Delish Greek food, with great service and ambience First time at Blu. Was there for a celebratory dinner. And being first timer, we read the reviews and played it safe by ordering the popular ones - the Paidakia (lamb chops), fried calamari, Kleftiko (lamb shank), lamb and beef moussaka, lamb meatballs, the 3-dip platter, and towards the end, got a little bit adventurous, the Koulouri (sesame ring bread), and baklava. Food was good! Delish. My fav would be the Paidakia, lamb meatballs with harisa base, the dips and Koulouri. The mediu. Paidakia is done to perfection... Smoky crustiness on the outside , tender and juicy inside. Meatballs were yummy, again I can taste the smokiness from the grill and the tender minced lamb meats inside. When paired with the slightly spicy harisa and tangy yoghurt, it gave a savory, meaty, tangy, spicy explosion with each mouthful. The freshly baked Koulouri went so well with the dips and moussaka. The moussaka were good, but can be quite heavy on the belly... They were both cheesy, creamy rich and umamiful. I prefer the lamb over the beef, not by much, but I have got to say, the Greeks got their lambs dishes right! Service was excellent and attentive. And ambience at Dempsey, with the high ceiling, decor and mood lighting made for nice meal with great company and conversations. Why not 5 stars, you may ask? Despite the delish meal, the satisfaction at the end of it... Was just missing something... It was good, food and drinks wise... But I can't help feeling it's over priced... Even at Dempsey. Probably a place for special occasions only or if you want to impress someone based on the price point.
