Dropped by HoHo Korean Restaurant for a casual meal and I’d say it’s a decent spot for Korean food. The dishes here tasted pretty much like your typical Korean fare—nothing wildly unique, but comforting and familiar if you're craving something Korean. One thing I appreciated was the generous variety of side dishes, which is always a nice touch at Korean eateries. It adds a lot to the meal and gives you a good balance of flavors to go with your mains. Also the seafood pancake is pretty good given that it is pretty crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Furthermore there was a significant amount of seafood in the pancake I tried the garlic soy fried chicken, which was a little disappointing. The sauce was too watery and didn’t cling to the chicken well, and overall it lacked the punch of flavor I was expecting from a garlic soy dish. It wasn’t terrible, but definitely could’ve been better. That said, the rest of the food was decent and enjoyable. Nothing blew me away, but it still did the job of satisfying a Korean food craving without breaking the bank. Overall this place is a decent, no-frills place to get your Korean fix, especially if you’re not too picky and just want something familiar and filling.

Good value korean food with one of the best kimchis I’ve had in SG. Have been coming here regularly for 3 years for the hotplate chicken/ beef, stews and cold noodles. It is conveniently located in the HDB blocks just next to the carpark. They are very efficient. Food comes quickly and banchan almost immediately. Banchan is always good but sometimes the freshness of the beansprout and long beans can vary slightly. The staff are always friendly especially the man who seems to have gotten promoted over the years.

Visited this restaurant after read reviews of Korean restaurant in Clementi area. It was quite packed on weekday during dinner time, almost full house when we came. We had Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Seafood Sundubu Jjigae, Chadol Doenjang Soup. 6 kinds of Banchan (free refill) and complimentary water were quickly served after we ordered our food. Pork Bulgogi was nice, and meat was tender and fresh, no gamey smell. Sundubu Jjigae was good and flavourful, seafoody taste. Chadol Doenjang Soup was okay. Banchan provided were good, especially the Homemade Kimchi was very nice. Can refill as many as you want. On the other day we visited and we had the Original Korean Fried Chicken and Ttukbaegi Jjimdak. The fried chicken (original and soy) were good and fresh, crispy skin outside and still juicy inside. The chicken soup was nice and flavourful too, chicken was tender, and big portion. Good service and environment, friendly owner and staff.

This gem in Sunset Way is our all time favourite to go for authentic Korean family style food! I realise I haven’t done a review for them even though I have patronised them many times! The Kim family is definitely warm and their staff are really courteous and friendly! Sometimes they will throw in a free drink or two! Their die for food is definitely their potato pancake. Although it is expensive but I suppose there must be much work that go into the preparation of this dish! Everything on their menu is worth a try. But lately, the standard of their Doenjang (Soy based soup with beef brisket) has dropped, not as tasty as when they first started. However, we will still think of this place when we feel like eating Korean Food. 😅 There are both indoor and outdoor seating.

Went to this Korean restaurant for lunch on a weekday. It wasn’t crowded, and we got a table immediately. We ordered Mul-naengmyeon (물냉면, cold buckwheat noodles in icy broth, $16) and Haemul Pajeon (해물파전, seafood scallion pancake, $22). They served us 6 banchan (반찬) side dishes shortly after we ordered. The banchan included homemade kimchi (김치), fish cake, shredded potato, blanched broccoli, long beans, and seasoned bean sprouts. They were okay, not particularly memorable. The mul-naengmyeon was quite plain. The broth lacked the tangy, savoury depth that’s typical in Korea, and the potato noodles were slightly undercooked. In my opinion, it didn’t taste authentic having tried the real thing in Korea, this felt like a toned-down version adjusted for local preferences. The haemul pajeon had a decent amount of seafood, but only a few pieces of scallion, which made it feel less authentic as well. Traditionally, pajeon is packed with green onions that give it a distinctive flavour and texture, but this version leaned more towards a generic seafood pancake. Overall, the food seems localised to suit the local palate. While the service was efficient and the environment was comfortable for a weekday lunch, those looking for a more authentic Korean taste may find it lacking. Found a gem in Sunset Way! Always thought Sunset Way is a sleepy, sunsetting kinda place but turns out it’s low-key a café and foodie haven! I tried Ho Ho Korean Restaurant for the first time. Our lunch foodies shared a Soondufu, Japchae, and Kimchi pancake. The portions were huge! I especially loved their Banchan cos they served long beans, which I’ve not seen at other Korean restaurants before. If you are a seafood lover, you would be thrilled with the shellfish, clams and prawns in the soup. We thought the Japchae could be better, the Kimchi pancake tasted good! If you are like me who craves for chicken soup on rainy days then you got to order the nourishing ginseng chicken soup made with glutinous rice and red dates to warm you up right away! Love the tender fowl and light, tasty broth that does not have a strong ginseng taste. Another popular staple food to enjoy on wet weather is bibimbap. It comes with a raw egg and serves in a sizzling hot stone bowl. Mix the spicy fermented paste with the rice, meat, bean sprouts, mushrooms, carrot and cucumber for a fulfilling meal. We ask for additional serving of gochujang paste for a bolder, spicy umami flavour! 😋

I had a fantastic dinner at Hoho Korean Restaurant last night, and I can't recommend it enough! I ordered the kimchi pancake and the ginseng chicken soup, both of which were delicious and authentically Korean. The kimchi pancake was perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavor, making it a delightful appetizer. The ginseng chicken soup was incredibly comforting, featuring tender chicken in a rich, flavorful broth that warmed me right up. One of the highlights of my visit was the reasonable pricing. For the quality and generous portions, I felt like I got great value for my money. The dishes were more than enough to satisfy my hunger, which is always a plus! Additionally, the service was prompt and attentive. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I also appreciated how easy it was to find parking at the multistory carpark located just next to the restaurant, definitely a convenient perk! Hoho Korean Restaurant in Sunset Way offers delicious food, great value, and a warm atmosphere. I can’t wait to return.
