Overall we had a pleasant experience. We arrived around 11:30am on a weekend and were glad to find that it wasn’t too crowded — there were still plenty of seats available. That said, reservations are also an option if you want to be safe. The dim sum was well done — served fresh and hot. Beyond dim sum, they also offer a good variety of Cantonese dishes. We especially enjoyed the roast meats, which were flavorful and satisfying. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a casual meal. The restaurant is spacious, comfortable, and the food quality is consistently good. A place that we visit often for Cantonese food.

Unfortunately, this is a childhood favourite thing that seems on the decline. I don't know if it is staffing issues. Service of food was erratic. One bowl of noodles came, the next was like 15 mins later etc. so if you come with kids, one kid would have almost finished and the other would be complaining about not having anything. The old menu items, like porridge and wanton noodles are still decent. I tried to order a wahdan hor fun which was poorly executed. Wok hei was almost non existent, no char on the noodle at all. Crystal Jade has always been able to charge a premium because of its service and consistent quality. Seems like something has changed. I think the customers are also picking up on this. On a Sunday at around 7pm. The restaurant still has many empty tables. I remember in years gone by, having to queue on weekends at peak times.

Crystal Jade: famous local brand. Date & time: 1 Feb 2025, lunch. Dish ordered: 4 dim sum, seafood soup, roasted meat plater, chinese spinach & Ee-Fu noodle. Bill total: 169.55 (including 14.14 Service Charge & 14.00 GST) The food: 1. Soup served first, follow by noodle, and spinach. the appetizer served the last, not sure if the kitchen or the waiter control the sequence. 2. The seafood soup never served tgt with vinegar. 3. the Dim Sum except Siew Mai, the rest all skin broken. When those Dim Sum served, there is already no steam. 4. Spinach we already request less oil, still oily. The shrimp shall be present on top of the spinach, but served all at below. 5. The seafood dumpling is smelly, not fresh. The Service: 1. Nobody asked drinks order once we came to the table, understand order through QR code but still shall ask drinks first right? 1. Part time aunty waitress shows attitude to me and my Indian friend, by ignoring our request on the vinegar for the seafood soup. 2. Part time aunty literally throwing the Dim Sum steamer on our table. 3. Part time aunty no offering to potion our noodle, instead of providing service like making space on the table, part time aunty choose to squeeze the dishes from 1 side of the table only. 4. Part time aunty leaves our bill click board half inside our table half outside our table, just right beside my arm. 5. Part time aunty refuse to explain that there is no chili sauce for Dim Sum but ask us to use chili oil on the table, she just said there is chili and run away, amazing service awareness. 6. Full time waitress never come back to us after we waved our hand for service, one is asking for chili, another is asking for take away, they copy it but forgot us, we have to keep waving our hand to get service. 7. I literally heard 1 of the full time waitress said: "that Korean is Sohai" in mandarin. 8. There is no change of my bone plate, from above u can tell that I got no service at all in this restaurant, even with 14.14 SGD service charge. Amazing experience for me to try this brand the 1st time, not going anymore. My money is hard earned, money not falling from sky. I work part time in 御宝轩 & Putien, much more better standard compare with Crystal Jade.

Great variety and comforting dimsum dishes in a heartland mall with good accessibility. I'm impressed by their radish cake - it was moist savoury and steamed excellent. The glutinous rice wrapped in pandan leaf was damn good too - the pandan flavors infused into the starchy and savory rice with that delicious braised sauce, definitely a must get every time! The porridge and fried rice was okay.

Had a fantastic meal with friends at Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen in Clementi Mall. This place consistently delivers high-quality, comforting Cantonese dishes, and this visit was no exception. Everything we ordered was well-executed and delicious. Scallion Oil Noodles ($5.80) & Roasted Honey BBQ Pork ($14.80): I opted for the simple Scallion Oil Noodles, paired with a side of their signature Char Siew. The noodles had a wonderful texture – crispy, springy and cooked just right, coated in fragrant scallion oil. They were the perfect base for the Roasted Honey BBQ Pork, which was beautifully caramelized, tender, and had a lovely balance of sweet and savoury flavours. A classic combination done perfectly. Shrimp Roe Prawn Paste Noodles ($13.80): My friend had this, and it looked fantastic. The thin egg noodles were topped generously with shrimp roe and bouncy prawn paste balls. They commented on how good the noodle texture was, and thoroughly enjoyed the umami flavours. Pumpkin & Yam Porridge with Egg: Another friend ordered this comforting porridge. It looked smooth and creamy, with a lovely golden hue from the pumpkin, studded with yam cubes and topped with youtiao and egg. A very satisfying choice. Seafood Hor Fun: This classic dish looked hearty and delicious, with broad rice noodles smothered in a silky egg gravy and topped with fresh prawns and other seafood. It received positive feedback from our friend. XO Carrot Cake (to share): We shared this popular dish, and it was a great addition. The carrot cake cubes were nicely stir-fried with egg, beansprouts, and that signature savoury kick from the XO sauce. Overall, every dish hit the mark. The quality is consistently high, especially the texture of the noodles and the execution of classic dishes like the char siew and hor fun. For a reliable and delicious Hong Kong-style meal, Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen remains a top choice. An easy 5 stars!

I visited Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen at Clementi Mall recently. To get a table, I had to scan a QR code and fill in a web form just to get a queue number, which felt a bit cumbersome. The food was honestly just average. I was previously a fan of Crystal Jade for years, but I feel the quality has gone downhill. The dim sum tasted like reheated frozen items, the noodles were slightly overcooked and lacked the usual springy texture, and the porridge was overly starchy. It also took quite a while for our food to be served, which was disappointing. What made the experience more uncomfortable was witnessing a heated argument between the cleaning and service staff right in the middle of the restaurant — definitely not something diners want to see. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for. It’s still a decent option if you’re already in the mall, but expectations should be managed.

Crystal Jade serves some amazing dim sum however I am going to review some other options that I had tried for dinner. One of my comfort food favorites is their Shredded Meat Century Egg Congee. The rice of the congee is cooked to a perfect smooth consistency and garnished with chunks of century egg and shredded pork. The Braised Ee-Fu Noodles with assorted mushrooms is so simple yet so tasty and has a lovely flavor. The lightly seasoned noodles blends perfectly with the umami flavors of the assorted mushrooms. The Poached White Cabbage with Fish Curd in a Superior Broth might not be much to look at but the broth really brings the vegetables and fish curd together. The roast meat platter is decent although the quantity might not make this great value. The Roast Honey BBQ pork is moist and has a lovely char. The Crispy Pork Belly has a beautiful crunch and is not overly fatty. There is a house special for an extra $3 that comes with more fat to meat. Service is efficient and the staff were very helpful.
