Jack's Place JEM

I ate at Jack's Place at different locations on average 2 to 3 times a year for many years. This was the 1st time I had such super salty lobster bisque. The broccoli, cauliflower & carrot were also noticeably salty. Vegetables should be naturally sweet. The steak and fresh oysters were good though. The staffs' attitude were good. Keep it up!

Jack’s Place brings back some nostalgic memories, as I used to visit it frequently during my younger days for their steak, which I remembered being pretty good. Over time, the standard dropped and I eventually stopped going—until recently, when my mum noticed their new Wild Wild West menu. With the reasonable pricing for steak, we decided to give it another go. We went for dinner at 6.30pm, and it was pretty empty, so there’s no need for a reservation. The steak is served on a hot iron plate, so I’d recommend ordering it medium rare—the heat continues to cook the meat even as you eat. The steak quality was decent, especially for the price point. The baked potato was slightly soggy on the skin, which was a little odd, and the butter with mustard sauce didn’t carry much flavour, but it wasn’t unpleasant either. Overall, Jack’s Place at JEM is a value-for-money option if you're craving steak without the premium pricing. I’ll definitely consider returning to try their lunch set next time.

Had a really wonderful dining experience at Jack’s Place Jem, all thanks to Shane! His service truly stood out — you can tell he has genuine passion for his work. He was proactive in attending to our needs, always one step ahead without being intrusive. Shane is incredibly friendly and approachable, which made us feel very comfortable throughout the meal. What impressed me most was how observant he was — he noticed the little details and made sure everything was just right for us. It’s clear that he truly puts the customers’ interests at heart. Service like this is rare these days, and Shane definitely made our visit extra special. Will definitely be back again! 👏✨

The service here was fantastic. So well taken care by Hanafiah, he is so great with kids of all ages. Really appreciate times like this amidst a busy restaurant. May all good things come your way, Hanafiah! The food was great as usual, and loved the baked potato. My son who's not a fan of potatoes, finished the whole potato by himself with topping of turkey bacon and sour cream. He's also singing praises about the staff in this outlet! Thank you for the great service, great food, and you've really gotten all the gem staffs for yourself at this outlet, Jack's Place!

Look - hear me out. Jacks Place, you come here not for some superior food to excite your palate, it’s nothing out of this world, but it has one thing most other restaurants lack - the nostalgia. If you’ve been living in Singapore for a few decades now, this will evoke a trove of memories, a blast from the past as everything - and I mean everything - feels like it teleported straight from 2006. Pretty sure even the hot plates used from their well-known sizzling plate dishes have done the rounds. So to say, come here if you want to feel like a kid again, but please don’t expect something out of the ordinary - probably the decor and setting is the only thing out of the ordinary here.

Came here for Mother Day meal as the initial planned restaurant has an insanely crazy queue. I would say Jack’s Place serves up decent quality meals but not to the extend of great or fantastic quality level. Everything feels just right but not overly excessive, a solid 4* I would say for the entire dining experience, atmosphere, service and etc.

The old school restaurants probably visited more by seniors coz that is exactlly what I see. The interior deco, ambience reminds myself of my younger days. Jack's Place have really been around for decades & I'm glad it still exist today. Serves great food & this has not changed over the years. Always love their set meals that is well budgeted to meet today's expensive Singapore. Am here for a Valentine's celebration with my wife. Thanks you, I had a great time.
