first time to celebrate our son’s birthday, and what a wonderful experience it was! ❤️ The service was fantastic, and we especially loved the thoughtful birthday photo frame they prepared for us. It made the evening feel even more special and gave us a lovely memory to take home. 🥰 It was such a nice moment to spend our son’s birthday dinner together as a family. The food was great too! Thank you so much for making his birthday so memorable! 🎂✨

Preorder the steak for a discount. Waiter was extremely good and attentive to our needs. Free flow still / sparking water at $3 per cup. All dishes tastes good. Recommend the grilled octopus, tomato, and porterhouse steak! A slice of cake with ice cream was given to the birthday recipient alongside a print of photo of the celebration. Had a wonderful dining experience at Griglia! Guna took the time to walk us through the menu, including what was unavailable for the day, and was very attentive to our dietary restrictions. Karan was equally pleasant and regularly checked in to make sure everything was going well, while also asking if there was anything else we would like to add to our meal. It’s always heartwarming to encounter service staff who genuinely put in the effort to make their guests feel well taken care of. The food was amazing as well, and we didn’t have to wait long between dishes. Our family of four shared the 200-day grain-fed Porterhouse, cooked to medium doneness, and it was definitely a great choice. The meat was beautifully tender and juicy. The restaurant is rather cosy with limited seating, so I’d recommend making a reservation, especially if you’re visiting over the weekend. For those driving, parking lots along the road are limited, but i12 Katong is conveniently located just across the road and makes a good alternative. Great food, warm hospitality and attentive service — definitely a place we’d love to return to!
