Ive been here on multiple occasions, and it is equally busy on the weekends and weekdays. Weekdays, they have lunch promo where you get free set meal upgrade that comes with garlic bread, choice of minestrone/mushroom soup and drink (iced lemon tea, tea, coffee, water). Their main dishes are wide, ranging from their popular chicken chargrilled options, steak, fish (dory, salmon, seabass), pastas, rosti, and appetisers. I always go for their western bbq chicken that comes with two sides of your choice (veggie, baked potato, fries, coleslaw, onion rings). The cook on their chicken is pretty good as the meat is still soft, juicy and has that chargrilled taste to it. They also provide heinz tomato and chilli sauce. Overall, it costs me around 13.70 for a weekday lunch and it is really packed with students and adults alike every day.

If you are looking for that nostalgic, "old-school" Western steakhouse vibe without the hefty price tag of a high-end grill, Buddy Hoagies at Waterway Point is a reliable go-to. It sits comfortably in that sweet spot between fast-food Western and premium dining. -The Food Highlights The Steaks: Their Ribeye and Sirloin are the stars. While you shouldn’t expect Wagyu-level marbling, the cuts are generous for the price. They generally hit the requested doneness (Medium Rare is usually spot on) and come with a choice of classic sauces like Black Pepper or Mushroom. -The Sides: This is where Buddy Hoagies shines. Unlike many places that give you generic fries, their Baked Potato (with sour cream and bacon bits) and Rosti are excellent upgrades. -Grilled Chicken & Fish: For those not into red meat, the Black Pepper Chicken is juicy and charred well, and the Battered Fish is a hit with kids. -The Set Meal: This is the best value. For a small top-up, you get a soup of the day, garlic bread, and a drink. The garlic bread is often cited as a fan favorite—thick, buttery, and soft. Consistent Quality &. Comfort food. It’s the perfect spot for a "treat yourself" meal that won't break the bank.

What we had: 1. Country Fried Chicken ($11.50) + Set Meal - Mushroom Soup & Home-Brewed Ice Tea ($4.90) Visual: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Generous portion of fries, decent-sized fried chicken, and a standard coleslaw. The chicken meat was quite bland — it didn’t seem to be seasoned at all; just plainly fried. I had to rely heavily on chili and tomato sauce to finish it. There are definitely tastier fried chicken options out there. Mushroom soup was surprisingly decent — I expected something overly creamy or thick, but it had a nice balance. Not too salty, and it didn’t taste like the usual canned variety (though I can’t say for sure). Soup came with Garlic bread too. Iced tea came with a slice of lemon. 2. Buddy's Mixed Grill ($17.90) + Ice Latte ($4.90) Visual: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Generous portion of fries, and the chicken chop was nicely grilled. The pork loin really surprised me — tender and juicy, which isn’t easy to pull off! Sausage reminded me of Johnsonville, just a bit less salty — still tasty. As for the iced latte — it’s just your standard iced latte. Chill vibes, but could’ve been cooler inside — felt like the air-conditioning wasn’t really doing its job.

Had the chargrilled chicken with mushroom sauce, along with baked potato and hot veggies. The chicken was disappointing—very thin, and the mushroom sauce lacked flavour and was quite watery. I added the $4.90 set and chose the mushroom soup, which ended up being the best part of the meal. The garlic bread was another letdown as it wasn’t toasted, unlike what you’d expect from most western eateries. The sirloin was decent.

First time trying after so long. Well I must say it’s truly value for money. Not in a bad way, I need to explain. For 11.90 the chicken cutlet was ample & reasonably sized. For the price you pay, you really get decent size potions. And the taste ain’t bad either. And the most surprising find ? TIRAMISU, not bad. In fact much better than many places we’ve tried. And it’s only 7.90 ? It’s a steal. Highly recommended.
