Enjoyed my time in Alchemist here. My experience here was worlds apart from my previous Alchemist visit at Plaza Singapure. This outlet way better! The filter coffee was great, I had a iced white to hedge from my previous poor experience at Alchemist Plaza Singapura. Both coffee here were presented tastefully and properly as well. Tasteful decor in an iconic historical building. Worth noting that the blue and white theme evokes a more cosmopolitan and international feel. Great place for solo patrons. My partner had been here before for an afternoon visit, and remembered it being extremely pleasant. The place was comfy, the door structure was interesting. Theres spots for your gatherings and laptop users as well.

Alchemist at Kong Guan Building is definitely a unique coffee spot in Singapore. The location inside the iconic Kong Guan Building gives it a different and interesting vibe. The coffee was enjoyable, and they also have several pastry options to go with your drink. The space is comfortable and works well for WFC too. Overall, a nice place to grab coffee, enjoy some pastries, and spend a few productive hours! ☕🥐

Really enjoyed my visit to this Alchemist branch. Unlike some of the smaller, mostly-takeaway locations, this one (in a beautiful old building) actually has proper seating — and the best seats are right at the bar, facing the brew station, so you get to watch the barista work. I asked for a recommendation and the barista suggested the El Frutal (Huehuetenango, Guatemala, washed process), saying it would be clearer and cleaner — she was right. Bright apple and citrus up front, mellowing into a lovely milk chocolate note as it cooled. Clean, well-balanced cup, nicely brewed on a V60. Staff were warm and friendly throughout. Great atmosphere for a proper sit-down coffee rather than a quick grab-and-go. Will be back to try more of their filter selection.

Great spot for anyone who appreciates good design as much as good coffee. The interior is genuinely one of the more unique and creative spaces I’ve come across in Singapore’s café scene - the branding and color palette tie the whole experience together beautifully. You can tell a lot of thought went into the ambience. The coffee itself is decent, and the menu selection is a bit more limited compared to other specialty spots, but that’s easily made up for by the overall experience. I’d still recommend giving it a try - the vibe alone puts it in my top 5–10 cafés in Singapore worth visiting.

Alchemist Khong Guan Building a specialty coffee with old desain building but minimalist design and make me feel relaxing atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy. Found this on google maps and couldn't believe it was in my neighbourhood. is that easily overlooked! I will go back .. I ordered filter coffee taste so refreshly but smell coffe not to strong and pastry i like it

The café is located inside the iconic Khong Guan Building, and I really enjoyed how the heritage architecture blends with the modern, minimalist café design. The bright natural light creates a relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind over coffee. We ordered a Hot Latte, Iced Latte, Cascara tea, Chocolate Croissant, and Blueberry Danish. I also liked that you can choose between Dark Matter and Lumos coffee beans to suit your preferred flavour profile. One detail that really impressed me was the latte art. Even after drinking about half of my coffee, the design remained beautifully intact. It’s a small touch, but it reflects the care and craftsmanship that goes into every cup. The pastries were delicious too. The Chocolate Croissant was flaky and buttery with a rich chocolate filling, while the Blueberry Danish was light, crisp, and complemented the coffee perfectly. One small thing to note is that no cutlery is provided for dine-in, so sharing pastries with friends can be a little inconvenient.

I had a 10hrs layover in Singapore, while Changi makes it a worthwhile stop, I decided to venture out into the city to look for good coffee. Alchemist is located inside a historical building and offers great pour overs and espresso based drinks. The cafe interiors offer an elevated modern utilitarian vibe. Well appointed interiors are always top notch in my book as it gives the overall experience more character. I ordered an iced - being 35 degrees outside - oatmilk latte. Despite the milk and ice, the espresso still shined and offered vibrant flavor notes that is perfect for a hot day.

It’s a very chill place, but the noise can be quite moderately loud if that matters. Though a lot of people love to meet here and have casual meetings. There were students too. They sell beans and a couple of mugs
