Came for Esquina’s 15th anniversary menu and not only the flavour wows, we appreciated the spiel behind the each creation through the years, to taste the first tapas that chef Carlos presented when he first arrived in SG and such a treat to be served “off the menu” items. For the 15th anniversary celebration, the uni paelle which is usually only available in a tasting menu is ala carte - do make space for this. Absolutely delightful evening - casual lively vibes and josper grills that hits the spot, explains why it stands after fifteen good years. Congratulations Chef Carlos and team Esquina 🥂

Here’s a polished version of your review: Food Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The food was super delicious and beautifully presented. Every dish was well-executed, with great flavors and quality ingredients. The only downside is that the portions are on the smaller side, so don’t expect a very filling meal. The biggest issue was the waiting time. We waited almost 1 hour for the food to arrive, only to finish everything in about 10 minutes. Considering the portion sizes, the long wait felt a little excessive. Pricing is also on the higher side, which makes the overall value slightly harder to justify. That said, the food itself was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. Overall: Great food, small portions, long wait times, and a fairly pricey bill. Worth trying if you’re not in a rush and don’t mind paying a premium for quality. 🍽️✨

Came here for my wife's birthday dinner. Booked here super last minute. They were able to accomodate to no pork and non alcoholic menu preferences. We saw the menu and decided to dive in straight to the tapas menu. The pictures of the dishes that I'll be posting does not do the best service, but it was one of the best Spanish meals I've had in a pretty long run! Don't be fooled also by the quantity of the food, each dish stacked on one after the other, complimenting and building up. The flavours were light, beginning with the seafood, tantalizing the tongue with the fresh acidity titillating your senses. We went on to the greens, the tomato with burrata ice cream and the grilled asparagus to prepare the tummy for the amazing foie grass terrine. It was sublime. The seabass and the beef plate short rib was the bomb. Never had a crispy seabass in a long time served on bed of mash and clams with amazing salsa verde. The beef plate rib was also prepared to perfection, good amount of meat to fat ratio, the chimichurri cuts the heaviness of it. We ended off with a different dessert as we went for non alcoholic, it was Japanese strawberries with basil sorbet and marshmellows. It was a very light and refreshing way to end a heavy meal. We were pleasantly surprised when the manager, Tarissa, prepared a mini birthday cake for my wife! Truly the service here is amazing, their acute awareness of the smallest of things and detail is truly amazing. They changed our plate after each use, ensuring that we had a clean set of utensils to enjoy each different segment of the menu. Ambience is a whole different level, getting to see the chefs cook, good levels of ambient music, no wonder this place is on the Michelin guide. Good honest Spanish cuisine at its finest. Will definitely come by again in a heartbeat, to try out the other aspects of their menu! Kudos Esquina! 10/10

Had a wonderful Friday dinner with my partner. Had the Padron peppers which was well executed and juicy. Then had the artichoke and the cauliflower. If we were to pick the truffle cauliflower wins hands down. Then for mains we had the lamb and the iberico pork. Both were yummy with the pork emerging the winner of the 2. By the time dessert came we were super full but enjoyed the beer banana cake. Highly recommend to reserve the counter seat and see the staff in action. You get to talk to the chef as well who is ever so willing to share too. For the amount of quality food we had it’s worth it for sure.

Great place, good food, friendly staff and amazing neighbourhood. The flavours are a bit mild, I want a bit more punch. We tried a couple of different courses on the menu. We loved the octupus. The truffle califlower need a bit more crunch, it’s really missing and maybe add some truffle oil to really get the flavours of the truffle. We had a nice garnacha wine, but would love if they could add another wine with more tannins and more full body. We couldn’t really find that on the wine menu, might add that we drank by the glass. The food got served in a weird order, the tomato bruschetta which is a starter came out in the middle of the dinner. Also the dessert need more ice cream, we had to add another scope.

Loved coming to Esquina the first time, and my recent visit last weekend! The food never disappoints (all dishes on BOTH occasions!). They never miss. The location was near Maxwell MRT which made it so easy to get to. This place is tucked in a little corner which makes the ambience warm and cozy, but don’t underestimate the vibes and liveliness that’s happening inside! Apart from the interior that makes you feel right at home, it’s talented chefs and remarkable service is what makes me feel welcome to come back again.

Second time here for dinner 2 pax. Recommend to my friends and she loved it too ! There’s a hidden dessert basque cheese cake need to pre order in advanced. I’m surprised because I was just initially asking in the reservation notes and no one approach to me whether is approved or not until I attended the dinner 😂 nevertheless , this basque cheese cake is the best one I had in SG so far 🔥 we can’t finish the whole tart so I guess the portion is good for 3-4pax. Well , I didn’t took all the photos but all were nice and totally worth the price! Until my friend mentioned , congratulations to your Michelin award !
