BRASEIRO SINGAPORE (NOVENA)

Starters are over-priced. $18.90 for onion soup, thin and watery with just a few specks of cheese. Up-size steak felt like a con-job. My 300gm looks smaller than my wife's 200gm. Fries are tiny shoe-string cuts and very short. Not satisfying at all. Salad came free of charge, but the half-hearted dressing tasted strange. And while we were eating, the servers were taking down paintings from the wall, wiping off the dust, and rehanging them. Another waitress was walking around with a bottle of disinfectant and spraying here and there. Not professional and not hygienic.

Tried their ribeye and tenderloin steaks with their free flow fries (upsizing them to the truffle oil and parmesan cheese toppings, which only applied for the first basket). Additionally the promo price for upsizing the steaks were only applicable for one order per table (and not obvious - only found out after asking the waiter). Steaks were decent & tasty. Fries and their red wine selection were great. Staff were quite busy or shorthanded- was tough to get the (2-3) servers attention as they were rushing between tables at 6.30-8pm weekend timings.

This place was understaffed. It was easy to put in our orders but it's hard to get their attention after that, especially when checking in on our orders that weren't coming. The first food item (soup) took 40 mins to arrive, the steaks came another 20 mins after. The steaks (ribeye) were really tough and the fries were soggy fry-ends. We checked with the staff if they had given us the wrong cut because there's way too much tendon for a ribeye, they said it was the correct cut and that they had recently changed supplier. We couldn't finish the food, took the photos when we were done eating. Ordered dessert as well, it was average but the free drink that was supposed to come with it didn't arrive until after we finished the dessert and wanted to leave. Not recommended until they change their meat supplier.

I wish I had read the low rating reviews before coming here. These steaks are the worst steaks we had in a very long time. As in the other reviews. The steak was tough, very chewy with tendons? and its hard to chew the meat apart. You would have better steaks at the western stalls in hawker centres or coffee shops. The salad was bitter, tasted of plastic and felt unwashed. There was only a few drops of vinegrette on it. This is the first time ever we did not finish our salad. Escargots were tasteless. The only item that was ok was the Roti. We had the promo meal for 2 together with the escargots and soup. The meal came up to be more than $170 but will be the worst value for monies meal I had in the past 5 years. Will never come back again. Service staff were ok though. Food is bad, so if you are coming be warned

Awesome food, awesome service, awesome background music. I guess it was okay 🤷🏽‍♂️ Jokes aside, the steaks were served at the desired doneness and while this may seem trivial, think about how many times you order steak, and they slice it up for you and it's cold when it arrives. This wasn't that 😁 In addition, the desserts were to die for. As someone who doesn't really fancy tiramisu, this was done to perfection. The staff were super attentive and present. They made sure my 1 year old son was comfortable and as my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and my birthday, they made sure to make us feel extra special. But tbh, I think they were attentive to all the guests around us without hovering so that takes some skill; kudos to the staff and chef!

The steak took 20-25 minutes to arrive after ordering. The fries and salad took 35-40 minutes to arrive after ordering. Other tables waited for same or longer periods. The probably part time female staff provided one of the worse customer service experiences I’ve had the unfortunate luck of experiencing in awhile. Requests had to be made multiple times before it was fulfilled. My medium rare steak was overcooked. The salad dressing was almost as sour as pure lemon juice. The fries were over fried and I could tell the frying oil was not fresh / extremely overused. Overrated place, average food, terrible service.

We arrived at 6pm and the restaurant was completely empty. The service staff saw us but didn’t welcome us. We waited about 5 minutes before someone came to open the door. We were asked if we had a reservation — we didn’t — and were told we could only stay until 7.15pm. We waited almost 30 minutes for our steaks after ordering. We started with the escargot — the meat was cooked well but lacked flavour, and the bread wasn’t fresh. For the steaks, we ordered medium rare. Mine came closer to medium/medium well. My friend’s steak was medium rare on the first half but almost well done and dry on the other half. There was clearly inconsistency in the doneness and fire control, which was disappointing considering steak is the main highlight. By 6.45pm the restaurant was full, and only two staff members were managing the floor. They looked extremely flustered, and it was difficult to get their attention for our salads and free-flow fries. When we requested fries, we were told we had to give up our table as another group had arrived. I checked the time — it was only 6.50pm, well before the stated 7.15pm limit. Shortly after, the bill was brought to our table without asking whether we wanted anything else or if we were ready to pay — while we were still eating. That was extremely rude and unprofessional. We paid to dine comfortably, not to be rushed out. When we left, there wasn’t even a simple “thank you.” Steak: Good flavour but inconsistent doneness. Fries: First batch was cold and soggy. Second batch was fresh and delicious — unfortunately served when we were already being rushed. Lettuce bowl: Not fresh; dressing needs improvement (even if it’s free-flow, quality should still be maintained). Service: If walk-ins cannot be accommodated properly due to manpower or kitchen capacity, then don’t accept them. The issue wasn’t the time limit — it was the poor time management and lack of basic customer service. We might consider making a reservation next time… but honestly, I doubt there will be one. :(

I am uncertain if I went to the right place. So many good reviews. I never knew a rib eye steak can go so wrong. The doneness was right, we had 2 XL steaks medium rare. But it was so tasteless. Quite apart from the fact it was under seasoned, the meat had no flavour, no beefiness. I didn’t even mind that it came very charred and covered in a burnt to ashes sprig of rosemary (not in photo, the carcinogenic material was immediately scraped off). This poor cow died in vain. None of the salt grinders worked. The “to die for” fries - they were really not. Perhaps it was highly rated from a price point perspective, 400 grams is $44 with free flow fries and lettuce. But not much quality to this. Understaffed but the ladies really made an effort, so the stars are for them. Will not be returning unless there are massive improvements. I would prefer paying more for better quality. Waste of calories.
