It’s my first time dining here, and it might also be my last. My friend and I were really excited to try the food because everything looked so delicious. The food itself tasted good, but unfortunately the dining experience was quite disappointing. When I took my first bite of the Spicy Stir-Fried Pork, I bit into a piece of metal that looked like a staple. It was really dangerous, and luckily I wasn’t injured. The staff did replace the dish with a new plate after I informed them. However, later on, when we were almost done with the Mul Nangmyun, we found a small piece of plastic in it as well (unfortunately, I didn’t manage to take a photo). To make matters worse, while we were still chatting and finishing up our last bit of food, the waiter came to ask if can clear our table when there is still food not finished. When the waiter was clearing the table, some soup was accidentally splashed onto me while the plates were being stacked. Overall, while the food had potential, the multiple food safety issues and service experience made this a very unpleasant visit.

Decent, I like the kimchi and the rice. Size of the mackerel was good, albeit the fish being drier on one side. Beef broth soup was decent, many pieces of meat but needing salt to have some level of flavour. Soup went lukewarm fast due to the metal bowl, and plenty of MSG. Good to share but probs not for a single person. Maybe it’s out of a ready made bibigo pack? Soup side dish came cold, even after topping up haha… and there was like ONE gaeranmari (egg roll). However I like the quietness of the restaurant on a weekday night because it’s cozily tucked beside Hot Tomato. Free flow barley and ice water too :)

The two noodle dishes came a bit warm only. I feel the flavour would be significantly elevated if they were served hot. The kimchi that came with them was bland and not well marinated. However, we came during Mother’s Day dinner, so the restaurant was packed and the staff might have been overwhelmed and rushing the food. The beef in the noodles was good, while the chicken tasted normal. The seafood pancake was good and not too dry. The bibimbap was the best among the dishes I tried there because it was served hot, but the portion was quite average. I feel it would be better if there was around 50% more.

Why isn't there an outlet in the west, my mum asked. The list of outlets are focused in central, northern and northeastern part of the island, so I picked this place for our lunch. The handcrafted noodles are chewy and nice. The bone broth is very porky, something that not everyone is used to but it was homely for my mum's trip recovery. The half chicken was pull off tender and comes with a side of salt and pepper. I used the dipping sauce for the mandu as well and it has hints of my favourite Knorr Liquid Seasoning. Iced water and hot tea is also self serve and complimentary. We enjoyed ourselves.

Visited on 24-Apr during dinner time (6pm) for 3 paxs... Was early so didnt had to queue up. Was served almost promptly and was told of free-flow hot barley tea and iced water... Soymilk noodles: very nutty and thick texture of the sauce, personally think that this could be shared among 2 to 3 pax so will not be too jelak 😂 Pork bibimbap: will not go wrong for this dish, sauce can be added based on personal liking.. Fried Mandu: 👍🏻 Overall, this encounter is still pretty good! Will visit again to try other dishes..

Had a lovely time at Seoul Noodle Shop Northpoint! We visited their flagship outlet at Tanjong Pagar a few weeks ago and were so happy to discover they have another outlet much nearer to our home. This Northpoint outlet is tucked away in a quiet corner, which made for a calm and peaceful dining experience 😌. There’s generous spacing between tables, so it felt comfortable and private. A special mention to Juliet for her excellent service. She was the only server managing the floor on a Thursday evening, yet she handled everything with warmth and efficiency. She patiently guided customers on where to get the complimentary drinks, kept the banchans topped up, and even accommodated my special request to remove the noodles from my meal without hesitation. Truly 5-star ⭐️ service from Juliet. The food arrived piping hot. I ordered the half chicken soup — while the chicken was slightly tougher compared to the Tanjong Pagar outlet, I actually preferred the soup here. It was better seasoned and not overly rich or salty. The banchans leaned a little too sweet for my taste; reducing the sugar would make them more refreshing as a palate cleanser. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely return to try more dishes.

Want authentic bibimbap? You must try this place. Served on Hot Stone plate (yes, you've read it right), served with a variety of fresh vegetables, mushrooms by the sides, authentic Korean rice in the middle, topped with a lovely sunny side up cooked to perfection - yolk oozing out and mixed with the rice ... oh for those who prefer to slurp it up, the choice is yours! Paired with free flow banchan kimchi and white radish, and hot barley tea. Did I mention the accompanying peppery soup too? Price is on the higher side (so are rentals in the malls), but you're paying for authentic, quality and delicious food that does not stinge on quantity. You should try the Half Chicken Noodles too. No photos as I went straight into it. Hahaha! Did I mention very friendly owner and staff? Exceptional service. Will definitely come back (tonight dinner?), with more photos. Like the review? Give a thumbs up. *** Back for dinner as promised *** We ordered the Pork Bone Spicy Noodles, Spicy Chicken Cheese Dakgalbi, Boiled Pork, and Naju Gomtang. Simply two words - Authentic and Awesome! The broth for the Pork Bone was mind-blowing, reminds of the versions that I enjoyed in Seoul. They even included a disposable glove that I didn't get one when in Seoul. Well anticipated and impeccable service. If you're looking for clean, clear and tasty broth, look no further than Naju Gomtang or the Half Chicken Noodles. To indulge, go for the Boiled Pork! If you like the melt in your mouth experience, you must try this - there is no after-pork taste (you know what I mean). Our kid thoroughly enjoyed his Chicken Cheese Dakgalbi. Check out the new pics. I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical at first when I saw they offer free mandu in exchange for reviews. Usually, that’s a red flag for inflated ratings, but I was relieved to find that the quality of the food actually lives up to the hype. I like the bone broth here. It's got a deep, beefy flavour but feels very clean on the palate and not overly greasy at all. The meat was tender, and the noodles had that perfect, springy texture. ​A nice touch is that they serve a small bowl of rice on the side, which is perfect for soaking up the leftover broth at the end. While the long queue outside might seem intimidating, the service is efficient once you are seated, so it is well worth the wait. This is a great spot, and I’ll definitely be back.
