Petai prawn, Ayam buah keluah, chap Chye, chin chalok egg was okay. Curry chicken was a bit lacklustre. Sweet potato leaves slightly salty. 3 of us ordered $150 of food so we had to take away half of the food. I asked for 2 packets of chilli. The lady replied “we sell this chilli” . We even checked at the counter before leaving if they gave chilli. She said yes. End up she didnt give any. Wouldn’t go back there again, chilli is a small issue. And even they wouldn’t even give that. Not sure what kind of customer service is this. Note: it’s not that they don’t give chilli for takeaway. They have given me previously.

As a third generation Nyonya who grew up eating my Nenek's cooking, I personally find it difficult to be impressed by Peranakan cuisine — which is also why I highly recommend Old Bibik's! Ambience: No Aircon and might get a tad warm but there're fans. Service: Fantastic; staff were very attentive! Dishes we ordered and ratings: 1) Beef Rendang Set Meal (8/10) - Beef Rendang was tender and flavourful; generally good but not impressive. Chap Chye was good too but also not impressive. Everything else is exactly what you expect it to taste like. 2) Crispy Chinchalok Omelette (10/10) - one of my fave dishes, the texture of crispiness + fluffiness was there and the sauce went so well with the egg! The omelette didn't just have Chinchalok, it also had small prawns in it! Personally feel this is a must order! 3) Barramundi Assam Pedas (9/10) - Am not someone who enjoys Fish much and therefore this rating shows that the dish is considered to be very good 🤭 Fish was fried to a really good texture and the bite was good too. Sauce was a very authentic assam pedas taste! My husband and father (2nd gen Baba) was so in love with this dish, they were ready to travel here again just to eat this (we stay in the far west so that speaks a lot too) 4) Udang Nenas Masak Lemak (9/10) - I actually really like this dish but the more I ate it the more I thought of laksa because of how Lemak it was 😂 Nenas had a small contribution to the sourness but otherwise it's really fresh prawns in a Lemak laksa sauce and some sourness. Still rating it high cos I really enjoyed this dish! Definitely coming back again for more, and probably gonna bring more people so we can try more dishes too!

Food quite salty, and not hot. won’t go visit again. 3 pax - over ordered food cos we wanted to try quite a few dishes, so we takeaway some leftovers. Requested for 2 packets of Chili and the cashier said ok. Before I left I deliberately asked again if she did pack 2 packets of Chili, she said yes. Reached home and realised that she lied. Why need to lie over 2 packets of Chili? How to last long if so calculative over Chili? We purposely over ordered.

Good Peranakan food in an area where parking can be horrendously difficult. There are limited parking spaces along the service road. First time trying these dishes as a takeaway rather than dining in. The packaging was done really well to minimise spillage of gravy and soup. Staff are friendly and helpful with suggestion of dishes for some dietary restrictions. Enjoyed the barramundi fish in onion sauce as it was well fried without being dry. The ayam buah keluak had enough flavour with the sauce, but the itik sio was too sweet. The jiuhu char was a bit underwhelming as this is a halal version and the flavour didn't quite hit the spot. Bakwan kepeting soup was good.

Ordered 22 bento sets for my workplace lunch, including Ayam Belanda Bento, Nonya Curry Chicken Bento, and Nonya Fried Chicken Bento. Very impressed with the service; the team was responsive, friendly, and kept me updated promptly via WhatsApp throughout the process. Delivery was punctual as requested (by 12pm), and the food arrived still warm 👍 Portions were generous for the price and even included a bottled drink, which were defined value for money. The food tasted great and was well received by everyone. We also ordered an extra portion of Ayam Buah Keluak, which was delicious. Overall, a smooth ordering experience with great service and good food. Will definitely order again!

I highly recommend trying this Nyonya restaurant! We ordered a Padang beef, a Nyonya fried chicken set meal (with rice), and a purple rice ice cream dessert. The total bill for two people was 47 SGD. The Padang beef was flavorful, and the beef was quite tender and easy to chew, though not to the point of melting in your mouth. The fried chicken was super delicious, but a bit oily (I mean, fried chicken is hard to enjoy without being oily). The purple rice ice cream is also highly recommended; eating ice cream alone would probably be too sweet. The staff was very friendly and spoke Chinese. They were all smiles as they took our order and paid the bill. We were lucky to have met them.

Generally a decent peranakan meal after exploring Joo Chiat area. Few dishes I felt could have been better 1) Ikan assam pedas lacks the spicyness, 2) Nonya chap chye a tad too sweet. 3) Nonya fried chicken, seems somewhat over fried, the meat a tad dry 4) Sotong goreng passble, uninspiring. Wheras, crispy chinchalok omelette is fluffy, light and airy, better with dipping sauce that came along. Among 3 desserts, Goreng pisang ice cream was passable, guessing the ice cream melted too fast, made the fried item soggy. Perhaps better, if the ice cream is not served ontop of goreng pisang, but by the side. Both pulut hitam and sago gula melaka fared much better in taste. The chilli sauce is good though!
