Dropped by for a meeting and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The place has a nice, cosy vibe with soft music in the background, making it a comfortable spot to relax or have a casual discussion. Service was good throughout, with the staff being attentive and welcoming. The coffee was good, and the chocolate cake was surprisingly nice as well — a great pairing for an afternoon catch-up. Most importantly, it was a good respite from the heat outside. Nice atmosphere, good coffee, decent desserts, and a comfortable environment to spend some time in. A lovely spot to unwind, have a meeting, or simply enjoy a quiet coffee break.

Great Coffee but Average Eats. Dropped by Chye Seng Huat Hardware to check out their industrial setup. Here’s the quick breakdown: The Coffee: Good and consistently satisfying. A solid brew that hits the spot for a caffeine fix. The Food: Only okay. While the hot, cheese-laden dish looked promising, the overall execution fell a bit flat on flavor. The Vibe: Housed in a heritage hardware storefront with a bustling wooden island counter and plenty of bar stools inside. *Final Verdict* The iconic shophouse atmosphere and reliable coffee make Chye Seng Huat Hardware worth a stop, even if the food leaves a bit to be desired. Price per pax - about $15 to $25

Good food and good atmosphere. All are tasty and decent. Price is on the middle side Pet friendly !!! Atmosphere is unique. Worth coming for the atmosphere. Slightly noisy due to the chit chatting of the crowd but you are able to hear the your friends talking. Music is decent, they are not blasting the music. I would come again probably 1-2 months later

Surprisingly good food with generous portions for a cafe. We tried the: • Tomato Cream Pasta: This was the only dish that was a complete miss. The pasta was rather tasteless and the chicken had a really strong meaty taste. Avoid! • Triple Cheese Grilled Sandwich: Simple but superb, a grilled cheese sandwich done well. • Spicy Pulled Pork Burger: My favourite of the meal, the pulled pork was fantastic. The fries were delicious as well! • Pumpkin Mushroom Feta Cheese: This was alright, not bad but not fantastic. Would probably pass on this to try new things next time. We came early on a weekend before 11am and only managed to get seats outside, but at least we didn't need to queue. Do come early to avoid the crowd as this cafe is extremely popular! Service was great, love that there is complimentary water too. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for both the food and the vibes!

coffee is alright, banana cake could’ve been more moist n banana forward, service is basically non existent despite paying for service charge, you order thru a qr code and service staff are cold n non verbal when you say thank you, banana cake was dry, thankfully this lady FOH staff was able to salvage this experience after we found a strand of hair on our cake, unfortunately won’t be back

The place is beautiful and quiet, an excellent choice for breakfast. They also have a lunch menu, with options for indoor or outdoor seating. Vegetarian options are available, and it's suitable for families and people with disabilities. The service is excellent and fast. 🤍🤍 I've added the menu with pictures.

As a coffee lover, home barista, and cafe hopper, the Roastery Tour was one of the best ways for me to spend my Saturday 💯. I highly recommend booking a slot for anyone looking to deepen their understanding and appreciation for coffee ☕. A special shout-out to the facilitator of my session 📣 who led a thorough and interactive tour, patiently answered all my burning questions, and kept the entire session fun and engaging. Discussing everything from what makes speciality coffee ✨special ✨, processing methods and their effects on taste profiles to roasting 101...the tour is really worth your while. As added bonuses, you even get to use a portion of your ticket fee as a voucher for any of the store's products and get a 10% same-day discount at for F&B ⭐

One thing I couldn’t get over was how they used tap water for all of their iced blacks. I got the nitro cold brew so it wasn’t too bad but I was honestly shocked! Ambience was nice but croissant was utterly disappointing for $6 :( Dry, lack of butter and not at all delightful. Good size but low quality. Nitro cold brew ($9 after taxes) was pleasant and smooth but honestly wasn’t cool enough as compared to other nitro brews I’ve had before. Could work on the temperature. Nitro oat cold brew ($10) was smooth and delightful but still a tad pricey. Spam fries were average with a mustard sauce that gave it some life. Ambience is pretty cosy both inside and outside, but food menu could be worked on. Not sure if I’d be back for the price and after the experience. Still appalled at tap water used for iced black. I guess there’s a first for everything. A reply to their reply: Well, I didn’t know you used your “special filtered mineral water” to wash your hands and dishes as well…? It’s literally water from the tap where the dish soap and sponges are at, and what your service staff used to wash their hands and miscellaneous items… didn’t know you had so much supply that went through the main piping system lol
