I would like to start off by saying that this is honestly one of the best Malay - Indo food in Singapore. I’ve been gatekeeping this for a good amount of months but I believe that they actually deserve all the recognition and good reviews for their food. I’ve visited their places a few times for their mixed rice and mee soto. Their mee soto is actually pretty good, but DAMN their mixed rice is on another level bro. I got their ayam kicap, begedil, sambal goreng and the telor balado with ice limau on the side? BAANG!That’s literally a whole feast for me. I literally DEVOURED until there’s nothing left on the plate. I swear every time I’m craving indo food i just come here bro, its a bit of a walk BUT it fixes my food cravings. This is honestly one of the best spots to eat in SG. I’m not even lying bro cause like I don’t PLAY with my food bro. Food is not a game to me💀. I hope that this review CONVINCES you to come here and give them lots of love for supporting local restaurants :).

As an Indonesian citizen, I've been taught since childhood that the only restaurant that's always delicious is Padang restaurant, and that's true, even now, even at the age of 33, my comfort food is Padang rice. When I'm stuck for something to eat, Padang rice is my go-to option. Once, on a weekend (Saturday-Sunday), I booked a plane ticket to Padang to hunt for Padang rice and rendang. I finally crowned the rendang at Lamun Ombak restaurant as the winner. Although I'm often exposed to rendang from Pagi Sore, Payakumbuah, and other restaurants in Jakarta, it turns out that Lamun Ombak's is the winner. But when I went to Singapore, stopped by Hj. Maimunah's restaurant and ate the rendang, I stopped for a moment! I looked at my wife and said, "This doesn't make sense." The flavor of the rendang seemed to melt into the fibers of the meat. Not only was it tender and absorbed, but it felt like every ingredient my tongue needed to say it was delicious was present in a piece of rendang from this restaurant (subjective and based on my taste). To ensure the taste was consistent, I finally eliminated one lunch destination the next day to return and try the rendang again. It was delicious on Lamun Ombak! Good taste, Hj. Maimunah!

I visited Haji Maimunah recently and had a very disappointing experience. While purchasing a pudding, I noticed that it was already spoiled. When I informed the staff member, she initially dismissed my concern and reluctantly claimed that it was just the egg. Only after I showed her the spoiled portion clearly did she admit, “Ya lah, spoiled.” She simply offered a refund without showing any concern about the serious food-safety risk. This is not just about getting my money back what if I had eaten it and suffered food poisoning? More concerningly, it was not only one pudding. The entire batch stored in the refrigerator appeared to be spoiled, yet the situation was taken very lightly. The staff member was also rude, dismissive and extremely unapproachable. I later spoke to the manager, who apologised and said I could make a claim if anything happened to me. However, spoiled food should never have been available for sale in the first place. The affected items should have been removed immediately, and the matter should have been handled with urgency. I hope management investigates this incident, reviews its food-storage procedures and properly trains staff to respond to food-safety concerns. This was a serious issue, not merely a refund matter.

Still my absolute go-to halal spot for meals in Bugis! I love that they have expanded the dining area—it's so much more spacious now, and the addition of air conditioning makes dining here way more comfortable, especially in the afternoon heat. As always, there is an amazing variety of dishes to choose from, each packed with authentic flavor. A must-visit spot whenever you're in the Kampong Glam/Bugis area!

Food is expensive but so so..i think the standard dropped .staff not friendly. Ask for tissue and was asked to take ourselves and he is busy playing phones at the corner near toilet. The Siput is FULL of slime ..not one but all, whixh is different what i ate previously..googled and was said it is not fully clean,or undercooked.. feels like eating mucus ..yuck!

Great nasi padang here. Cannot go wrong. Always try their beef rendang, sting ray, plus their tauhu telor is very good. Desserts here are a little too sweet for me though. Do ask for sambal belacan for those who wants more kick in their food. Explosion of tastes for sure.

Its perfectly seasoned and tender beef rendang is paired with a wide selection of authentic kampung side dishes. There's a clean and comfortable air-conditioned dining area upstairs.

We reached there around 11am. Queue for about 15 mins?. Ordered white rice with paru berlado, sotong hitam & 4 types of kuih. All tasted good 👍. A bit disappointed because I didn't get to eat my telur tauhu as it wasn't ready yet. Came down all the way for that actually. Buttt will definitely repeat whenever I come to SG in future.
