2026 July first visit Haru Kochi Cold Brew - Spring seasonal blend, light and delicate. Would have been better as cold brew only without adding ice. Tasted somewhat diluted, and with a sour aftertaste a result. Iced Matcha Latte - good. A little too milky for my taste, but thats me. The matcha seemed good quality to me. Sometimes shops like the more astringent bitter matcha, to show that theres sufficient matcha within, to demonstrate value. Not the case here, they focus more on the lighter less astringent/ bitter matcha, which is also a better quality of matcha. That produces a better drink. Really popular destination, with a constant queue and stream of customers aiming to spend a cosy weekend in a cafe. There were JLPT students, insta-thots, families, a boisterous friendgroup, and a pair of lavender besties doing art. Like the decor and the barrista's professionalism. Sat at the counter and witnessed it first hand.

👍🏼 One of my go-to for filter coffee spot in Singapore Went here by walking and it’s located inside HDB building, came at 2 PM and welcomed by a sweet voiced lady and other humble coffee pros. Ordered Indonesia in iced form and this satisfied my taste buds with its clarity and empowering flavors, has clean-not too heavy aftertaste. Not long wait, it’s worth $10 for a cup made with exceptional quality and this place worth my visit in Singapore. Definitely will come again in other trip and perhaps they stock up whole beans sections which I love to bring back home for brewing ☺️

Ordered the Indonesia Frinsa Estate pour-over and it completely changed how I think about coffee processing. The barista used two kettles at different temperatures — lower heat for the first and last pours, higher heat in the middle — to coax different flavours out of the bean at different stages. The result was almost theatrical: floral aromatics up front, then this gorgeous sweet coating that builds on the tongue like caramelised sugar, fading into a clean black tea finish. No bitterness. No roughness. Just a perfectly structured cup from start to finish. First time I've had a Honey Process coffee and it completely clicked. The barista knew exactly what they were working with and brewed accordingly. The space is lively but the coffee experience felt personal and intentional. Highly recommend if you're into specialty filter — ask what's on the pour-over menu before you order.

It’s a takeout coffee, coffee is great. I usually drink coffee with sugar but the coffee is so good that I don’t need it. It has a natural sweetness and flavour to it! Will definitely recommend and go back again

It was highly recommended before the 20% price increase, but now it's just so-so. As long as there's baca available, it's fine.

🟫 Kurasu Blk 261, Waterloo Street, #01-24, Waterloo Centre Singapore 180261 🟠 Location = Kurasu cafe is located at the foot of a HDB block complex called Waterloo Centre. 🟠 Nearest MRT stations = Bras Basah station and Bencoolen Station. ➖️ My hubby drove us there, and we parked at the basement carpark lot there. 🔵 Decor / History ************************* 🔵 The interior decor of Kurasu cafe is a minimalist and zen-like Japanese-style space with lots of natural wood elements and a clean, uncluttered atmosphere. 🔵 The background ************************* 🔵 Kurasu cafe started off as a Kyoto-based online coffee retailer before opening its first Singapore cafe in 2017 at Odeon Towers. 🔵 Due to its success, it moved to its current Waterloo Centre flagship location, offering authentic Japanese coffee culture and beans freshly flown from Kyoto weekly. 🟨 Beverages = 🟨 We had the Hot Matcha Latte and an Iced Cafe Latte. Both drinks were well crafted and you can tell from the quality of the beverages, that the baristas here take their craft very seriously. 🟩 It was super crowded when we were there at about 11.30 am. We had to wait for a while to get seats. 🟣 Service = The young guy manning the cashier's counter was amiable, pleasant, polite and friendly. 🟣 22nd Feb 2026/ Sunday / CNY 6th day

I had a great experience in Kurasu, and it is one of the best expertise cafe in Singapore. I ordered a cup of V60 filtered Panama, Washed Typica (Light Roast), and a cup of Flat White using the default espresso blends (Brazil/Guatemala/Ethiopia, Washed & Natural (Medium Roast). Both are well prepared and brew right. The Filtered coffee is really clean and bright, with subtle floral and apricot aroma, and obvious Blackcurrant note when it getting warm, sweet and well balanced bodied. The White is really has a fresh orange, chocolate and nutty notes, which goes really well with the milk. Baristas are super friendly and willing to share their knowledge with the customers, I feel really welcomed even during peak hours. Thank you for the experience, and I’m definitely going back again in the future.

I went to Kurasu Singapore yesterday with my partner, and I have to say the coffee was really good. However, I didn’t enjoy the overall atmosphere that much, especially the welcome/service experience. The internet also wasn’t great, which made it a bit less comfortable. Personally, I find the Kurasu shop in Orchard much nicer and more pleasant overall.
