A delightful Korean dining experience at Daebak Korean Restaurant @Tai Seng on Harvey Road! If you're craving authentic Korean comfort food, this is definitely a place worth visiting. The Crispy Seafood Pancake was perfectly golden on the outside while remaining soft and flavourful inside, generously filled with fresh seafood. The Army Stew was hearty and satisfying, with a rich, savoury broth packed with ingredients that brought warmth and comfort in every spoonful. One of the highlights of the meal was the BBQ Pork Belly served with fresh lettuce wraps. The pork belly was well-grilled, juicy, and incredibly delicious when paired with the crisp lettuce and accompanying condiments, creating the perfect balance of flavours and textures. The restaurant offers a cosy atmosphere and authentic Korean flavours that make you feel like you're enjoying a meal in Korea itself. A great spot for family gatherings, casual meals with friends, or anyone looking to satisfy their Korean food cravings.

Decided to write this review as my husband wants to support the restaurant in reply to the 1 star review made by L** on Mother's Day. Managed to get a table via Whatsapp reservation on Mother's Day itself for 2A1C. Very lucky! We are new to the neighbourhood and decided to check it out as I was craving for a hot bowl of Kimchi soup! The restaurant was very welcoming to my toddler and food was served promptly. Warm service, delicious food. A hidden gem! We were in the restaurant when the issue happened - a large group of youngsters came in around 6:30pm-ish and insist to wait for a table. The staff (who was never rude) informed the tables were reserved from 7pm. No one can serve such a large group within 30mins or less. My husband was just seated near the door during this commotion and found it ridiculous that the group is making a big fuss. Infact the girl of the group was the one being rude to the staff. We are not shaming anyone, we just want to share our view of what happened and hope people will not judge the restaurant based on a single-sided review. Support service workers. We will continue to patronize Daebak!

The Korean boss is very stingy. When me and my colleague asked for a refill but the Korean boss told us he has gave us a big share. The big share wasn’t big enough for all 8 paxs. If you think of grabbing better Korean food, go elsewhere which I think it’s more worthy. Not worth coming

Great atmosphere and delicious food. The BBQ pork set came with sides, which include omelettes, potato and kimchi. Their kimchi is very fresh. As for the mains, the BBQ pork were soft and tender. They were marinated well too. Their gojuchang sauce were authentic. meal is at about $15 net with drinks included. Definitely recommend to others.

Cozy space nested in between all the industrial buildings - not much road parking outside btw (esp during peak hours) Food 🥘 : Ordered the beef soup, beef was a little tough but the soup was hearty. Tho nothing special but it helped warm me up on a rainy day! Kimchi is not to my liking (it has some ginger in it if i’m not wrong) But i really like the fishcake kimchi? Service 🤵🏻: Staff were friendly and food came out relatively fast. Atmosphere 🫧: Very comfortable and bright, there’s a loft looking section that customers can go up to sit but it’s probably sitting on the floor like korean style kind of dining. Overall: Comfortable! food is okay!

Located within an industrial commercial cluster, on the ground floor of a commercial building. Simple menu items, neat clean dining area, its a good place for a quick bite or discussion. Since ordering is thru QR menu, there was hardly any interactions with their service crew ... we were left alone from start to end ... which maybe quite good if there is a serious discussion. I felt the service Staffs could have been more hospitable, greet customers with a happy smile ... and not just mumble the Korean welcome words .... let's see if this improves if I visit again. The food was above-average and reasonably priced. Car park is limited along the road, but there is a big multi-storey car park in the same building.

I was excited to try this restaurant after seeing the 4.7 rating. I ordered the Jajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce), but the first bite was disappointing — it tasted more like a mushroom black bean sauce 😫. I asked the server if this was a specific regional style from Korea, but he wasn’t sure. My friends enjoyed their dishes, but mine wasn’t for me, and I ended up eating more of the side dishes instead. The one thing I did like was the noodles — they were cooked perfectly with the QQ texture I enjoy. We were seated at the only mezzanine area, which was small and uncomfortable. We had to combine two low-height tables, and there were nine of us, including two children under eleven. I was also concerned about my friend who was seated close to the staircase — it didn’t feel very safe.

First time earlier for late lunch. Almost full house. Can totally understand why becuz the food is great! We all enjoyed our food! Free flow of sides but unfortunately when we wanted another pancake side, it’s OOS 😢we just had additional potatoes side & sweet corn side. I had seafood tofu stew & I enjoyed it! My gal had chicken tofu stew. Hubs had pork hotplate & the meat was so tender! My boy had beef radish soup & he enjoyed it. Staff were nice & friendly. Definitely will be back! Yums!!!! 😊😊😊be careful when making turns in the carpark, narrow. Weekends $3.20 per entry. There are road side lots but not many.
