I’ve been eating here since I was 16, so this was honestly really disappointing. The food quality seems to have dropped a lot — my usual order wasn’t nice at all and I had to force myself to finish it because I was so hungry. My chicken was so burnt too. The soy sauce chicken also wasn’t good. On top of that, my mom waited over 30 minutes for her curry chicken while we were just sitting there getting more and more impatient. The service experience made the whole visit even worse. Really sad because this used to be one of my go-to places. Don’t think i will be dinning here ever again.

Xin Wang never misses when I need a solid HK cafe fix. The yuan yang in a metal mug hits different. nostalgic and comforting every single time. French toast is crispy on the outside, not too jelak, exactly how it should be. Service is quick even when it gets busy, and the menu has enough variety that everyone in the group finds something. Great spot to chill and catch up with friends, especially since some outlets run 24 hours. Always a go-to

Dropped by this cafe and ordered a few dishes to try. Service here was actually pretty solid, staff were attentive and everything came out quite quickly, which made the whole experience quite smooth. Food wise, it was generally a nice meal. The creamy pasta was a bit on the bland side, could have had more flavour, but still alright overall. Only thing is the noodle portion felt quite small for the price, which is slightly on the higher side, so it didn’t feel very worth it. Still, a decent place to check out, especially for the service. Just don’t expect big portions.

I had an excellent meal at Xing Wang Northpoint recently with my family, and I have to say the food and service really stood out. The dishes were flavorful, fresh, and comforting—exactly the kind of hearty Hong Kong–style cuisine I was craving. Everything came out quickly, and the portions were generous too. A special shout-out to Daniel, the friendly manager who made the experience even better. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made us feel very welcomed. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal. Overall, delicious food, a cosy atmosphere, and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back—and recommending Xing Wang to friends! 🍜✨

Ever since I had food poisoning last year after eating the curry chicken at their Novena branch, I honestly didn’t have the courage to step into XW again. However, tonight most places at Northpoint were packed, and since my mum needed to take her insulin soon, I decided to give XW another try. Unfortunately, I regretted that decision. At first, things seemed fine — the food was served quite quickly, except they forgot my rice and I had to remind the staff twice. Out of all the dishes, only the fried luncheon sticks and fried egg were served hot; the rest were just warm. The fried egg was tasteless — my daughter was looking forward to it but refused to eat after her second bite. Still, I told myself it’s okay since the stir-fried French beans were already quite salty, so a bland dish wasn’t the worst thing. The spinach, although only warm (not hot), was actually quite nice — until I found a strand of curly hair in it. It was clearly not a head hair, which made it extremely disgusting. I was furious, but since my mum’s blood sugar was low and we were all very hungry, I decided to quietly wrap the hair in tissues so our appetites wouldn’t be affected. The only saving grace was the dessert — the French toast ice cream, which was actually quite good. I still regret not taking a photo of the hair, but my daughter told me to just let it go. After our meal, I asked one of the staff members (a man with long oily hair) to serve our dessert, but I caught him scratching his armpit. Now I’m wondering whether the curly hair came from him or someone in the kitchen. However, the disappointment didn’t end there. When I went to the counter to pay, I took out cash, but the manager (named Daniel) gestured for me to tap my card on the terminal without even asking how I wanted to pay. When I told him I was paying in cash, he just took it without a word. It’s basic customer service to ask for the payment mode first — something so simple yet overlooked. I paid about $58, and honestly, it was not worth it at all. The hygiene, food quality, and service were all disappointing. I used to be a regular customer, but not anymore. The food doesn’t even taste authentically Hong Kong-style these days. No more next time.

It has been a while since I dined in Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. The taste of the food was stilll the same. I always fancy the XO fried rice. I do not remember that it was topped with vegetables in the past. It is great to have it now. My son ate the chicken Maggie Mee even though I told him not to order it as it was easy to cook at home. When the food arrived, he said that it was different as there was a lot of ingredients. There was a huge serving of chicken which three of us shared, and we did not manage to finish too. Overall, the price is still considered reasonable.

Visited Xing Wang Northpoint and had such a pleasant dining experience. The food was delicious—simple, comforting, and full of flavour. We especially enjoyed how consistent the quality was, and everything was served hot and nicely prepared. We also want to thank Daniel, the manager, for his warm and friendly service. He checked in on us with a genuine smile and made sure we had everything we needed. Little touches like that make a big difference. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for good food and great service. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

After many years away from Xin Wang, I decided to drop by and see if anything had changed. Unfortunately, the prices remain on the high side for a casual dining spot. The food was slightly below average in taste, and the portions felt rather small for us. It took about 20–30 minutes for the dishes to be served. The most disappointing part was my fried kway teow — they completely forgot to season it with salt, leaving it utterly bland. After waiting so long, I didn’t bother asking for a replacement. Overall, nothing stood out. I could have easily chosen a better casual dining option elsewhere.
