Was here in IMM to get some stuff for overseas trip. Had mee siam and chicken briyani for lunch here . Attracted by their food display ! Namely their Nasi Padang. Will definitely be back to try other stuff ! Updated 9Jun 2026 Today we had the Nasi Padang. Curry chicken is cold a little tough & over cooked but taste wise alright. Ladyfingers is nice . $9.40 for the plate. Updated 17Jun 2026 Curry chicken is tough ! Pay more attention to thawing & defrosting please .......... don't boil using high heat ! Spinach & curry vegetables are nice ! Today's plate cost $8 . Dinning experience is good . Food presentation is very good too ! Meat dishes needs improvement.

I had a disappointing experience with one of the staff members at this outlet. I was waiting for someone to take my order, but the lady serving me rudely said, "If you don't speak up, don't order." I also asked for no taugeh, but she replied that it was too late because she had already added it, even though I mentioned it only a few seconds after placing my order. Her tone was sarcastic and unfriendly throughout the interaction, and she did not seem willing to help. I visit this outlet regularly and have always had pleasant experiences with the other staff members, which made this incident especially disappointing.

As a paying customer, we do not deserve this kind of customer service. Often lunch here as I worked nearby. Seems like queuing at an army cookhouse or prison food line as, usually one of the staff , an Indian Muslim lady will always shout ‘next order!’ If you delay once bit, she will open her eyes and continue to shout even louder, next order!.. the other Malay lady will also always show face as if we are begging for food there.. Happened today, she did not asked if I wanted white rice or briyani rice, so she scooped white rice which I politely asked for briyani rice, she turn around and gave a sinister look..almost wanted to leave but kept calm. Aunties if you are not happy, I would gladly scoop it myself.. Pls educate your staff on customer service.. a simple pls and thank you is lacking here. I would commend on the uncle that clears the plate, that is good customer service, take pride, service with a smile and thank you when we assist to return the plate during rush hour.. this is a feedback for the management..

Red Ginger, IMM – Mee Siam with Otah & Lontong Red Ginger continues to do what it does best—serve food that feels comforting, familiar, and quietly satisfying. Mee Siam with Otah This Mee Siam leans beautifully into comfort rather than sharp intensity. The gravy is mildly tangy with a gentle coconut richness, smooth and soothing instead of aggressively sour or spicy. It’s the kind of flavour that warms you up slowly, spoon by spoon. The bee hoon is soft and well-coated in the gravy, while the tau pok absorbs all that flavour effortlessly. The otah is the real highlight—fragrant, slightly smoky, and rich, adding depth and personality to the dish. Paired with the egg, sambal, and a squeeze of lime, everything comes together in a way that feels nostalgic and satisfying. It’s not flashy, just very heartfelt. Lontong The lontong is pure comfort on a plate. The turmeric-yellow gravy is mellow, creamy, and gently spiced, wrapping the vegetables and lontong in warmth. The cabbage is soft and sweet, the gravy well-balanced, and the sambal on the side lets you adjust the heat to your liking. Every bite feels homely, like something you’d eat on a quiet day when you just want food that understands you. Overall Both dishes feel thoughtfully prepared and true to Red Ginger’s comforting identity. Nothing overdone, nothing rushed—just honest flavours that soothe and satisfy. If you’re at IMM and craving something warm, familiar, and grounding, the Mee Siam with Otah and Lontong are choices you won’t regret.

The food here is really really delicious. My partner and I walked pass and I instantly smell the fragrance of curry within the vicinity. We settled down and I went to order for both of us. As we saw there is a promotion on fish head curry. So we got tat set and some ala carte dishes along with it. The dishes are great but the star is the fish head curry, very fragrant. It's taste very peranakan style, heavy on spices with hint of Assam flavors. Abit like indian curry but with less heaviness. Another great dish is the mee rubus, cook to perfection. Noodles nt too soggy and serves with very palatable gua. There is also a choice to add on satay and I must say the satay is worth to get. The teh tarik is also on of the best. Quite sweet so ppl who skip sweets might wanna reduce on the sugar. Ambience of the place is like a small restaurant, although no service but for the price factor is worth the while. Any one who is nearby shld give it a try.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem for Hearty Malay Comfort Food Stumbled into Red Ginger Café at just the right time — no queue, quick service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Within minutes, the place filled up, so I was lucky! The nasi padang was fantastic — a generous, well-balanced plate with crispy fried fish, rich curry gravy, omelette, long beans, and a side of tofu. Everything was flavourful and fresh. Paired it with a smooth, perfectly pulled cup of teh tarik that hit all the right notes. Service was fast and friendly, and the setup felt clean and well-run. Great value for money too. Red Ginger delivers whether you’re craving a full meal or just a kopi break. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

A Delicious & Value-Packed Business Lunch Oasis! My recent business lunch at Red Ginger in IMM was a delightful surprise, proving that you don't have to sacrifice flavour or your budget for a quick yet satisfying midday meeting. This unassuming spot delivered some truly delicious local favourites, making it an excellent choice for a productive and palatable break. I opted for a combination that truly hit the spot: the Mee Rebus alongside the Nasi Biryani with bitter gourd. Let's start with the Mee Rebus. It was a well-executed rendition, featuring springy yellow noodles bathed in a thick, rich gravy that struck a perfect balance of savoury, sweet, and tangy notes. It was comforting and full of depth, a classic done right. The Nasi Biryani was equally impressive. The rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, with each grain infused with the aromatic spices characteristic of a good biryani. The accompanying bitter gourd was a clever and delicious addition, providing a slight bitterness that perfectly cut through the richness of the rice. The ensemble was completed by a crispy piece of keropok, a perfectly cooked hard-boiled egg, and a generous serving of sambal squid. The sambal squid was particularly noteworthy – tender, with a piquant and flavourful kick that elevated the entire dish. Every component on both plates was genuinely delicious, showcasing a commendable attention to taste and quality. What made the experience even more remarkable was the final bill: a mere $14.30. For such a hearty, flavourful, and diverse spread, this represents truly fantastic value for money, especially within a shopping mall environment. The atmosphere at Red Ginger was conducive for a business lunch – it's clean, comfortable, and efficient, allowing for easy conversation without excessive noise. The service was prompt and well-organised, ensuring our meal was served efficiently without delays, which is crucial for a mid-day meeting. Red Ginger at IMM is a hidden gem for anyone seeking delicious, authentic local dishes at an unbeatable price point. Whether you're grabbing a quick solo meal or hosting a casual business lunch, their Mee Rebus and Nasi Biryani are highly recommended. It's a place that delivers on flavour, value, and convenience.

I had a lunch today at Red Ginger in IMM outlet mall. They served nice Malaysian or Singaporean style Nasi Padang. It is not really authentic Nasi Padang, but it is still great and can be an alternative when we want to eat Nasi Padang. They also provided some kueh as a desserts and some beverages such as tea and coffees.
