Quite a unique cai fan, as they serve blue pea rice, which is really special! It's more expensive than your usual economic rice, but still good to try, especially if you want something that tastes like homecooked food.

This plate of 4 dishes $6. Tasty dishes. Be careful when picking bitter gourd, there are 2 options: $2 if bitter gourd with pork, $1 when just bitter gourd. It was nice stall charges 50-cents for less rice (instead of $1)

Great Peranakan food at Emmanuel. Fragrant rice, flavorful dishes, aromatic rendang. Peranakan food is trending up nowadays, but for Singaporeans - it's really just food. While many of the trendy places emphasize buah keluak - and while this IS Peranakan, to be honest, how many of us ate that specifically on the regular? Emmanuel is more about normal home-cooked Singaporean food, done well, with the Peranakan markers emphasized a little more. I don't think I'll mention too much about the specific dishes, suffice to say it's all great, and different people have slightly different preferences. Have been eating this shop's food for years, and it's as good as it ever was. The couple who man this place came from the more established 'Xing Long' just around the corner, but after it was sold, this couple were evidently let go. After a few months, they set up this stall, but due to the greater name recognition of 'Xing Long', they emphasized on their blue pea Nasi Lemak so as not to compete directly. Believe this was around the COVID era, and I was really rooting for them to succeed in their business. Well, it seems like I wasn't the only one. Word eventually got around, and their popularity recovered. Am really happy to see them succeed, these hardworking Singaporeans totally deserve it. (the man is kind of famously surly, but he doesn't mean it. Be prepared with your order before you get to him, or else!)

Joined the long queue to try Emmanuel Peranakan cai fun — I suspect most first-timers like me were drawn in by the word “Peranakan cuisine.” Taste-wise, the food was alright, but honestly, it didn’t feel very Peranakan to me. Prices are reasonable, though portions are on the smaller side. Recommended dishes: fried salmon, otak, chicken rendang, and brinjal. Overall, can try lah.

Emmannel Paranakan Cuisine located at Marine Parade Hawker Centre # 01-30, Singapore 440084. Lunch time gave a try on Nyonya Nasi Lemak , small portion & taste like normal rice, the cook should improve the standard 🧐🤔

Portion is insanely small. Ordered both steam egg and fried eggs and this was the portion offered. Look at the other reviews and judge for yourself too. Extremely stingy. Will avoid in the future.

Favourite cai fan, slightly pricier than the rest, but I am still obsessed.
