Hải sản Châu Nga (Châu Sơn 1)

The best shrimp restaurant of my life... The sauce is unlike anything I've ever tasted. It looks like garlic butter, so you'd expect a strong garlic aroma, but that's not the case. You absolutely must order the banh mi bread. I don't usually like oysters, but the ones topped with cheese weren't fishy at all; I didn't even realize it until I ate them here that I actually liked them. The size alone is massive. To order, just sit down, go to the counter inside, and tell them. Beer is available at the counter, so just ask and they'll bring it over. I'm someone who rarely leaves reviews.

This a low-chair/table & smoky kinda local street-side eatery. Be prepared for the full force of Asian chaos to be unleashed upon you. But if you could endure all those (including annoying toddlers playing with chopsticks like a drum next to you), you'd be rewarded with tasty seafood. We ordered (1) oysters with scallions & peanuts (they mixed it with some oysters with cheese by mistake), (2) clam soup with basil leaves, lemongrass, garlic & green chili, and of course (3) garlic butter prawns. They were all super delicious, though the latter was especially divine (I mopped up all the garlic butter with a baguette). No English spoken, so get a local to bring you here. The less crowded eatery opposite with similar name (Hải Sản Châu Sơn 2) is operated by a rival sibling, and I was told that Châu Sơn 1 is better.

The food was tastier than I expected, and the atmosphere was like a typical local Vietnamese restaurant. Since it was a local eatery, communicating in English was difficult, so I used Google Translate to order. However, perhaps due to a mix-up, the food didn't arrive even after about 20 minutes, and I ended up having to reorder. It felt like the Garlic Butter Shrimp and Banh Mi were the main dishes; it seemed like every table had them... haha.

We ordered food 40 minutes ago and it still hasn't arrived. We couldn't even get the bill (because we had a drink while waiting). The service is terrible. Everyone should avoid this place.

This was my first time eating such delicious buttered shrimp, and it wasn't greasy at all. The cooking method was also different from Saigon. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the dishes were served quickly. The crab in tamarind sauce was also incredibly tasty!

The food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. The seafood is fresh. Make sure you go to Chau Son 1 restaurant!

The food was delicious. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and the seafood was firm and plump. The restaurant was very crowded, making ordering difficult, and the owner wasn't very friendly when taking orders. However, because the food was outstanding, I still rate it a must-visit spot!
