Love love le bon funk :~) and so glad i chose it for dinner with the family! We loved what we ordered, specifically: - Foie gras toast (must get everytime i eat at LBF) - heritage chicken (first time ordering and it was so good, did not disappoint) - burrata and sourdough (huge portion of burrata and super soft bread) - pecorino agnolotti with morel and onions (dumpling-like pasta filled w cheese and potato, super delicious loved the fried potatoes on top wish there was more!!!!!) And wanna give a shoutout to our lovely server Brandon who took really good care of us. Our cups were never empty and loved the small talk too :) All other servers were also incredibly kind and polite! Was an amazing dining experience overall. Highly recommend and can’t wait till the next time I’m back!

French cuisine is usually heavily associated with elitism and overly complicated techniques. Most of the time, that reputation holds true. However, Le Bon Funk challenges that narrative. They continue to keep the culinary fundamentals that the French and any high end kitchen pride themselves in strictly intact. But we can start to see that the focus shifts entirely to making the simple exceptional. This is a masterclass in executing every elemental component to its absolute highest potential and simply by using the best available ingredients possible. I personally love the touch that they have to update my order list simply because an ingredient was not of enough quality hence them withholding it from being served.

We had the most wonderful dinner at LBF this evening, and not just because of the beautifully created dishes, but the overall vibes and attentive, hospitable service. Overall a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion, the food is a tad pricey but I would say most of them are worth every dollar. Lamb saddle - super tender, paired with pilaf rice and spices and aubergine that made it more filling than jt looks. Not gamey at all. Heritage chicken - moist and perfectly cooked, but overpriced imo. Can be a bit bland compared to the rest of the dishes. Chips with ikura dip - also felt overpriced, I would not reorder the next time I'm here. Manila clams - order the sourdough to go with the sauce!! The sauce is the ultimate flavour bomb and truly the highlight. Smoked sardines - refreshing appetizer, not fishy and well-balanced with the addition of onions and tomatoes. Burrata - also goes very well with the sourdough, a light, easy appetizer. Roselle foie gras toast - highly recommended, each mouth was bursting with rich flavour and yet it didn't feel overwhelming or too heavy.

Wanted to try LBF for awhile now. Food is great, ambience was nice but food service was slow. Have received a complimentary dessert after but yes would appreciate if someone updated us on the waiting time for the mains (said 1hr for mains waiting time??) Everything else was great but the waiting time was quite long so do take that into consideration!

Service in LBF was impeccable, always ensuring our water was topped up & taking time to explain the various aspects of the menu. The Burrata was fantastic & paired brilliantly with the side of sourdough. The Chips with Whipped Roe & Ikura to us was slightly overrated & not our favourite dish of the evening. For medium plates, we were in love with the Beef Tongue & Gribiche Sandwich. The tongue was so thinly sliced it just melted in your mouth. The bread was wonderfully toasted & crispy, giving it a different texture contrast to the soft beef tongue. We shared the Heritage Chicken & the chicken was marvellously tender/marinated. However the sauce was on the sweeter side & did not elevate the padron peppers’ flavour. In fact, the sweetness overpowered the padron peppers. LBF is a fantastic restaurant and highly recommended.

The food and service were excellent! We had sourdough bread, buratta cheese, parmesian croquets, salad, artichoke, pasta, chicken, and chocolate & coffee cake (forgot to take photos of several items). It had a nice ambiance. Only drawback is it’s a bit noisy as sound carries from other tables.

Le Bon Funk was an absolute standout from start to finish. The bartender was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately set the tone for a great evening. What really impressed us was how attentive and thoughtful he was - offering recommendations based on our allergies and even suggesting portion sizes based on how hungry we were. It made the whole experience feel personalised and relaxed. We ordered the sea bream, burrata, and beef tongue sandwich, and all three dishes were great. The beef tongue sandwich in particular was a highlight! To drink, we had the Le Bon Spritz and mojito. Overall, Le Bon Funk delivered on every level: amazing food and genuinely warm service. Will definitely be back!

The Paradise Jelly and Foie Gras Toast is highly recommended by the servers and certainly unique—milk bread with cedar tree jelly topped with grated frozen foie gras, almost like foie gras bingsu on toast….Creative, though I personally prefer a more classic foie gras preparation where the flavour comes through more clearly. The Full Blood Wagyu tartare with crispy crackers is enjoyable, with a slight spicy, herbal note and a nice contrast between creamy beef and crunchy base. Portion feels more like a tasting plate for the price point. One can only hope the egg yolk is pasteurised🤣 The Beef Tongue and Gribiche Sandwich is truly impressive and easily one of the best sandwiches you can find. A generous mound of unbelievably tender, thinly sliced beef tongue is cloaked in an exceptionally complex, herby gribiche. Once you start biting into those silky slivers, it’s impossible to stop. The highlight was the Lamb Saddle with Aubergine Pilaf—hearty, well-executed, and deeply satisfying. A comforting yet elegant dish that ends the savoury courses on a high note. Skipped dessert as we both unknowingly overate by the end 💫✨
