Sunny Korean Cuisine at West Coast Plaza is one of those old-school, dependable places that has been around for years. It is not authentic Korean food, more Chinese-Korean style, but that is also why many people like it — simple, comforting and affordable. From the photos, the food is straightforward but satisfying, with rice, salmon, fried ebi, vegetables and sides that make the meal feel complete. Hot tea is provided, the cutlery is clean and sanitised, and the place is always bustling, which says a lot. What impressed me most is the value. We ordered 2 Salmon with Fried Ebi sets, 1 Fish Fillet Teriyaki set and 1 Kimchi Pancake, and the bill came up to only $26 for our family of 5. We are small eaters, but still, that is really value for money these days. They also have a $29.90 hotpot set for 2 pax, which is quite a good deal also. Not fancy or Michelin standard, but steady, filling and wallet-friendly. Sometimes really no need so atas one — just want a decent meal that does not burn a hole in the pocket, can already !!

steamboat $9.90 + chawanmushi $1. the lady at the counter didn’t bother taking my order while i was just standing there, she was plainly using her phone, so i decided to use the online kiosk instead. this same lady helped everyone else carry their food to the table which is above and beyond normal service i presume, but for mine she just left it there for me to collect and couldn’t be bothered. i wasn’t expecting her to do anything, but the whole tray was indeed heavy, and it seemed weird to me that she was serving everyone else but me. she proceeded to even give stares and a certain look of entitlement. when serving the customer beside my table (when she very well knew that she did not serve me), glared and even bumped into a chair then walked off proudly. i’m not asking for much, i just wanted to eat a meal but this service ruined everything — worst experience i had 😀 the chawanmushi was super diluted and the steamboat from vegetables to chicken, all felt that there was something like egg shells inside. not a pleasant experience and will never be coming back again. 0/10.

Was there on a Sunday before 5pm for early dinner, place was relatively empty. Food was ordered via kiosk at entrance, they were ready within 5mins. Hot and cold Tea is available via self service. Price has gone up a little over the years but overall good experience at this restaurant.

It's a good budget Korean/Japanese restaurant. Not meant to be fancy. Just good value. I really enjoy the beef. The salmon is OK but don't expect big pieces for the price. The Kimchi is exceptional and the best deal that I've ever seen.

Have not been to this mall for a long time. Was looking for lunch and there really isn't much options in this mall. I thought quite a few people queuing for this so I take a chance and give it a try. Immediate regret. The lady at the cashier has terrible attitude. She look like everyone owns her and I took a while to collect my order. And she gave me a dead stare. There were flies flying around the table as well. The metal spoon have stains on it, I took a 2nd one and it's still the same. The chicken is blend and the cabbages at the bottom are not cooked entirely. Poor service, poor quality food. Expensive as well. Highly don't recommend.

At this price point, which is lower than most food courts, the food is decent. There is aircon and the seating more spacious than food courts. The portion of hotplate ($7) pork is quite good (again, at this price point). The porridge ($6) is tasty but i wish it was hotter. Hotpot ($9.90) is ok. Even has foc free flow tea.

Good and consistent food in a place that has been around for many years, worth for the price and will come back again
