Namu Bulgogi (Northpoint City)

My first time visit here. We came after lunch hours ( not many customers) ; just great so that we can sit,enjoy and savour our food. We ordered set meal for 2 and it was plenty. The chicken meat was tender and juicy, with a hint of charredness. The cheese was still creamy even though the dish has cooled down .The banchan is free flow. Liying was a great help too. Always on her feet,ready to help customers with their needs. Thanks a bunch, will certainly come gain with my makan legs.. NAMU BULGOGI NORTHPOINTCITY

The food is great! Their samgyetang and tteokbokki were delicious. However, I wish they would bring back the Korean Oakwood fire tongdak-gu chicken, especially the mala rose cream at Northpoint. That was amazing! Just be mindful that the seating is quite close, so you might hear each other’s conversations.

Ordered three dishes and all of them were low-no quality. “Oakwood smoke grill”? More like a marketing gimmick. ZERO oakwood aroma or flavour. The entire dining experience felt like a waste of money and EXPENSIVE! Prime ribeye: The beef quality was worse than a typical coffeeshop western stall. It came out pale, soggy, and unappetizing. I ordered the original, yet it was clearly heavily marinated or treated with tenderizer. The texture was mushy and unpleasant, the worst steaks I’ve had. Chicken chop: Over-marinated, overly sweet, and dry. The seasoning completely overpowered whatever natural flavour the meat should have had. Tuna sundubu: A simple dish turned into a disaster. There was a thick layer of oil on top, making the broth almost undrinkable. The clams were tiny, barely bigger than a kid's pinky fingernail. Sides were mediocre at best. The sweet potato salad tasted off, and the complimentary kimchi was overly salty. The supervisor did check in during payment, and I only mentioned the beef as I just wanted to leave, the meal had already ruined the mood. They offered 20% off the bill. Appreciate the gesture (my gesture by giving 2-star service), but it doesn’t change the overall experience. Would not return. Don’t be too quick to trust the high ratings. Service & hygiene also need attention. When setting up the table, there was visible liquid/oil on the chair. Instead of properly cleaning it, the staff briefly swiped it with their hand, leaving residue behind. That’s not acceptable.

First time trying this outlet with my family. I didn't have much expectation as I am not very hungry. The order process is a breeze using mobile with QR scanning. Oakwood fire grilled chicken is the specialty here. I like the food presentation when they are served. Quite appealing. I ordered half chicken and also a chicken chop set. One with Jjajang flavor (black bean sauce) and the other one with spicy gochujang sauce. Both are quite salty. Advice to new patrons, use the sauce sparingly. The chicken served match very well with these sauces though. I prefer the spicy sauce. I think it worths to try if you have no idea what to eat at NorthPoint City. Give it a chance.

The food tastes ok but portion a bit small. Service is strange. Maybe because they are too busy. Not worth the 10% service fee which most restaurants just charge indiscriminately without feeling the need to earn it. The restaurant is very warm, I was sweating the second I sat down. Overall, fair value for money but nothing mind-blowing. 2nd visit: the server flung / slid a bowl of food across the table and some contents spilt out. I know the crew can be busy and tired and stressed most times and that sometimes we all take shortcuts but it was still a strange and unusual experience and incident nonetheless.

Nice food and great service! I especially liked the radish side dish — it was very refreshing and flavorful. The chicken chop with corn cheese was delicious and cooked perfectly. The seafood sundubu was also excellent, packed with a variety of seafood including prawns, mussels, octopus, and clams. The soup was rich, comforting, and full of flavor.

Food is great and comforting packed with umami flavours! We asked to packed rice and they sweetly packed into nice plastic containers even though we said it’s fine to just put in plastic. Service was nice and warm.

Amazing food, great service from the team, manager and crew all attentive and responsive.. whole team came together to check on the name of ingredients when my sister got curious. Belly happy 😃
