Summer Pavilion

Had an amazing dining experience at Summer Pavilion tonight. The food was excellent, but what truly elevated the evening was the impeccable service from Dunstan and Karen. Dunstan, the sommelier, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. His wine recommendations paired beautifully with the dishes and enhanced the entire dining experience without ever feeling overwhelming. He was professional, warm, and clearly passionate about what he does. Karen, the supervisor, was equally outstanding. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and ensured everything throughout the dinner was smooth and comfortable. Her attentiveness, friendliness, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thank you both for making the evening such a memorable one. Truly top-tier hospitality and service, looking forward to returning again.

One of my two go-to Michelin-starred Chinese restaurants in Singapore for Cantonese cuisine—and today’s lunch was something special. Chef Cheung Siu Kong prepared a few dishes I hadn’t tried before, and they did not disappoint. The tofu scallop soup remains my favorite—comforting, delicate, and deeply satisfying. But the standout today was the fried grouper with five kinds of grain in a rich fish broth. The broth was thick, full of flavor, and with a touch of chilli padi, it had that perfect extra kick. His signature pork with pineapple was another highlight, beautifully balanced, and we ended on a refreshing pear dessert—light, clean, and the perfect finish. An exceptional lunch. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

Food was good, not great, but about tad above typical upscale Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and upscale. Tableware is beautiful. The older lady who took our order was very professional. She walked us through the a la carte menu with good recommendations. Once we have ordered, the food came out in a very reasonable manner. The Indian staff who attended our table, however, was very junior. He had no background knowledge of the dishes when we asked questions, or took my questions too seriously (eg: the tea cup was Chinese styled but had handles so I asked if it’s because British influence. He couldn’t answer that and said “I’ll go ask my supervisor” in a very serious voice)

Summer Pavilion delivered exactly what you hope for from a Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant. The service was A+ from start to finish. Polished, attentive, and genuinely warm without feeling stiff. The Peking duck was outstanding and easily the highlight of the meal. If you’re dining as a couple, half the duck is plenty, and the lemon chicken is worth ordering alongside it since the brightness balances the richness of the duck beautifully. Honestly there’s very little to nitpick. Every dish we tried was well executed and the pacing of the meal felt just right. It’s refined Cantonese cooking without unnecessary theatrics, which I appreciated. The restaurant sits inside the Ritz so access is simple if you’re staying nearby. It is on the expensive side with dinner likely running $150–200 per person depending on what you order, but the quality of the food and the A+ service make it feel justified. Overall I’d call it a 4.6 that rounds up to a 5. Great spot for couples and an easy choice for a polished night out. We’d absolutely come back.

Had high expectations for a great meal, as we ordered their signature set menu.The food was unmemorable and honestly nothing too impressive. Portions was really tiny for an average guy to get filled. We even had 1 course where the fried beancurd roll was burnt black in the middle and was still served. Their service staff felt untrained and new as well. The senior service staff however had good service recovery and got us a fresh set of beancurd rolls to replace the burnt ones. For the price point of their signature set it was honestly really disappointing. Left with a bitter taste in our mouths. Would not recommend getting their signature set menu, it honestly felt like a rip off. However their dimsum and ala carte seem to look better from our observation of other tables…

Lovely dining experience at this establishment - lobster vermicelli roll was exquisite, yam and pumpkin pastry was tasty without being cloyingly sweet, sweet and sour pork was just the right texture and tangy, crispy chicken lived up to their signature dish, braised beef was delightful collagen richness, smoked duck was so flavourful and crispy, iberico char Siew was tender, the beancurd skin roll was a great inclusion and their Xiao long Bao lobster crab meat was individually served in a small crucible. All diahes were enjoyable and kept eating non stop

Summer Pavilion offers a quietly luxurious backdrop for reunions and celebratory gatherings ✨ The cuisine is refined and impeccably clean, allowing the purity and depth of each ingredient to take centre stage. Flavours are restrained yet confident, a testament to disciplined Cantonese craftsmanship. The dining room exudes understated elegance, composed and timeless rather than ostentatious. Tableware is exquisitely appointed, lending a sense of polish and ceremony to every course. Service is intuitively attentive, even recalling our tea preference despite cups being casually swapped.

I was exceptionally pleased to discover that Summer Pavilion serves both the Ala carte and the Dim Sum menus on the eve of Chinese New Year . The Dim sum dishes were highly commendable especially the yam carrot puff creation which was innovative and refined . The char Siew Bao was fluffy and pork infill was tender and steamed to perfection . The usual Siew mai dish impressed me much as the prawn filling was moist and chewy on the inside . The diced seafood thick soup satisfied my cravings for a warm comforting broth on a rainy afternoon . All in all ,the Dim Sum dishes were nothing sort of excellence , indeed a truly praiseworthy cuisine .Credit goes to the chef and team to prepare such delectable delights served piping hot with such speed coupled with exemplary service .
