Um Yong Baek

My first time here and was hosted by Lee who cooked our diced ribeye and pork belly for us. My partner and I were truly impressed by his service and the quality of meat served here. Lee cooked our meat and taught us different ways to have it, paired them with so many side dishes and seasonings. Every piece of meat tasted different (even tho they r the same, idk how else to tell u, just come and try yourselves bah). We also ordered sundubu and cold noodles which were also veryyyyyy yummy:))) Will def be back and highly recommend this place.

Wonderful! Our first time here and we were so lucky to have Thida assisting us during dinner. She was super informative ! And she provided great recommendations on the sauces to pair whilst explaining the variety of meats. I highly highly recommend asking for her if you come here. Food was really good as well! The meat was well grilled, and the soup (we had doenjang jjigae) was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend coming here :)

Beside serving delicious food, paying attention to the overall experience would be the highlight. Staff were attentive throughout, tables were cleared immediately, and the best part would the suction hood that kept the place clean and diners leaving the restaurant not smelling like a walking bbq. Famous for Korean pork soup by day and BBQ by night, Un-Yong-Baek is a spot even Koreans living locally love to patronise. Tried both the UYB Clear Daejigukbab and UYB Thick Daejigukbab — comforting pork broths served with beautifully tender pork and rice, but with very different personalities. The Clear version has a more pronounced pork flavour — sharper and more savoury, yet finishing remarkably clean. The Thick version is creamier and more collagen-rich, with a fuller body and a rounded, lingering richness. Two different styles, both equally enjoyable. It really comes down to whether you prefer your pork broth clean and intense or creamy and rich.

Great overall. The signature pork soup (Dwaeji Gukbap) stands out for its flavor, though the dish could be improved if the menu specified the exact meat cuts used in each bowl (such as pork belly vs. collar).Soup servings are somewhat light—filling only about two-thirds of the bowl—and free soup refills are not offered. Traditional Korean-style seating is available, which requires removing your shoes before sitting. The restaurant gets exceptionally crowded; making reservations in advance is highly recommended to avoid long wait times

Had an amazing dinner here! Meat was all very fresh and perfectly grilled. Our server was Lee and he did the grilling perfectly, he also guided us on different sauces/combos to go with the meats and they all tasted wonderful. We initially wanted to order 1 rice for every person (we had 7pax) but the servers there advised us we didn’t need that much rice and thankfully they did that bec we were really full after all that pork😹 Needless to say it was a great experience!! Would recommend if you’re a huge meatlover!

Having people cook for you is always good for a meal. While that is expected for KBBQ, we weren't expecting plating service 🤣 It was nice being introduced to a few ways to taste and pair the meats up with, which were generally well cooked. Liked the collar and shoulder most. Ordered the platter for 3, one sundubu jiggae side, and rice. Just about right for 3 average eaters! I forgot the name of this sardine dish/ dip but that was the best! Bookings required.

Had amazing dinner experience, especially with the assistance of Lee who helped us as a first timer here. He explained every options on how to eat, and we enjoy the combinations. Meat quality here meet our expectations. One of the best.
