A perfect way to end the night in Da Nang was with a late supper at Bé Ni 2 Seafood Restaurant, a lively seafood spot that has earned recognition in the Michelin Guide for three consecutive years. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by rows of live seafood tanks overflowing with crabs, lobsters, prawns, clams, oysters and shellfish, allowing diners to handpick their catch before it goes straight to the kitchen. We indulged in a wonderful seafood feast, starting with sweet spotted sea snails stir-fried with lemongrass, chilli and fresh herbs - fragrant, spicy and incredibly addictive. The grilled oysters were packed with garlic, spring onions and crispy shallots, delivering a rich and smoky flavour. Fresh prawns cooked with garlic showcased their natural sweetness, while the steamed flower crabs were simple yet delicious, highlighting the freshness of the seafood. The standout of the evening was undoubtedly the large lobster, generously coated in a savoury sauce that complemented the firm, succulent meat perfectly. We also enjoyed grilled pork wrapped with fresh vegetables and herbs, adding a nice contrast to the seafood-heavy meal. The stir-fried squid was tender and flavourful, with just the right amount of wok hei. What impressed me most was the freshness of everything on the table. Watching the seafood being selected directly from the tanks gave confidence that every dish was as fresh as it could be. Combined with the bustling local atmosphere and reasonable prices, Bé Ni 2 is a fantastic place to experience Da Nang’s vibrant seafood culture. A satisfying feast and a memorable way to wind down the evening.
