Nice spot with a relaxed night market vibe, cosy and easy to settle into. We normally frequent the Woodlands outlet, but this Yishun branch is more convenient for us and has a slightly cosier feel — good to have both options depending on where we are. Had the Tainan danzai noodles with Guan Miao noodles, which were nicely springy and held up well in the broth. The braised pork rice was simple and satisfying alongside the salt pepper chicken & tempura ~ The Yilan peanut ice cream roll was the highlight & my personal favourite - peanut is shaved fresh upon order and layered quite generously over the ice cream, giving a good mix of cold and nutty in every bite. Overall, a reliable Taiwanese fix.

Ah Zhong Mian Xian (阿宗麵線) - Northpoint City Donkey and I were cycling from Punggol towards Yishun this evening and decided to stop at Northpoint City for dinner. After looking through the various eateries in the basement we were drawn to this establishment because they feature Ah Zhong Mian Xian. The name brought back fond memories of our travels in Taiwan. We were curious if this was a direct branch of the original shop in Taiwan but upon speaking with the staff we learned the head chef completed his apprenticeship there. He has since brought those specialised culinary techniques to Singapore and the authenticity is clear in every dish. The service we received was exemplary. The floor staff were proactive and attentive and even helped us find a suitable spot to park our bicycles. Throughout our meal they were observant and prompt attending to our table for drink top ups and making sure all our needs were met without us having to ask. We tried several dishes during our visit. - Signature Mee Sua: This came piping hot. I found the authentic flavour of the intestines slightly overwhelming but Donkey thought they were meticulously cleaned and well prepared. It is not an exact copy of the Taiwan original but it is an impressively close tribute. - Braised Meat Rice: A classic dish executed beautifully with a rich savoury finish. - Deep Fried Sea Bass with Garlic: We noticed a neighbouring table enjoying this dish and asked for their opinion. They said it was worth trying and they were correct. The fish was seasoned perfectly with sea salt and garlic then deep fried until wonderfully crispy. I was full of praise for it and has already said she will return specifically for this dish. - Refreshments: The Black Sugar Winter Melon Tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. I commented that the Taro Ball Milk Tea was excellent especially the QQ chewy texture of the taro balls. Given the restaurant is located in a major shopping centre we found the pricing very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes provided. It is a fantastic spot for authentic Taiwanese comfort food paired with some of the best service we have experienced in the area. We will certainly be returning after our future rides. Tried Feng Food recently and honestly didn’t expect much, but it turned out really solid. The Taiwanese garlic sausage was super juicy and flavorful, and the dry noodles were a standout, really well seasoned and generous with both minced and chunky meat. The braised beef noodle soup also came with a lot of beef, though the soup leans slightly on the saltier side. The peanut ice cream roll was probably my favourite, hard to find a good one in Singapore and this one really hit. Drinks were decent too, especially the taro ball milk tea with lots of toppings, and the aiyu jelly was refreshing. Overall, comforting Taiwanese food with good portions would come back again.

This is kids friendly as well! - 虾仁面线 Shrimp Meesua – Comfort in a bowl! Silky smooth noodles with plump, fresh shrimp. Its also not too salty! This one is super popular for the kids and adutlt too! The portion are huge as well! 🍗 日出鸡排饭 Sunrise Crispy Chicken Cutlet Rice – Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The golden crust = heaven! Pair with 卤肉饭，this is damm shiok! The portion are huge too! Comes with one sunny side up! 🥢 三杯豆腐 Three Cups Tofu – Aromatic basil and soy glaze give this tofu a rich, savory punch. Goes super well with white rice! 🧋 黑糖焦糖奶茶 Brown Sugar Caramel Pearl Milk Tea – cant go wrong with milk tea! 🍲 四神排骨汤 Chinese Four Herb Pork Rib Soup – THIS IS MY FAVOURITE! not only its nourishing , the pork ribs are so so tender! Just use chopstick to pull off the meat! I love it so much that I da bao extra bowl for next day lunch! And its still taste amazing! It also comes with this dang gui jiu, add a bit to elevate the taste but not too much okie cos it will become bitter.. I think without it taste amazing! 🔥 Verdict: Taiwan never disappoints when it comes to food – bold flavors, hearty comfort dishes, and soups you can’t stop sipping!

We’ve tried Feng Food a few years ago and this time round, we are back to try more dishes! Happy to also report that quality and standards have remained and we were impressed by the spread 😋 🥦 菌菇帝皇苗 Di Huang Miao with Shrooms Stir Fried ($12): We loved this dish as it was not too salty and we could taste the freshness of the vegetables. A good balance to the meal. 🥟 虾肉馄饨汤Shrimp & Pork Wanton Soup ($7.90): There were 6 large and juicy wantons with fresh shrimp filling. Super yummy! 🍚 日出卤肉饭 Sunrise Braised Meat Rice ($11.60): Loved the braised meat rice here and the taste reminded us of Taiwan. The portion was large and there were 2 eggs inside too 🤩 🍜 台湾葱烧牛肉汤面(关庙面) Signature Taiwanese Braised Beef Noodles ($15.70): Broth was comforting and had a tinge of spice which really brought out the flavours. Loved the noodles too - similar to knife cut noodles and had a nice chewy texture. 🍹 柠檬红茶 Lemon Tea ($3.90) & 洛神花茶 Taiwanese Roselle ($3.60): Really liked the taste of roselle as it was unique and lemon tea was a sure win too. Happy lunar new year everyone! Was busy over the past few days hence didnt managed to post anything recently. Ok we came across this feng food at northpoint city. The food looks decent hence we visited the stall. Ordered the chicken cutlet fried rice, mee sua and lu rou fan since these are the authentic taiwanese food. The chicken cutlet is not bad. Fried rice kind of plain but if you put some vinegar in, it would be nicer. Mee sua with intestines are good. One of the best in the country i must say. Lu rou fan can be better I think. No service charge but the service was not bad. They even greeted us good bye when we left, so who says no service charge means no service? It is certainly worth your visit.
